Na, I think a bunch of AA trips for crews now are what’s called out and backs. At least for the DFW types that means they leave DFW, fly to somewhere and come right back that day. I believe these trips go pretty senior as well.

Long time lurker here. Decided as a true Astros fan its finally time to become a poster. Over the years I've truly enjoined all of your terrible opinions and melt downs when we sucks.
Couple things about me:
1) Hate Myles Straw
2) 1 time share2care winner
3) Jose Altuve is the best Astros of all time.
4) If you leave the Stros you're dead to me. Screw you Springier.
Your take number 4 is really not nice. -
Yea, I think he’s certainly eligible. Unless the Astros know something we don’t, he gets on the 40 this year.

Seriously considering calling myself female so I can start wrestling hot college chicks.
I’ll take a wag and say 99.9% of female college wrestlers ain’t exactly “hot.”- 1

Good actor. RIP. I wish he had in more shows/films. Hollywood seems determined to keep rolling Chazz Palminteri out there for every mob role not directed by Scorsese.
And the problem is? -

Meanwhile in San Diego, Devo is on for the save for the DBacks.
And looked pretty good getting the save (minus Tatis taking him deep.) Good for Devo, always liked his act. -
Been Keto for almost 3 years. In short you need to almost eliminate carbs to get yourself into Ketosis (3-5 days.) Then you can ease the carbs back in to about 30-50 carbs/day (depending on your weight.) After that it’s pretty much cruise control. Lost 20-25 pounds in the first 3 months, stayed there ever since.
The thing I love about Keto is that it’s easy to stay on it and you need to get off it occasionally. (Like every other month or so I take the week off, usually around a holiday.) This is purportedly to let your liver know you will still give it carbs. (Otherwise your liver will actually start producing glucose on its own.) I gorge on my fav carbs during the time off and am totally ready for Keto after the fun. Somehow I gain very little weight during the Keto vacations.
Get blood work every 6 months and all my numbers remain good to better. No problem with booze especially in moderation. I seem to fart less and burp more in ketosis. This is probably good. -
Interesting.
1 more good bullpen arm and 2 OF plus a backup catcher. That’s what we need to finish out the offseason imo.
good move.
Acquiring all the bullpen arms has worked basically forever in Tampa. I would not mind if we turned into the Rays with more financial flexibility. -
Houston has one very big advantage over the Cowboys. They could fire their idiot GM.....

I was a Marine, but damn if The Outpost was not US Army greatness. Bad ass studs that deserved their real life medals. 2 Medal of Honors and 5 Silver Stars, well deserved. Just watched it for the second time(and I never watch movies twice.) Best war flick since Full Metal Jacket IMHO. Thanks for the recc.

Wait Cat, your quoting Corby on anything to do with sports?

International air travel is certainly different these days. 16 pax on my 777 DFW-CDG flight a couple of days ago. Probably the lowest I've seen since this thing started. 25 or so seems to be the average on that flight, with about half of those up front. For AA's sake I'm hoping they have plenty of cargo below.
Had to take Delta or Air France a few times when American stopped service in the spring. Those flights were pretty full.
The good news is that Europe is getting back to normal somewhat. If they have limitations on restaurant capacity, I certainly can't tell. (At least in France, Spain and Italy.) And the French are even starting to gripe about the lack of tourists (particularly Americans.) Got to admit though, it's pretty damn awesome having no problem getting an outdoor table on a beautiful day on the Champ Elysees!

I’ve had some pretty full (2/3rds or so) domestic AA flights in the past couple months. But my flights to Europe usually have 20-30 pax on board. Pretty darn ugly but I will give props to AA for trying.

Delhi Crime. Haven’t seen anything here about it, but this is a fantastic series. Based on the actual Gang rape on a bus that happened a few years ago it is as powerful as TV gets. 8.5 on IMBD and 93% on RT. You will thank me later.

Recently asked a coworker of mine, who is a Miami grad, which team he hates more, UF or FSU. To quote him, "I hate Florida more because they have a chance to play Miami every year and choose not to. They would rather schedule an FCS team over our kids."
With that being said, I'm curious. Why doesn't Florida play Miami every year? Gatorubet Loco and any other UF grads/fans please explain why.
Tell him their shitty stadium and fan base don’t exactly help their cause. You may recall that Texas and Florida have a future home and home scheduled, so it’s not we are scared of the Canes. If we are going to play an out of conference in state game every year it’s going to be against half ass U. Very little upside playing Miami annually.- 2

One of my nephews is just a few months into his service with the Marines, so this hits close to home. I hope he never has to ride in one of those death traps.
It’s an horrific accident. But these amtracks have been driving Marines around for almost 50 years. To call them death traps is being just a bit melodramatic. Most Marines were thrilled to catch a ride in a track and not have to hump those extra miles. It’s the Marine Corps, there is always going to be some risk involved.

I actually drove the LVT-7 (the earlier version of the present day amtrack) for the Jacksonville Gators during my first 2 years at Florida.
It was actually very stable in the water (albeit slow.) But there was one sure-fire way to sink one leaving the boat. If the drain plug was not in place you would drive off the boat and never come back up. I’m guessing that’s what happened here. If that is what happened we are fortunate so many survived.- 2

Wife and I started this Sunday, and are about 3 episodes in. Sucks to hear it turns to mush because the first three episodes were pretty good.
And the Redhead is absolute smoke.
(Poldark talk)
Started tonight, 4 episodes in and I’m hooked. Kind of a (slightly) lower class Downton Abbey feel.

Let’s face it. Hang ‘Em High is screwed.

https://www.mlb.com/astros/news/astros-to-pay-staff-through-october
HOUSTON -- Astros owner Jim Crane informed team employees via video conference call on Tuesday that there would be no furloughs and that club staff would continue to be paid through Oct. 31, with the highest-paid employees -- those making $100,000 or more -- taking pay cuts.
Crane simply does not make a bad move. We are truly blessed. -
My go to restaurant in Seattle (Teriyaki and Wok) is in the Capital Hill area. The owner is kind of a Milfy (and very friendly) Chinese lady who has busted her ass for years making this place great. (Yes it’s basically one chromosome above a food truck, but the food and service are great.)
I guess the point I’m trying to make is these useful idiots best not fuck it up.- 2

The First 48 has to go. A program based on diligent police work solving murders fails the current narrative.
I was thinking the same.

I’m going to disagree here. In my (probably more neutral) eyes the order is:
Cowboys……………………………………………………Texas…A&M…………….Tech…….OU….OkieSt…LSU.TCU.SMU.Baylor.Bama.Arky.Everyone else
