  1. Help me out. I almost never use credit cards bc I like being completely debt free without having to think too much about it. However I realize I need to grow up and get a card with all these perks, miles, etc. it would really help me travel more bc I'm also a cheap bastard. My goal is airline miles, not hotel rewards I prefer Airbnb's and shun resorts. My preferred travel destinations are usually domestic but really thinking about a trip to Japan and or Hawaii to see family. I'm fairly high income with great credit. Current cards that are never used are a British Airways card (miles used up and need to cancel) and Amex blue cash back. what do you recommend? i should add that my BA card is serviced by chase.
  2. Can he better than a perennially injured, brainwashed by his uncle don king Leonard, sensitive about shoe sales and endorsements for someone who never speaks b*ass?
  3. If they can't get decent value for him, they won't trade him. He has to play next season, and he will have to do so for the Spurs. A lot can happen and the Spurs can hope to change his mind or can trade him near the deadline for some good value to a team making a run.
  4. I'm so disgusted with Kawhi. Seems like he is killing the magic of the Spurs forever.
  5. i'm going to dream tonight that we trade him straight up for KD.
  6. so depressed. what does he think he's going to accomplish by spurning (pun intended) the spurs? go to the clippers, get endorsements, and never win shit? is it all about the money now? maybe this injury totally spooked him and he feels like he has to make as much dough as possible for uncle douchebag, but come on! this type of attitude is not what made him a badass force in the league. i expect his career is basically toast bc his leg is toast. anyway, come on RC, work your magic.
  7. Fine I'll join in. i never watched Lost bc it sounded stupid to me and very much in the same vein as 24; every episode is a cliffhanger that is not really a cliffhanger and nothing really ever happens.
  8. I find her incredible. She's got small town good looks, a wild side, and she looks out for her man. What else could a guy want?
  9. Maybe you guys are LOST, but this is the BCS thread.

  11. He's not even the best defensive player in his team (iguodala), on the floor tonight (Lebron), or the league (Kawhi).
  12. You got me. I'm sure having KD, Curry, Thompson, etc. doesn't help pad those stats. He's Ibaka in his prime.
  13. He's not an amazing player. He would be above average on any other team.
  14. I'll give the warriors this. They are a douchy super team, but their basketball IQ is off the charts.
  15. Warriors might sweep them, but all anyone will talk about is Lebron and how badass he is. Dude almost single handedly beat the warrior super team. And yes, I realize the irony of lebron being beat by a super team. If I'm Lebron, my trash talk starts and stops with "let's go 1 on 1." Not a man in this world that could take him. This all coming from a die hard Spurs fan.
  16. Boomers embraced peace and love because they didn't want to go to Vietnam, and wanted to smoke drugs and bang.
  17. I kind of want to hear these tapes...
  18. Forgot hill country ranch with hills and creeks
  19. Single engine turbo prop new boat(S) vacation home for my extended family to use new house but nothing crazy
  20. Always a great day. im trying to think now how I'm going to convince my wife that trading my '17 GMC for a '19 GMC is a good idea. Come on EPA MPG!
  21. I'll pay for private school before I let one of my kids go aggy.
  22. Forgot to point that out. That's why we went to Fort Davis instead. also Star Party was a bit of a letdown because of weather (cloudy) but they still made it fun and interesting, and we still got to look through the telescopes at what was visible (mostly just Jupiter and Venus).
  23. Just got back. Thanks to everyone that provided recommendations because I totally used them and have surly the credit. Here's a recap: shared a house using airbnb with some friends (pink adobe) planet marfa for happy hour was awesome. Super friendly staff and a great beer garden atmosphere. Capri for dinner. Had a fantastic meal and an awesome Mezcal based old fashion. Once again, amazing service. Chinati foundation was a little disappointing. Really liked the metal junk welds at the warehouse in downtown though. foodshark was great but slow as hell. walked around downtown and the square and popped into a random free andy Warhol exhibit Big Bend was badass. We got in one long hike partly up a mountain (shade!) and then drove down near boquillas for a short hike to see the river and canyon (104 degrees!). Went to the basin for a cold beer then headed to terlingua star light theater for dinner. That was a huge hit. Once again, phenomenal service. The locals were just getting plowed outside and playing songs, which made it feel like it was still an old west mining town. Prada seemed unnecessarily far from town. Fort Davis was a pretty boring fort but cool history in their little museum. St George pool is free and open to the public after 4pm, and they have a bar! That was a great spot for a dip. Marfa Burrito was legit but didn't hold a candle to Alicia's in Alpine where I stopped for lunch on the way back home. Big thank you for that recommendation. Note- they only take CASH. Same for food shark.
