  1. nlg the polo shirt and kicks in the video were very sharp. That's all I got.
  2. Well Biff, I won't speak for others but I know seeing that pic made me wish I had gone to aggie. The Fandom of meat judging championships surpassed all other college sports entertainment long ago.
  3. Millions of Children Orlando - Mickey Mouse Shit Away Unpredictable Shit - Influencers and Asshole Tech Bros
  4. I've never been to a football game, but have spent a goodly amount of time on campus for work items. It's a friendly town, lots of good restaurants, fans will be into it but Texas fans will be viewed as interesting or just different. Most hostilities are reserved for Louisville and to a far lower degree Indiana, Florida and Arkansas. If you haven't booked a hotel do it yesterday. Since I haven't been there for football I can't speak to tailgates but I'm asking some UK contacts I have about them. I'll be there and if you want any tips on restaurant, hotels, want to connect or whatever just PM me. If you're a car enthusiast and have time, Blue Ridge Parkway is absolutely worth the time to drive. Just keep the speed down as it is a government revenue producer. If you're a Bourbon guy there are lots of great side trips off the Parkway. I'd say only Cbus is a better town than Lexington as an away trip this year and that's only because Cbus is much larger and more metro with better restaurants. I'm suprised there isn't more interest for the UK game for fans here. The OSU fans take Cbus value down a lot, so I personally think UK is the best road trip this year. Though watching Texas play #2 is a massive reward, particularly if we win.
  5. Well you stupid sip there is still an aggie in the top 10!!!!! (Former student as there are no exes at aggie)
  6. Did not see this story posted in DT. Horrific doesn't even begin to describe this story. I don't even really know what to say beyond I'm absolutely floored at the depths of evil in some people. These aren't humans, they are real world monsters. New York Times Link
  7. I'd rather drive the 17 hrs each way than deal with AUS and MCO regularly.
  8. Fair enough, but I might suggest not arguing with me about how well MB performed against Ousux in the first place. Particularly not on the first edition of the 2025 college football Coaches Poll thread.
  9. King (in GT's offense), Clubnic and Leavitt are very to extremely good, King particularly for GT(Tripple Option). Allar will be argued but the general consensus is he's A list. Beck gets a lot of love but he's a poor man's Quinn, well, he's a rich fools Quinn. The reason why King being on that list is so funny is A) He may just be the best for his specific team B) his team runs triple option C) He used to play for aggie that could absolutely use someone with his skillset
  10. Haynes King being #3 on that list provided as evidence is the fucking chef's kiss.
  11. The fuck does that have to do with Mack Brown and his performances against OUsux?
  12. Exclusive: Putin doubts potency of Trump's ultimatum to end the war - Reuters Link So a few thoughts. Assuming the first offer from Putin is true, giving up air in this conflict is the same as just conceding the whole fucking thing to Russia. Despite what Russia or more specifically Putin is claiming I think there is more concern than they will admit about further sanctions or tariffs. If Trump doesn't see this as just more bullshit from Putin, I don't know what to say.
  13. Well, you idiot, simply ship the energy back to earth via Tesla batteries.
  14. So I took a minute to internalize and process some of the underrated and overrated @closetojumping were discussing. I started with the basic reality that Coaches polls, as I understand, have always been shooting from the hip sort of deal. These coaches or whoever is filling in the votes are in the middle of summer camp and the last thing they give a shit about is ranking teams much less looking at depth charts or schedules. So, they are going to vote on the things they know, historicals and sometimes for or against certain teams given bias or favoritism toward or against teams in their conference or for other reasons. See the voters in spoiler below, their teams and these biases will start to solidify. Big XII 6 voters B1G 9 voters SEC 8 voters ACC 7 voters (I own I may have missed some or got them incorrect) Taking a quick examination of the Arizon State and Indiana University, what you have is 2 historically under performing schools that BOTH lost their most high profile and arguably most productive players to the draft. They aren't names in their conference nor historically. Their coaches are not well known historically either. They both had 1 really good year that caught the attention of the nation. So, knowing those facts, without looking at depth charts nor schedule, I could see it being extremely easy to dismiss them both, throw them somewhere in the top 25 and call it a day. In a interesting similar aspect, while Deboer and Bama are both known, they also lost their starting QB and so that aligns with the logic of them being at the lower end of top 10 in this less than in depth thought process of coach voters. I'll point out that Washington and Georgia Tech are simply lesser known and as such probably just skipped pushed to the lower end by non-ACC or B1G coaches.
  15. Knee-jerk reaction When used metaphorically, "knee-jerk" describes a response that is quick, instinctive, and not well-thought-out. It often suggests a reaction based on habit, emotion, or ingrained biases rather than careful consideration.
  16. What a POS. Yes, allowing dogs on others property is problematic, but it happens often and 99.9% of the time a verbal response will send them running. There are unfortunate times when lethal force is required but this sure as hell doesn't sound like one.
  17. Spoilered below are my responses in italic I'll come back later on Iowa State, Missery, Nebraska and Louisville. Of those Louisville is the easiest sell, IMO.
  18. Zeno, never forget about Zeno. Not that I knew who Zeno nor any of the other names were, but Zeno is a funny name so I'm hoping he becomes the new savior in Oct after Reed is either knocked out (NOT hoping for injury) or walked out as yet another failed savior.
  19. I like QBRD better. QB revolving door, but we can sell it to aggie as Research and Development
  20. Here is my response to your picks. Green means I think they are underrated. Yellow means I need to look more at their schedule or don't know enough to call. Red mean I think they are over rated or should not be in the top 25. There are 4 glaring ones to me. ASU, Indiana both possible top 10 aggie and Tennessee that only belong on a list of also rans.
  21. Well, I knew it FSU was gonna be extremely young, but I wasn't aware of just how grim it was so, thanks. I still never love giving a lot away with brand new QB on the road, and recognize my hypocrisy with Arch at OSU. I'd counter Arch isn't brand new and a different level. The line opened Bama -11.5 and has already grown to -13.5. Based on both what you just said and the Bama reputation I anticipate it will grow a goodly amount prior to game. If I was going to take it, I'd take it now and as noted, think it's a good bet.
  22. I can get behind your first point, but I think it's a full on punchers brawl and Arch having a tad more experience thus composure than Sayin or whomever OSU ends up trotting out and Texas D ends up being the difference. For Bama, I think giving the points at 13.5 is probably safe, but I still wouldn't place that bet.
  23. Well, based on what I've seen from him he loves Allar and as for him thinking Frankling will not go full Turtle Tom.. Gamblers Fallacy maybe?
  24. Me or Klatt? Never mind, doesn't matter the answer is yes, multiple times for both. Otherwise, agreed on all aspects. I'd even give Michigan and Oregon the coaching nod over PSU and I don't have a ton of faith in Moore.
  25. Well, with Macovick a big issue with the players was he was the opposite of a player's coach. He was stiff, uppity and better than. Given that Elko went to Penn coached at 2 Catholic Schools and some other sort of elite type schools all while being from Jersey.. the personality gap may also be similar to the Texas player's. Then he's also mowing down Dixie Chicken meals like Beowolf.
