  1. Lost #1 first set tie breaker but won #2 first set tie breaker. Weather is good. Tight matches.
  2. Just won first sets in #3 and #4 singles and Spirizzi up 6-5
  3. I’m at the match. Doubles was intense but awesome to pull through with the point. Radar not looking great so they cleared the stands. Big rain now. Gonna be a decent delay unfortunately. Texas has a good crowd making noise plus the girls team obviously there cheering on the squad.
  4. EDC weekend is so awesome. Had a friend do the helicopter and said it was pretty cool.
  5. I posted the whole schedule on post # 4196 if you scroll up
  6. I just did Spago at Bellagio on a Friday night and the food was great and has a decent scene but obviously toned down from STK. Would recommend if the menu suits you.
  7. Still seems a long ways off but no dates given yet. They have to pass some funding bill and then construction wouldn’t begin for 1-2 years and then take a few years. Maybe 2027? I’ve been for just about every occasion and Halloween is near the top as the most fun in Vegas.
  8. I appreciate the heads up on the vegan restaurant. It’s not for me but good to know of that option in case I ever get asked about it.
  9. F1 paving pic (tweet may or may not be loading properly)
  10. Bellagio is one of my preferred places to play. If for some reason you actually wanted to play a $1/3 game and buy in for $500 . . . try the Wynn. Sooner gave some great advice above. Another pro tip, download the BravoPoker app and use it to check out game activity and waitlists.
  11. U2 info: LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Dates and ticketing information was announced Monday for U2′s highly-anticipated series of shows at the MSG Sphere in Las Vegas. 12. (Long article, more in the link below): Last October, the Watauga Social Lounge Poker Club in Watauga, Texas – which is situated between Fort Worth and Dallas – was raided by police during Day 2 of one of their bigger tournaments. Dozens of staff members were arrested, approximately $150K-$200K in equipment, $205,000 in cash was seized, and 49 players were fined $360 each. Three of those players took a plea deal back in December, but since then, the other players have been awaiting their day in court. However, before they got it, they received some good news that their charges and fines were being dismissed. One of the players, Daryl Gresham, shared an image of the official dismissal, which read: “On this 18th day of April 2023, Daryl J. Gresham is the defendant in the above styled and numbered cause having been charged with the offense of Gambling – Cards, Dice, Balls, is hereby dismissed for the following reason: “Motion to Dismissed by D.A. – Interest of Justice.” PokerNews was able to confirm that other players were receiving similar dismissals. Unfortunately for the three players who accepted the plea deal late last year, their cases stand. While it was good news for Gresham, he also shared his discontent with the entire situation. “First part of the injustice has now been dropped for all 46 of 49 who wanted their/our day in court,” Gresham wrote. “Now let’s go get our 205k the TCSO robbed from us at gunpoint, cameras cut, etc… Each and every one of the 19 raiders that day knew why they were there and what was at stake and knew they were doing wrong! Some thought that they were being set up and year you were right by your own dept and DA… This isn’t over til you return our money and justice is served!!!! I’m still disgusted at the authorities that this was ok in your offices!!!! Remember to serve and protect, not to rob the people at gunpoint!” https://www.pokernews.com/news/2023/04/watauga-social-lounge-poker-club-texas-raid-43410.htm
  13. Similar idea as above, on my most recent trip we ate at Spago at the Bellagio and you can try to get a table outside with a view of the water show. It’s not a steakhouse but I had a Wagyu ribeye and the yellowtail sashimi appetizer, both were excellent. Also recommend the chocolate soufflé. Would be a nice option for a special dinner. Somehow we were seated next to one of the Maloof brothers who was cursing up a storm on his phone about his limo driver? It was sorta funny and all the waiters acted quite excited to see him.
  14. New Jose Andres spot coming to Forum Shops at Caesars. Called Zaytinya. Locations in NYC and DC. an innovative mezze menu inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisines, built on Jose Andres’ deep knowledge of Mediterranean cooking and years of research and travel.
  15. Hines, the international real estate firm, along with partners Mitsui Fudosan America and McNair Interests, announce 100% of Maple Terrace’s restaurant space is officially leased and will welcome Doce Mesas as the second dining concept at Maple Terrace, joining previously announced CATCH Dallas. Doce Mesas will take all 2,600 SF in the 2nd freestanding restaurant building at the project and is slated to open in Q2 2024. The more than 15,000 square feet of Maple Avenue-facing restaurant space occupied by CATCH Dallas and Doce Mesas will serve as the gateway to Maple Terrace’s restored 1925 nine-story structure, which acts as the centerpiece of the mixed-use development. “We are excited to have completed the leasing of the Maple Terrace restaurant space and look forward to bringing the Doce Mesas atmosphere that so many already know and love to the development with CATCH Dallas,” said Ben Brewer, senior managing director of Hines. “Doce Mesas not only offers an excellent menu to Uptown tenants, residents and visitors, but also creates an opportunity to take in and enjoy the landmark Maple Terrace building and its surrounding area from the outdoor patio.” Michael “Mico” Rodriguez, founder of Doce Mesas, added: “The Maple Terrace project is historic, chic, and cosmopolitan. In short, it’s everything we would like to be a part of – it’s a dream come true!” Doce Mesas at Maple Terrace will be the third restaurant in the Doce Mesas brand and the first to serve breakfast in addition to its usual lunch and dinner menu. The restaurant follows the concept’s recent opening at The Hill on North Central Expressway and Walnut Hill Lane in 2022 and the opening of the original on McKinney Avenue near Knox Street in 2018. The California coastal-inspired Tex-Mex restaurant will offer indoor seating, as well as a large patio for al fresco dining. Dynamic menu offerings include a fresh take on familiar Tex-Mex dishes with a curated drink menu, a collection of wines, imported beers, fresh juices and its iconic frozen margaritas. The new breakfast menu will also feature a daily smoothie, fresh squeezed juices, small bites such as Mexican pastries and avocado toast and classic Tex-Mex breakfasts such as chilaquiles, huevos Mexicanos, a breakfast burrito and breakfast tacos. https://cravedfw.com/2023/04/03/doce-mesas-signs-on-to-build-in-maple-terrace/

  19. Stanton Social Prime will soon open its doors at Caesars Palace. Tao Group Hospitality and Chef Chris Santos continue to redefine the dining scene as Stanton Social Prime officially debuts on Tuesday, March 21. Reservations for the restaurant and lounge may be booked online. Stanton Social Prime brings Chef Santos’ signature sharable dishes to the center-Strip resort, with the return of the Famous French Onion Soup Dumplings topped with Gruyère cheese and garlic croutons, as well as Pierogies made with potato, goat cheese and truffle. New creations include the Smoked Butter Board with Thumbelina crudités, Maldon sea salt flakes and sourdough demi baguette and the ‘Al Pastor’ Yellowtail Crudo, which features grilled pineapple, cilantro, lime and pineapple ponzu. “We have carefully curated dynamic offerings to bring an exciting, new energy to Caesars Palace," said Terrence O’Donnell, Vice President and Assistant General Manager of Caesars Palace. “The addition of Stanton Social Prime gives our guests an incredible dining experience while perfectly complementing the recent changes at the resort." Stanton Social Prime’s steaks are a highlight of the menu, seasoned with house dry rub, rested in a bath of Beurre de Baratte, finished with pink Himalayan salt and served with roasted black garlic. The restaurant offers a large selection of prime dry-aged steaks for the table, including ‘Pretty in Pink,’ a 10-ounce filet with pink peppercorn sauce, pink oyster mushrooms, and decadent sides such as the Dirty Tots with caviar and lobster crème fraîche. Guests can choose from a selection of sauces in vintage perfume bottles to drizzle onto their steaks, like the Eau de Poivre and Chanterelle No. 5. True to the showmanship of Las Vegas, Stanton Social Prime also features theatrical tableside presentations, delectable desserts and charming craft cocktails. Those looking for a unique cocktail served in a bottle can try The Black Regiment, made with Bulleit rye whiskey, Carpano Antica vermouth, Amaro Montenegro liqueur and cinnamon. A signature zero-proof beverage is Strawberry Rhode created with Kin Euphorics High Rhode, strawberry puree, elderflower and lemon juice. “We are thrilled to bring another Tao Group Hospitality concept from Chef Santos to Las Vegas," said Ralph Scamardella, Chief Culinary Officer of Tao Group Hospitality. "The Las Vegas iteration of the Stanton Social in New York City will delight diners with shareable staples complemented by new offerings." Designed by renowned architecture and design firm Rockwell Group, the 200-seat space draws inspiration from the original restaurant on New York’s Lower East Side and the Las Vegas Strip, with a modern nod to Art Deco style and dramatic showmanship. Guests enter Stanton Social Prime through the velvet curtain to the main dining room featuring bold colors of ruby red, sapphire blue and gold with rich textures and patterns found in extravagant costume design. The 10-seat bar spotlights top-shelf spirits and a globe-spanning wine list. Additionally, the two private dining rooms transport guests to their own backstage salon with decorative paneling evocative of a dressing room screen. Adjacent to OMNIA Nightclub, Stanton Social Prime will be open Sunday, Monday and Wednesday from 5 to 10:30 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday from 5 to 11:30 p.m. Guests can visit caesars.com/caesars-palace/restaurants/stanton-social-prime for more information.
