  1. Well, you're welcome to volunteer your services and stop derailing this thread.
  2. Fuck that, it's ND vs OSU! If it were ASU vs USC I'd be all over it.
  3. Your troll attempts are amusing. BO&W says Sark's sobriety is his problem. I take issue with that notion. You defend him saying he wasn't. I clearly illustrate he was via his post. You claim you were trying to be polite. Here we are a day later and you're still on about it calling me names and arguing and otherwise providing zero input on the thread topic. Okay hondo doesn't get much trollier than that.
  4. All of this!
  5. Allow someone to criticize another for questioning the sobriety of anyone and I won't be a douche bag you fucking nitwit.
  6. I went to my first OU/Texas game at 8 years old. It was my inspiration to play peewee football. I didn't have family members that were Longhorns and my Fandom was just from a distance, but always there. When it was time to pick a college 3 were at the top of my list. Texas was one of them, so was Michigan (A nerd that loved the character Wolverine and a fun silly US invasion movie), and Stanford (I told you I was a nerd). I got into all three and went on tours of the Campuses. I came down for spring break for Texas and I walked around campus. I promise you, it wasn't the sport, architecture or great education that day on campus that guided me towards Texas. It was the warm weather, 16 year old testosterone and the co-eds that officially sealed the deal. I am and always will be proud that I graduated from Texas. It's an amazing school and I love the University. But BE this is about sports. Right. So I started in 91, picked up season tickets and over the course of the next 31 years missed sum total of 4 home games despite not living in Austin for 15 of them. I missed 1 Texas vs Ou and went to EVERY game in 1995 and 2005. I say all that because it helps clarify the narrative. 1991-2004 had some really good years, but it had a lot more mediocre to just not great years. Suffering through a lot of those painful year and the 80s is what, I believe, instills in you real sports team love. Just like any relationship, sticking with it good times and bad. Because.. when Vince crossed that goal line in 2005 vs USC it provided a feeling of pride and joy, of belonging and team that I can't and won't try to describe. Words can't really tell the story. Then, of course we had Colt, 2009 and.... a LONG dive into pain. I was skeptical of Sark, I remain so. I complain about issues I see, and will continue to do so. I do so, because I care, because it matters to me. I also bought a National Championship game ticket after Texas/OU this year and booked a room. Last night stung, a lot and I bitched, a lot. However, Texas athletics are in a better place than they've been in a long time, maybe ever. Our football program is absolutely in a great place. Last night hurt, but I firmly believe games like last night truly are what make the high of winning a championship indescribably amazing. So, I'll lick my wounds, sell my ticket, cancel my hotel and smile. Texas is impacting the college football world in a big way and with a few specific changes, is going to dominate it.
  7. I'm just ready for a change. Let's go see.
  8. Well, this thread has been interesting. Will be interesting to see what Quinn's future holds. Despite what many here may think, I am grateful he came, and I'll think on him fondly while wishing him success. He's moving on and so am I. See you fools in the Arch thread next year.
  9. I've got no time nor desire for your kind words and positive outlook. I'm here to bitch and moan about shit and I don't need you comin' round with your Mary Poppins "Sun will come out" skip de da bullshit. Take it to the Lulz sub you bear lovin' commie! Also, yeah, were doing pretty good. But FUCK YOU!
  10. I dunno man, we win at Vandy. We all know First Bank Field is a tough place to win. Yeah, he got hurt on a spearing that wasn't called, reviewed or even discussed much.
  11. Quinn made some mistakes, just like ASU, and just like ASU this loss is a LOT more on Sark than Quinn.
  12. I'll one up you. What was the biggest win this year? Michigan? ASU? Clemson? OU? aggie?
  13. Mack Brown and Bob Stoops agree with you. Saban and Meyer think you're hilarious.
  14. HCs are and always will be, like QBs judged by their successes or failures in the biggest moments. Ask Doug Flutie. That said it was Sarks best half time adjustments in 7 games. I guess he focused on that over the break rather than goal line game plans. Maybe next time he'll do both.
  15. User name and what not..
  16. Hiring Chip Kelly is what had made the "break through" for Day thus far. He did still lose to Michigan though.
  17. It looked like it might have been to me too. Frankly the coverage of it was pretty limited and I never got to see the replay and then OSU had 6 points.
  18. Damn... there were 5 defenders that had a chance to stop that play.
  19. When a QB isn't a threat to run, doesn't have a good deep ball, has easily batted down balls, move to the check down quickly, and throws INTs fairly often... it does a lot to helps a DC game plan an attack and limit what an offense can do. When it's coupled with slow developing plays and draws by the OC, makes it even easier for the defensive players. Not sure why this is a complex concept to understand, but I guess pointing at one group of players or another requires less thought and comprehension about football plays and players abilities.
  20. You mean like stepping INTO a collapsing pocket multiple times in multiple CFP games?
  21. And they have to respect a QB that can run. A good deep ball and good mobility in an RPO make it hum. Which begs the question, why was Sark playing a limited mobility QB who's long ball is questionable?
  22. Less than 3 hours ago we were 2 yards from a tie game. Winning it gets us in the National Championship game. This is FAR from over, worse than that reality. It's the off season. Buckle up!
  23. Then simply stop quoting me and move on.
  24. I can both like Quinn, be grateful for him and at the same time question his ability to be a QB that can win a national championship. Getting to the CFP is great. But at the start of the season, I'm pretty sure the goal is to win the National championship. Having someone at the most important position on the field that's not capable of doing sk is a coaching error. Taking issue with a QB who can't isn't new or unique to Texas fans nor college football. If someone takes NIL money to play the most scrutinized position on one of the most covered teams in college football, then that person under performs, some fans are gonna ask questions. Texas, OSU, USC, Oregon, Michigan doesn't fucking matter. That some fans here take issue with that reality is so very strange. Wouldn't be strange to me on Texags, but it certainly is on Surly. Surly.. fans on SURLY it's in the fucking name of the URL.
