  1. Apparently flying to honolulu. I assume an MD-11 is at max fuel capacity to make that hop.
  2. Dick Cheney dead at 84. Iraq war and the global war are terror are his legacy. Hell of a way to make your mark on history.
  3. Did they waive the tax stamp fee? I am holding off on can purchases until Jan 1.
  4. Google says it wasn't a hallucination.
  5. I want to say they had boudin stuffed ones on time, but I may have picked those up somewhere else.
  6. Yes they are very good and super easy.
  7. Right, I was going to say 3. There is no neck thickening and no brisket. That will be a monster in a couple years.
  8. ~2.5lb chuck roast, cubed to a range of sizes, and threw is some pork cubes as well.
  9. Any takes on the filings from today. Particularly the exhibits. https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/71459120/united-states-v-comey/?filed_after=&filed_before=&entry_gte=&entry_lte=&order_by=desc
  10. CALEA's purpose is to enhance the ability of law enforcement agencies to conduct lawful interception of communication by requiring that telecommunications carriers and manufacturers of telecommunications equipment modify and design their equipment, facilities, and services to ensure that they have built-in capabilities for targeted surveillance, allowing federal agencies to selectively wiretap any telephone traffic; it has since been extended to cover broadband Internet and VoIP traffic. Some government agencies argue that it covers mass surveillance of communications rather than just tapping specific lines and that not all CALEA-based access requires a warrant. Journalists and technologists have characterised the CALEA-mandated infrastructure as government backdoors.[1][2] In 2024, the U.S. government realized that China had been tapping communications in the U.S. using that infrastructure for months, or perhaps longer.[3]
  11. Had a good look at my intended target on saturday morning, but took my time and he took a curl around a grove of trees and I didn't get another good look that I was comfortable taking. Had another look on Sunday morning but again didn't get a shot I was comfortable taking. I am in not hurry, and like CleverNickname, I don't like breaking down a deer after sunset. I don't have the set up for that. If I am going to drop it at the processor, or if the weather is cool enough, I might take a late evening shot. But otherwise, I am happy watching the wildlife if the factors are not falling into line. Now I am itching to cancel meetings this week and get a hunt in mid-week, but that looks like a miss too.
  12. Jesus Christo. That doesn't ever look to have many years on it, but that rack is amazing.
  13. Pardon me sir, but have you seen the price of beef lately? Fn $7.59 lb for a chuck roast at HEB. That use to be choice new york strip prices not too long ago. May be the first year that I actually try to fill out all my deer tags.
  14. I like the way this one turned out. Great flavor, subbed the pasilla for the guajillo, but absolutely zero heat. Maybe just a little late tingle on the tongue, but I got to squint for it. Which is fine for this crowd, will have some different heat chili sauces to kick things up if requested.
