  1. Hiring Chip Kelly is what had made the "break through" for Day thus far. He did still lose to Michigan though.
  2. It looked like it might have been to me too. Frankly the coverage of it was pretty limited and I never got to see the replay and then OSU had 6 points.
  3. Damn... there were 5 defenders that had a chance to stop that play.
  4. When a QB isn't a threat to run, doesn't have a good deep ball, has easily batted down balls, move to the check down quickly, and throws INTs fairly often... it does a lot to helps a DC game plan an attack and limit what an offense can do. When it's coupled with slow developing plays and draws by the OC, makes it even easier for the defensive players. Not sure why this is a complex concept to understand, but I guess pointing at one group of players or another requires less thought and comprehension about football plays and players abilities.
  5. You mean like stepping INTO a collapsing pocket multiple times in multiple CFP games?
  6. And they have to respect a QB that can run. A good deep ball and good mobility in an RPO make it hum. Which begs the question, why was Sark playing a limited mobility QB who's long ball is questionable?
  7. Less than 3 hours ago we were 2 yards from a tie game. Winning it gets us in the National Championship game. This is FAR from over, worse than that reality. It's the off season. Buckle up!
  8. Then simply stop quoting me and move on.
  9. I can both like Quinn, be grateful for him and at the same time question his ability to be a QB that can win a national championship. Getting to the CFP is great. But at the start of the season, I'm pretty sure the goal is to win the National championship. Having someone at the most important position on the field that's not capable of doing sk is a coaching error. Taking issue with a QB who can't isn't new or unique to Texas fans nor college football. If someone takes NIL money to play the most scrutinized position on one of the most covered teams in college football, then that person under performs, some fans are gonna ask questions. Texas, OSU, USC, Oregon, Michigan doesn't fucking matter. That some fans here take issue with that reality is so very strange. Wouldn't be strange to me on Texags, but it certainly is on Surly. Surly.. fans on SURLY it's in the fucking name of the URL.
  10. There are something that aren't okay on the internet. You don't get a blind pass because you're anonymous.
  11. It wasn't a play call. Sark had 5, 5 downs from the 2 yard line to get a TD. Five attempts. It results in 7 points for OSU There is no planet where you call that good coaching. And.. Correct me if I'm wrong here but I thought coaches were responsible for ya know.. coaching the OL too. Or.. are they on some sort of island and coaches get a pass for their shitty play?
  12. I quote and underlined his exact statement. Saying someone's sobriety is "Their biggest problem", is questioning their sobriety. Read his quote and tell me how you perceived it as a positive. He then goes on to say that what he learned in sobriety won't cut it if you want to win titles. I don't know how the hell you consider that not questioning his sobriety.
  13. I heard I think Klatt say recently something I agree with.. Something that defines a great coach is they blame losses on the coaching staff, credit wins on the players.
  14. Just as anyone NOT questioning Sarks game day play calling and adjustments anyone questioning PK at this point is equally stupid.
  15. There's a line and IMO this crossed it. Criticizing Sark is one thing, second guessing anyone's sobriety is another. Don't do that.
  16. This team called OSU brought in a pretty good play caller too seems to have helped. Sark can still be Sark and come up with the offensive ideas and his script. Then turn it over for game day play calling and half time adjustments. Anyone who doesn't see the need for this isn't paying attention.
  17. 5 officially. We had five but on the 4th we turned it over.
  18. Minor fix but it matters. With the PI Texas actually had 1 down to go 2 yards and 4 more to go 1 yard. We lost 7 and gave up 6 points. Me too.
  19. I think Sark COULD see it, and game planned around Quinns weaknesses. Why he never replaxed Quinn is a different discussion altogether. What was bad was not giving Arch, our starter next year, more meaningful playing time THIS year.
  20. Well, we beat aggie who played ND really close, we also beat Michigan who beat OSU and they are both playing for the NC so that means Sark and Quinn are amazing. It's a sign.
  21. 2 things are not possible at the same time if one of them is a negative against Quinn.
  22. Well, hold on there Skippy. I don't disagree with your take, but Arch still had one of the longest rushes of the game. That said our head coach not giving more meaningful snaps to the back up QB who we ALL know is the starter next year is very much a FUPM dumass move. I think there are other factors at play here best left to the Sark thread, but it's absolutely poor head coaching for Arch not to get more snaps this year.
  23. He speared Arch and it wasn't called. Yes that looked like an injury and I'm actually glad Arch didn't come back.
  24. Quinn lost the biggest games of his career. Fans don't like QBs if they don't have faith in them to win the biggest games. That's not unique at all to Quinn or Texas fans.
