  1. It's not the family that runs my church's fault that rape and sexual assault keep getting covered up, and child porn keeps showing up in the hands of people we entrust our children to...it's just random! Right. Here's the bottom fucking line: child predators go to the place where children are, and where they have the best chances to use power and influence to shame children into silence. That environment is compounded when, say, an institution like the SBC or Catholic Church and high level church administration have a vested interest in covering up said crimes. Which makes it INCUMBENT on a institution that claims to give a fuck about children, and which makes fucking massive piles of tax free revenue every year, to conduct proper background checks and pay the money to hire actual employees, or truly research into the references of volunteers, and make sure they get this shit fucking right. Any when they don't, over decades, it's a systemic failure. One might argue it's a conscious choice. Where does the buck stop at Second Baptist after repeated controversies?
  2. By Gawd, that's @jkates's church!! It's so weird this keeps happening on Ed Young or his children's watch.
  3. So just to be clear, after a solar flare knocks us back into prehistoric ages, with no technology, and no electricity, SILVER is going to be THE commodity, right? Do I have that right? Nevermind that it's main value at this point exists as only a valuable metal used in technology, and as a hedge against paper markets...both of which will cease to exist with a massive solar flare. Do I have that about right? I mean I suppose it could make less sense. I suppose he could be stanning that crypto is the only thing that will retain value in a post-electricity world.
  4. Black and Brown is a crime, bruh.
  5. "stay in the fight." I love that turn of phrase considering the folks in question, whether running drugs or not, were literally unaware of incoming ordinance, or that they were in any kind of fight. At all.
  6. You're overthinking this. The guy just needs to say something just plausible enough for Rs in congress to say "well, he's the expert" and rubber stamp his testimony.
  7. What beans do you think that nutjob has on the queen of the grift?
  8. That's mental illness.
  9. Coward.
  10. You realize most of the naysayers and deniers are actually all vaccinated with measles, whooping cough, and a dozen other deadly vaccines because it was pretty much mandatory when they were children, right? The ones who are going to suffer are their children.
  11. It like to see this supported with more than just another guy talking about this story.
  12. Listen, part of the fun of being on the internet is drive-by potshots and roasting other posters, and generally being an asshole. But that shit is far beyond the pale for acceptable behavior and you can go fuck yourself violently with cactus infused with ebola. Get fucked. I hope your wife enthusiastically fucks Geoff Ketchum while he's on the toilet, taking a shit, after he's spent the day at Arby's.
  13. Yeah, that's what I was referencing by the "last fiasco." Discharge petitions don't fix the leadership issue, and ineptitude, which is what Stefanik claims she wants to fix. If it's really a problem then call a vote.
  14. First, didn't the republicans underperform at the midway point of Trump's first term? And then again in the actual election? Second, then why don't they fucking call for a vote? Did they slip in some rule saying they couldn't after the last fucking fiasco?
  15. You think blatant lies count as satire? Look guys, satire!:
