  1. I was at FitTeam today and was impressed with Tucker’s size. He was a rail his first spring in our system but he has really bulked up. Kind of normal to fill out with age but impressive nonetheless.

  2. WTF? Blummer is damn Astro treasure. Maybe it’s my Cali roots and I can relate to his self deprecating style. Whatever it is I find him to be hilarious and glad he’s on our side.

As a side note Kalas seemed to be over his senility that was on display his first year or so.

I’m so over this off-season. Let’s play some real baseball and kick some ass!

  3. My point is we have abject poverty in America. But you obviously got that.

And my point is the abject poverty in America (or its territory’s) ain’t shit compared to the abject poverty in much of the rest of the world.

  4. Puerto Rico is the poorest place I’ve been.  And I’ve been to Cambodia.

Sounds like you’ve missed out on most of Africa, the Middle East, heck even the Philippines.
  5. Jake is reticent to express his Longhorn fandom because he's overly sensitive about the fact that he didn't attend UT. Although he seemingly has no reservations about going all in on Tech with his wife being an alum. Which makes me wonder how she ended up there after growing up in Louisiana.

She went to Tech because she’s not real smart. But smart enough to get the heck out of Louisiana.

  6. Try JFK-TLV on El Al.
    Pure torture

Yes, a 10 hour attack on the olfactory senses. Then when relief is so close after arriving at the gate the steerage passengers believe it is their holy right to run over the folks in the front so as to escape earlier. (Or simply to fuck over the blonde gentile.)

In all honesty Air India Newark-Mumbai probably is stinkier, just less rude.

  7. Was just through the DFW one (again) on a domestic itinerary yesterday. It’s pretty solid. Chicago’s is nice as well, and Miami isn’t bad.

Agree with your assessment on those particular Flagship lounges. The best deal is the unlimited and extensive booze selection.

My question to you is, how do you get access to Flagship Lounges on a domestic itinerary? I thought it was only for Biz/First Class international flight passengers?
  8. I'm getting an Apocalypse Now kinda vibe. Maybe even some Return of the Jedi.
"I know there is still some good in him."

Just saw it on long flight. A really bad Apocalypse Now vibe is what I got. Really wasn’t sure who I wanted to cheer for. Pitts been great in a bunch of films, but this was not one of them.
  9. As a monthly INTL AA passenger I have to second the motion that its all about the F/A's.  The normal service is polite yet not intrusive.  The outliers are the extremely helpful/friendly attendants or the surly former SS guards who really don't GAF.  I had the latter yesterday on my MIA-MAD flight in biz/first.  Really annoying when thousands are spent on a one way ticket for seriously horrid service.  And the Flagship lounges are good for one thing, a pretty good and unlimited booze selection.

This aint getting enough whatever.  I mean Sparky? The guy is loved by the players.  KInda signifies our off season thus far.  I love you Sparky.....

  11. Let’s remember the Cardinals Director of Scouting was sent to Federal prison for 4 years after his conviction for cyber crimes against the Astros. The Cardinals lost 2 draft picks and 2 million dollars. The Astros probably ain’t getting punished much worse.
