  1. I have never even come close to finding anything remotely decent at Applejack in Wheat Ridge. Is there a secret handshake I don’t know about?? Argonaut on the other hand is money. Always more store picks than you can shake a stick at, and I’ve found some very hard to find bottles there as well.

Applejack is huge and has a great selection for most things. But bourbon is tough to come by everywhere. Haven't been to Argonaut in a long time.
  2. There's a liquor stare at Lionshead Village I believe.  I'd just stop somewhere in Denver on the way out of town.  If you're flying int to Denver that is.
Yeah, if you're stopping on the way up, Applejack is where you stop.

Sanderson.  Start with the Mistborn triology or Stormlight Archive.   FYI when Jordan died, Sanderson was picked to write the final 3 WoT books if you don't recognize the name.

Have read them all.  That's why I read WOT.

  4. if it wasn’t jenkins I guess it had to be rainwater?  and what are the beck brothers up to?
Has to be. And the plane took off from the res, hence no flight plans filed anywhere.
  5. Yeah, S Florida, ride a bike 10 miles during the day and you'll be dead well before the dysentery gets you.

As for the totally normal exotic car behavior, every Honda, Toyota, Nissan, GM, Ford,...etc can handle driving less than 10 miles at a time (not 10 miles total per day, 10+ miles per trip), you'd think a "nice" car could deal with excess parasitic loss or maybe, ya know, add a reasonable sized alternator, but I get it, performance optimization.  There is one little problem though,  I don't consider an x5 exotic in any way.  It's laughable to give BMW a pass by calling it exotic, let's call it what it is, a design limitation, not abuse.

Yeah, my Audi doesn't have problems with most of my trips being less than 10 miles. This is not the first time BMW has had this problem. When they first introduced the TT V8 engine several years ago, they ate through batteries at a rate of around a battery a year.

It’s not like the underwriter wants to see your new and old comp plans to compare salary v monthly commission v annual bonus/commission.

Were I an underwriter, I’d be more interested in your tax returns than your paychecks if commission is the majority of your income, as I’d assume you would be motivated to be making as much or more in your new job.

A lot of things underwriters look at make no sense.  They would rather give a loan to someone with no savings and a $10k per month gross income than someone with no W-2 income but $1 million in liquid assets.

I'm totally fine with a mid-engine Vette, so long as it has a SBC. Musta been some engineering magic getting that monster to stay cool.

And a twin-clutch transmission. This car is gonna be a winner (and very expensive.)

Chevy can't properly cool the front engine Corvettes.  You think this one will be any different?

  8. Point me toward a good $20 - $30 red that’s not Zinfandel, please.
I like Napa Cabs. I do not like $80+ per bottle often.

Pessimist is decent. 23 or so. Prisoner is good as well for 36 or so.

He's a newfie.  He'll eat anything and everything.

My 2 are growing increasingly picky.  They want people food, not dog food.  So we have to mix it up occasionally to keep them interested.

  10. Probably going with a 550i. Nice discount off the M and plenty fast. I still have young kids, so I'll save the M/Porsche life for when they are in college. I got called out for 73 in a 70 today.

550 can still get you in plenty of trouble. And you're invisible, which is nice.
  11. Saw that whole chicken fingers are all they'll eat with several of the neighborhood families.  Fuck that, our kids ate what we ate. We made them try different food from an early age.  It cost us more at restaurants, But we never had any of that picky eater shit.
The night our 9 yr old son asked the waiter to bring an order of Calamari for the table, and was their beef Angus we knew we'd created a monster.
Yeah, my 2 always want sushi for their birthdays. I have to order some rolls first because they will eat all the nigiri in about 2 minutes.
