I mean, you realize atheism is a belief system, while anarchism is a political philosophy, right? Apples Oranges. I think he's yours (ours) unless maybe the Zoroastrian table will take him.
-
Now he's getting into green energy? I'm sure his followers would love that if they knew how to read.

I don't think the Strong On Border Security squad is going to be pointing out migrant caravans this time. I think they'll need to find something else Biden could be responsible for... Trump is an atheist.

Well, I guess you've never watched a Peter Zeihan video on youtube. Every third one relates to various demographic catastrophes happening around the world, but particularly in Russia and China. Long story short, there's almost nowhere in the world where births and birth rates AREN'T declining. It's not a US problem, is a worldwide problem. Now there's plenty of reasons. As many posters here have pointed out, there's a very large trend with the young here in the US where they don't feel they can afford a family, what with the housing costs, the cost of living, and the cost of health insurance, unsteady job market, etc. This is also reflected dual income households...both parents need to work. This has existed for awhile. Another relevant point is that...we're not an agrarian culture anymore. Families aren't having kids anymore because they don't need free labor. Then you've got the social ineptitude/disinterest things you're starting to see here in America, and which has exited in Japan for awhile. Kids don't want to fuck. There's dozens of different reasons, and they're somewhat different in each country. But The last thing I read is that while America is in decline for births and birth rates, we're actually one of the countries declining the least rapidly compared to much of the rest of the world. Another interesting point is that, demographically, it also makes sense for America to increase immigration to combat this issue. Of course, we don't have any jobs or manufacturing to support that, but it's a thing to consider. https://ourworldindata.org/fertility-rate

You’re anti forced sterilization? You know one might argue letting 600k die in one of the most long and painful ways possible is a form of sterilization.

Not sure how I read your post twice before responding and still read insult as injury. But I can’t agree. I do not believe 100% of the parents of camp mystic will be sending their other children back there. I’d be willing to wager the percentage is well under 50/50. Brands can be injured, despite the backfire effect.

Like a Frog in boiling water? Except what dies isn't the brand, it's just democracy. You know, the economic status quo has been getting worse in Russia/The USSR/Russian Federation for like...75 years. How's that working out for them and their brand? I also reject your list of 3 things that can damage brand loyalty out of hand. But I'll play along. We'll go ahead and assign, for the purposes of this conversation, that removing a bunch of poor people's health care in red states, people who often don't even have any concept that their health is coming from the ACA and government subsidies, as Injury. As you said, injury can damage a brand. And here I am, cheering for maximum Injury. You're choosing for less Injury in favor of...I guess we'll call laughing at Mike Johnson Incoherence, I guess?

That's not how it works right now because no one, in great numbers, has truly had to face the reality of their decisions and see a real, hard impact on their day to day lives. It's all noise that they can choose to turn out and stay in their safe little tribal silos. A fractured party MIGHT struggle some with messaging, but messaging doesn't fucking matter nearly as much if the people can take the baseline and tune shit out, and if nothing really changes. You want to shake things up and make people question their brand loyalty? Well, for starters, you've got to really change their day to day status quo for the worse. That's usually the pocketbook.

He have a dog? Framed Picture of Trump and Epstein? And whatever card you get should be a printout of Trump's birthday card to Epstein.

That's a great post, but in no way responds to anything I said. Great, the Republican caucus continues to fracture. Oh no, Mike Johnson gets embarrassed. That in no way continues the discussion for the questions I posed you, which is a situation where many Americans are given license to stick their heads back into the ground and not look at how fucked things are currently, because they're given just enough to allow them not to face reality. In this instance, a fractured Republican helps people remain ignorant, and allows people to keep from having to challenge their own reality and thinking. Your end game may be to enjoy the lolz at Mike Johnson's expense, but that's sort of secondary to me after "preserving democracy." I'm pretty sure a gay male is unelectable, at least to the highest office.

"Traditional European texts, like the New Testament." Who wants to tell him?
-
In a sane world, sure. But these days, everything that isn't in my day to day sphere of influence should be considered political calculus, because we don't have the luxury to think otherwise. Because if we don't think that way, we won't have the ability to do any calculus.

I assume this what you imagine is going to happen: Extension vote squeaks by, everyone put their name on their stance, maybe it dies in the senate. If it doesn't, president vetoes it. It goes back to the house where it won't gain any required super-majorities to bypass Trump, and it does with everyone's signatures on their positions. Because if this somehow becomes law, the only thing Jefferies has done is help Republicans get elected at the mid-terms.
