So his hospital and physicians are insisting on following standard of care despite his family and lawyers demands to the contrary?  Lol.  As a physician I fully support Mr. Wood’s advice that anti-vaxers, science deniers, and those who want to “speak to the manager” about deviating from standard of care should definitely avoid the ‘medical prisons’,  stay home, and exercise their medical freedom.

I read on a blog that one of his friends told the reporter that none of what Wood said is true (although stutts is doing worse and is on vent). He also called wood “disgusting”. I wonder if that’s why he went to the trouble of posting he was voluntarily going on vent bc he knew Wood was going to pull some shit like this

Apparently this was one of the early Ivermectin blurbs.   May of this year?   I had wondered how this got started.  It was probably posted here, but i missed it.  I wouldn't doubt that Wood is talking about a treatment like this or bleach or something.   Probably figuring there's a malpractice case if the guy dies and they didn't give him Ivermectin or hydrochloroquinine, or bleach, or lysol, or stick a candle up his ass or something.  When they do listen to science, it's always bogus science.

    Link to study

This is intriguing. I only read the abstract.  Meta-analyses are only as good as the studies they include but can take several level 2 and 3 studies and compile level 1 data. I don’t have time to dig in to the included studies maybe @Anastasis can.

I find it funny that a group of people so rightfully critical of others’ use of language that is homophobic / transphobic / pokes fun at mentally handicapped people - that group freely pokes fun at Abbott’s handicap. These jokes never have been and aren’t funny.

    Fuck that piece of shit

It's an investigator initiated trial.  Trials like these are what spawned the HCQ madness last year due to bias, the loudest of whom was that nutter French dude.  Not saying that will be the case here, but this is always a factor in these kinds of studies.

It’s prospective randomized blinded and placebo controlled if it shows benefit it is very unlikely to be due to error

50%-1 want Newsom, he gets recalled. The vote is then a plurality vote for the replacement, none of which might get anywhere near 50-1.

Unless my math is wrong in that situation a majority would not want Newsom as gov

Well the $9.95 crowd tells me Becton has revolutionized S&C and everyone's in the best shape of their life, so I wouldn't worry about that.

If you can tell me how many new S&C coaches we’ve had since 88 I’ll tell you how many times I’ve heard this quote during fall camp

Note that Newsom could be the preferred choice of the largest portion of voters and still lose.

Can you walk us through this ?

looks to me like a vote against recall is a vote for newsom so the only way Newsome can lose is if a majority are for recalling him no?

Just like your assertion that covid is dangerous for children. You're exactly like the guy you're arguing with.

I never neg in cloak room but seriously go fuck yourself. There are no pediatric ICU beds in north Texas right now. When my son was 3 he damn near died and had to be airlifted to the trauma center. If (when) that happens today or tomorrow to a child they likely die. And it’s because of pediatric covid cases

When physicians have to self-censor their medical opinion out of fear of backlash that is pushback. Not long ago if you had the medical opinion the virus was created in lab your reputation & career could possibly be on the line.

If it’s moronic opinion and they don’t want to self censor they deserve all the derision cast upon them.

And anyone saying this virus was “made” in a lab is completely speculating. The genome is fully sequenced. And there are no telltale signs of genes being spliced in. The changes that make it novel have the appearance of random mutations, and unless they are using super secret technology that is the stuff of science fiction

A lot of people postulated it came from improper handling of an isolate of a naturally occurring virus and I can’t recall that opinion being shouted down
