  1. Shot 78 in a tournament at Cowboys Golf Club yesterday. I had a 3 putt from 10 feet and doubled the last hole or it would have been one of my best rounds in a long time.

The greens keeper woke up and chose violence with his pin placements though. 3 or 4 different holes where you just could not stop the ball at the hole if you missed going downhill. He had them placed a few feet from false fronts and from the edges in other spots tucked behind traps. I think watching the PGA inspired him to brutalize everyone yesterday. I was above the hole on the 10 ft/3 wiggle and went a tad bit aggressive trying to birdie - ended up with 15 feet coming back up the hill. The course was in great shape and the greens rolled really well.

I still have 3 All Star Shrimp Tail specials.

And a few All Star Titaniums.

    Damn fine roods.

I still enjoy fishing with it. It's whippy as hell and you can almost load it like a fly rod to shoot out certain baits. But then I pick up a Loomis or one of my Kistler pool cues and have to totally reset.

i had a green curado back in the day. it was damn red fish killer !!!!!

the shimanos are worth the money, they'll bury you with that reel

I won a Curado and a 7 ft All Star Shrimp Tail Special at a CCA banquet when I was in high school and I still have it. It was the first good rig that I ever owned and it's got tons of red fish on the wall and I caught what is still my PR bass on it too.

  6. Lew's fan here as well. I've still got a couple of the old round green Curados from the late 90s that I use for big heavy cranks or for cat fishing, but had spotty luck on a couple of newer ones ~10 years ago. I never been able to bring myself to pony up for the top of the line Shimano reels though. I've bought Daiwa or Lew's the last few times I needed a new reel and have been really impressed by the Lew's.

I got this one a few weeks ago out of the bargain bin on Tackle Warehouse and it can sling a swimbait farther than I need it to.

In industry as well. Don’t know how long you’ve been in the business, but I am extremely skeptical of your last sentence, first paragraph.  I’m curious where you think the broader economy shores up oil markets when we’re seeing significant, repetitive draws on inventory over the last 5 weeks and we’ve seen oil consistently tick down.  Frankly, I’d think that an overheated economy would provide support for oil markets and what we’re seeing real time is that although inflation still seems to be an issue (given the Fed’s rate increase) oil prices are down considerably. IMHO, this is so freaking counter intuitive, as cost of real goods/inputs/in-elastic products should trade in lock step with inflation as opposed to being negatively correlated, which is what we’re seeing with oil vs inflation right now.  The fundamentals have no impact on the trade at this point… until they do.

I don't understand it all as much as you do, but I REALLY don't understand how the fundamentals mean fuckall at this point. Unless oil has become a leading indicator of the economy and we are headed for real trouble with issues in banking + inflation finally pushing us into a painful recession.

Porterhouse has been trying to speak $100/bbl into existence for a long time on here now. It won't become true just because you keep typing it...

This right here. I'm not at all surprised he put these thoughts into writing - he really believes that shit.

I wonder if Fox leaked this as a shot across the bow? What else is redacted that they are holding back if 'lil Tuck continues to poke the bear?

Your post inspired me to buy more, in order to average down (the only way to properly #stonk), dropped my average cost by 1/2, and now I only need IBRX to go up about 2.7x instead of over 5x. Feels like I am ready to make some money.

I gotta be honest, the same thought crossed my mind, but I resisted the urge. I'm an oak.

There's nothing that required him to disclose the identity of the purchaser.

    the big lebowski dude GIF

    Kinda the whole point here.

And when legislation is proposed that would require the USSC to establish their own ethics code, Turtle shoots that down as an attempt by the left to tear down the "conservative" justices. We can't even ask them to formally police themselves with a binding code, nope, that's a witch hunt!

ETA - you make a fair point though and I was actually under the impression that they were required to disclose such things. I see there's a place on the disclosure form (linked in your NYT article) for listing the buyer, but all of these were blank on Gorsuch's form.

  11. Right. Just smear shit all over the place and then people won't even be annoyed by the stench.

Well, it does smell a little funny, but I don't see any shit stains on Gorsuch himself, so what's the big deal?

Fuck that, we should be concerned and investigate any time we smell something foul.

He tried for a couple years to sell a property.  Then he becomes a Justice and all of a sudden it sells in days to someone who has a case before the court.  That's the opposite of a non-story.

This. It's a mighty big coincidence - ESPECIALLY when you consider that he forgot to disclose it. Oops!

I think some of you have become desensitized to fuckery. There are certainly degrees of fuckery and this isn't nearly as egregious as Thomas' numerous issues, but this is still out and out fuckery.

  14. He's such a thin-skinned snowflake. How do you not have a boring ass canned response that you can deadpan deliver ready to go for a question you knew was going to be asked? He's a terrible politician. Not a snowball's chance in hell that this guy could win a national election.

Ron has painted himself into a cultural war corner and has one of the most punchable faces of any national figure to boot. So smarmy and unlikable. It's amazing really.
