  1. I personally just wish that aggie had Cougar High on it's schedule this year. My god, the potential.. I can still dream of a GT or Houston bowl game for aggie. I am pretty confident one of the three is going to actually be a really good team and it isn't one from Texas. Neither of which are getting in the CFP.
  2. I absolutely agree and I'm in strong support of both aspects. Finding athletes with a good moral compass and continued support of said compass after leaving that support system is what I'm endorsing.
  3. Well, I don't hold out much hope for the rest of the SEC or college football in general, but I really hope Chris and Sark have a life skills and finance management team on staff. Not for just illegal stuff but simple shit like don't invest in crypto, the internet is forever, some "friends" are bad news, there is always a camera running, street racing is not cool, drugs are bad mmmkay, and drunk women can't consent. I think that covers about 95% of college athlete's issues. Sadly, I feel compelled to add don't beat women. I'll call that Lawrence Phillips clause.
  4. Are you trying to tell me you wouldn't have preferred Meat Pimp to Patterson? but to get us back on track, we are also rans when it comes to horrible athletic department choices next to aggie just like their football team. I'll see myself out, thank you.
  5. I'm really don't want to be perceived as defending aggie, but sadly they don't hold the all the patents on bad decisions. Sure, they are the kings of shitty choices but...
  6. The aggie record against decent teams at home would make that substantially harder to argue.
  7. It wasn't just his playing that caused concerns. In fact, it was his attitude and off field behavior that likely were the major factors in him dropping so low.
  8. I'm aware. I was referring more to determining the progress or lack thereof for Texas OL being hard to determine.
  9. Not applicable in LA but I've zero interest in cloaking up this thread.
  10. Yeah an odd inferiority complex is a really good way to describe it. I don't always get "The Real" UT comment but I absolutely get some side eyes pretty frequently at places like the grocery store.
  11. Slight fix for more football specific examples but yeah... I will say Georgia grads are also annoying just not to the Tshirt fan level.
  12. Yeah the weird thing about scrimmage is well, who is actually good. Yes, we know that our front 7 is really, really good, but is our OL just dealing with a great front 7 or... Never ending question mark
  13. The Tennessee grads I know absolutely do the "Real" UT thing, and a better than you attitude. That said, there really isn't hate. Tennessee can't stand Arkansas folk, similar to Texas. They think Aggie is really weird. Mostly there isn't much antimosity towards Texas, but we haven't played the in football yet.. so...
  14. This. I wanna get up, move slow, drink coffee, eat breakfast, maybe run a errand if I'm inclined. Get home, start some lunch, turn on the game.
  15. Yeah, dumb fucking whorns, it's on the damn wall!!
  16. HAH! Didn't see this post prior to mine. We seem to be on nearly the exact same page. It's killing me that my impression of MSU nearly mirrors yours. I had never made the Tech comparison, it's a good one.
  17. Pretty much tracks with my own personal experience. Vandy fans are largely harmless and fine to be around, but they have an unearned entitlement which is odd but I think it comes from the academic aspect. They remind me a bit of a much more sedate CU fan, who are insufferable when their team is good. Trojan Fans are also in this pool to a lesser degree. The "real" UT isn't limited to just Vols, but they do own it. SEC t-Shirt fans that don't have an overwhelming allegiance think that way in Tennessee. Auburn fans care about one thing, do you hate Bama? "Yes, then we're cool." They don't like Georgia either and Tennessee is not well received, but those are all very secondary. That's a proximity and good historical performance issue I believe. I mentioned it in the Tailgate thread but Kentucky fans are largely cool and pretty whatever when it comes to Texas outside of Basketball where they hate Louisville (in all things) and generally despise everyone else. Mississippi State is weird. They just seem to dislike everyone and hate Old Miss. I have only know a couple of SC folks, they are very cool and don't seem to have a particular feeling either way about Texas. Broadly speaking, Georgia fans are the worst.
  18. While having a firearm on campus may be legal, rarely is having one in a dorm in state law. However, it is Louisiana so who knows. I don't know the ages of JT's buddies, but you can not legally buy pistols until you're 21 under federal law. Of course, given the clear brain trust we're dealing with, it may turn out one of the firearms was used in the murder.
  19. Well @closetojumping perhaps Tarp has found LDS and is of the position that Reed will find his long game in a magic hat. As for Steele and over rating, he's not alone in the media and it just boggles my mind. This year aggie along with PSU and the other love fest media frequently for no good reason Miami are all the WTFs. At least PSU has a track record, granted its choking all big games where talent is equal or greater, but the same can't be said for Miami and certainly not aggie.
  20. The best part is the bulk of the game coverage on the show was pro-aggie and showed the 2 turn overs. Yet, aggie, and my dear boy Graham specifically, went on a rant about the BOMC now stemming to BONC. I'm sure Texas will be responsible for some upcoming liberal "woke" pro-Austin aka Longhorn productions on Apple and Amazon in the very near future. What starts here changes the world. Uh.... you might want to look up the owners of Buc-ees
  21. Hah, so someone, named morriscat22, that allegedly attends Vandy is talking about the history of the SEC and we are all pretending they actually represent anyone's opinion in the SEC aside from their own? Nobody in the SEC gives a shit about Vandy. They're good at baseball, and otherwise they're "snobs". Second, yeah, before Texas arrived Tennessee loved Vandy, Bama and Florida. There is nothing but warmth and sharing in Jacksonville when Florida and Georgia play. Egg Bowl is when all the MSU and Ole Miss fans share egg salad and egg salad sandwiches at a huge picnic. Nothing but love and respect in the Iron Bowl just like the Red River Shootout/Rivalry. At half time of the Magnolia Bowl LSU and Ole Miss fans exchange flowers hence the name. What a load of shit.
  22. Quick update. Charlie Brown's did at least respond with a notice that they are seeing if they can accommodate our group. I also reached out to: Agave and Rye The Melodeon Ethereal Brewing Public House - this is likely where I will end up if we don't put anything together. In my search I came across these and thought I'd include them for individual exploration. OBC Kitchen Happy Hour This is a great restaurant happy hour aside. It will be busy so make reservations. West Sixth Brewery Tour Infinity Rooftop Restaurant for those traveling with someone they need to "impress"
  23. 3rd quarter offense and to a lesser degree D has been suboptimal for sure.
  24. Else umbrage mayhap eventuate.
