  1. It was assisted by blatant holding on each 3rd down conversion, all uncalled. The worst was on the wide receiver on 3rd and 10.
  2. Whew, I’m at least in testing. Probably will be at Acceptance by next week. Still doesn’t make me less angry.
  3. Agree with all of this, and the more I think about it, the angrier I get. For a supposedly MENSA guy, Herman has shown none of the mental flexibility to creatively address problems. Rather, he seems more and more a classic, closed-minded, set-in-his-ways, circle the wagons coach who builds an insular culture and don't react to the outside. What's the point of bringing in all these so-called consulting head coaches if he's just going to trot out the same arrogant, simple-minded, unreactive schemes and gameplans?
  4. How did Baylor avoid any punishment from the NCAA for a criminal rape culture and coverup? Programs used to get beat down just for giving kids jobs.
  5. Well, first couple of years had to be devoted to upgrading personnel.
  6. Devastating criticisms of TH and staff. Does the coach have the wherewithal to make changes?
  7. Tackling and pursuit was an embarrassment. Where are the fundamentals? We were lucky not to lose by 21.
  8. Agree with this summation. Structural issues in coaching and scheme need to get fixed.
  9. Since the 2nd half of W Virginia. Something collapsed.
  10. Feel like we’re not getting a ton of pressure on passing downs without blitzing.
  11. Calling the redshirt, and sounds quite certain. Does he really need to work on pass blocking that badly?
  12. If he's not healthy, risks getting re-injured every other game, and is regressing rather than getting better, seems like it's better for his own prospects and the team's to give his body the time it needs.
  13. Is it a ridiculous idea to redshirt Sterns this season and let him get fully healthy/Yancied for a dominant season next year?
  14. Or they're impatient and enter the portal.
  15. Scipio on OSU: Caden Sterns went down late with what looks like a major injury and led the team in tackles with 12. His ability to range free from the Cover 2 shell plays to his strengths, but in this game tackling was decidedly not one of them. He blew three tackles on Sanders where he took bad angles, didn't acknowledge inside help and shoe dived. I think he wore down. It's possible he never fully recovered from his injuries that plagued him right up to Fall camp. This is the playing freshman early paradox I've written about. They show talent and ability, but a lack of physical preparation for the rigors of the game and a lack of "armor" virtually guarantee injuries that can lead to more down the road.
  16. Yeah, there's something about the lead-guarding mindset that's self-destructive. Even when the Line is dominating and we're averaging 5 ypc, those fourth quarter drives where they're not really trying to score just seem to fizzle. Happens to so many teams. And all of a sudden a three-and-out and suddenly the opponent has momentum.
  17. So Nahlin suggest LVBS is a slot. Is he or isn't he? And, if he is, who would be the preferred slot--Dixon or LVBS?
  18. Weird quirk of Herman's. He's more than willing to do somewhat offensive things like making fun of Missouri's Drew Locke on the sidelines. But he won't run up the score, even when offensive reps are probably a good thing.
  19. Good observations. Actually, OSU did a better job open field tackling than we did. YPC could have been higher if they hadn’t done a pretty good job of bringing our runners down after they breached the LOS.
  20. Dixon has to be impressed that Duvernay is averaging like 8 catches a game.
