  1. Generally not a fan. They became a business partner recently and I spent a week at their HQ for meetings. They have a McCafe on the 3rd floor and it's a damn free for all, including Krispy Kremes. In addition every morning in the meeting room they would pass the phone around for everyone to order what they wanted, big breakfasts on down. I didn't partake but I was pretty fucking jealous watching my co workers house sausage biscuits with eggs and McGriddles and damn if the first thing I didn't do once I got home was go pick up some McDonald's breakfast.

Also got a pretty cool tour of their archives. PXL_20250321_155302845.thumb.jpg.2f31dc92e5f2963b8b00a5988af29db6.jpgPXL_20250321_153517098.thumb.jpg.a3933c84dd145e0667b5800888d70c7d.jpgPXL_20250321_155515289.thumb.jpg.06da8caeeab00a81c963e8becc689c1d.jpg

  2. I do. First you have to kind of online stalk someone, find out who they are, where they work, address, etc. Then you start stealing their mail occasionally, so you can see what kind of financial situation they are in. Are they getting credit card offers, loan consolidation offers, etc. I'll PM you next steps, don't want to completely give away the goods publicly.

I’m out on the show.  I loved season 1.  This season was trash.  The final episode didn’t even have a single infected in the storyline.  Not even going to bother watching season 3… who the fuck cares about Abby.  More Joel and more infected is what this season needed.

I'm not going to stop watching it. I enjoyed a lot of this season, but did not like the finale at all and don't like the direction things are heading, and that is before I found out the first 3 episodes of S3 are going to be from Abby's perspective.

This show is clearly not following a typical roadmap and following the video game and it's cool and interesting to do things in an unorthodox style every once in awhile. We don't need to have a straightforward linear plot with clear protagonists and antagonists. That said I really am starting to feel a bit lost with the way Ellie has been portrayed and the interjecting of other random characters who within two episodes of being introduced are now making you wonder if they are the new main character.

I'm a child of the 80s so I definitely skew to the side of having a plot arc of good vs bad and good wins but at this point I would love to see the series end in this fashion.

Ellie stops acting like a dumbass 10 year old and bosses up. She kills Abby or doesn't, I don't really care. The WLFs and the Scars kill each other I don't care. Dina dies or doesn't, I don't care. Dina's baby carries immunity/the cure. Ellie and Tommy team up and kill the zombies. Party in Jackson Hole.

I do not need 3 episodes in the mind of Abby, a character who seems like she was invented halfway through this season.

Whatever, we'll see where it goes in 2042 when the next season airs and we can all complain about why Ellie aged 24 years in 17 years.

the blonde lawyer is the rat?

This is what I picked up, too. Another thing that caught my eye was at the very end in the penultimate scene it shows Colin staring towards what seems like the house as Seraphina stares out of the house. Made it seem like they were looking at each other. Another possible rat? Are we just playing one big game of Clue?

    It's definitely an interesting ride.

Do we know that from the show? Maybe that happens in the game, but they never showed how the WLF v. Scar battle played out in the season finale.  Season 3 is going to be back to Day 1 when Ellie arrives in Seattle, but from Abby’s perspective.  So I’m guessing we’ll have to wait until Season 4 to see the aftermath of the WLF/Scar battle, which will likely be in 2029.

Non gamer. I'm just making guesses based on what we saw and some of the after show stuff.

  6. She didn't kill Ellie because there wouldn't still be a show. Abby has come to command the 7 kingdoms. Isaac and the other girl are dead after they invaded the Scars, as he predicted. I'm not sure on what technically Ellie survived (and likely so did Tommy) but they did. So is your starting point for Season 3. Not great writing or directing Bob.

Posted a screen grab of the MRI results. It does not sound good. Lots going on in there.

Thanks all for the feedback. I'm sure I will push the recovery envelope like the idiot that I am.

Had the scope yesterday. By midnight I was getting around and doing stairs without crutches. Today I did the after school pickups and the stairs 3-4x. I might have done too much. It definitely hurts worse tonight than it did last night. The swelling. 😂PXL_20250522_012617404.thumb.jpg.cf37543aeacdf8b7ace9ce2a4a326197.jpg

I still cannot get over that game last night.
No dog in hunt for me (Rockets fan) but man what a crazy game

Nesmith was shooting like the rim was twenty feet around, made every three.

The game tying shot by Halliburton was the most ridiculous thing I have seen. Just crazy.

Pacers never quit and just got hot at right time. What a fun game to watch.

Yep I am thinking the same. WTF did I just watch last night? That was the craziest shot since Kawhi over Joel. What an effing game.

  9. @Prepuce of Doom to answer your question, though, no, in my experience the stream from a plug in toilet will not be as strong as the water pressure stream from a $30 model unless thestand-alones/smart toilets have some significant jet motor powered internals that the add ons do not have. I've had a few of the expensive ones, even returned one that wasn't powerful enough. I did some research and the plug in add on model with the strongest stream is the Bio Bidet 2000. It is what I currently use in my own bathroom. It has an enema mode which is quite a bit stronger than any of the other add on models I've used and I like it a lot but it is still not as powerful as the $30 water pressure model when you crank it all the way up. The warm seat and water have grown on me as have the awesome neon lights, remote and cool beeps. It has a built in fan which is nice but I find the heated blower pretty useless but maybe that's because I'm blasting my ass and taint with enema mode.

I don't necessarily know whether Harry ever intended to let Freddie live after that meeting - the bit about how he and Kevin are going to push Conrad and Maeve aside and would he like a seat at the table just seemed like a lie designed to extract maximum information. So I don't think it's clear whether Freddie's death is directly tied to the identity of the renegade.

Yeah they can definitely spin Freddie any way they choose, it was just what popped into my head at the time.

Who else knows it's me, Freddie?

    Just me and Ritchie

    (Throws him off the roof)

Probably some recall from The Departed dancing around in my brain.

  11. Yeah Conrad is definitely evolving with each episode, though maybe devolving is a better word. I guess it is intentional at this point, which is why I think our rat might be Harry himself. The obvious answer is Maeve but ask yourself who could Freddie have fingered that would result in himself getting thrown off of the roof? It would be Harry, followed by Jan and his stupid daughter, neither of which seems likely. I think Maeve being the rat is a red herring.

Also what's up with Colin and Richie, are we meant to believe that Colin served up Fisk and the other detective to get murdered my Richie? I think so but wasn't super clear.

It’s Eddie.   Of course that makes Eddie the same to Maeve as Seraphina so I don’t get Maeve’s loyalty to Eddie unless she is about to turn on him.   Still wondering who Freddie named to get him thrown off roof.  I presume Maeve.

And Inwont be stunned to find out Kat is CIA or something.   This show has already gone Gangs of London bonkers with the end of the last two episodes.

Yeah and Kevin knows it. Brutal. I will say again, as hateful as he is, the dude who is playing Eddie is absolutely nailing it. It is going to be so glorious when Harry eventually kills him and every single person watching this show has gotta be on board with that.

Retract my previous comment about Maeve being smart unless there was some 4D chess manipulation going on there with Kevin. That was pathetic and not well written. To the point that I feel like I am missing out on some 4D chess by Maeve but I don't think I am, I think it was just that lazy. Really fun show and I can't wait for the next episode, but there is definitely some stuff that is going to keep me from putting it in the great category.

  13. Fantastic episode imo. Maybe the best one yet, either season. So much so that I was disappointed when in the post-episode recap they talked about many of the scenes being from the video game. Great storytelling with the flashbacks on how Ellie came to realize what happened in SLC and how her resentment for Joel grew. Loved also the call back to Joel's childhood, and psyched to see Lalo make an appearance.

Also, a thought/prediction. I'm going to spoiler it, even though I'm a non game player and don't know what will happen

    Spoiler

I think Deena is going to die. This is the only way the amount of attention that has been paid to the budding scissor relationship makes sense. It's completely out of place with the rest of the story.

The scenes involving the infected, the wolves and the cult are great. The scenes about Ellie and Dina's budding relationship are pretty fucking terrible.

I just finished last night and started reading the replies and bravo you said it much more succinctly than I could have.

Also why do they alternately portray Ellie as a zombie killing badass and then a dumber than a 10 year old idiot when Dina is making battle plans. For the better part of an episode there, Dina was giving main character energy and Ellie was just the doofus sidekick. And then at the end she's Jason Bourne again.

The plot is still good and interesting, and I still think Ramsey is a kick ass actor with plenty of good scenes. And I like Dina and think her character is well acted, too, but yeah the writers are forcing the relationship plot line a little too much right now imo. Less talking, more scissoring.

I just bought a grinder and have my eye on a manual stuffer to compliment it when I replenish the BBQ-funds.  Until then, I may try my hand at stuffing with the grinder (and a foot switch).  Anyway, for those interested in some good how-to videos, check out Chud's BBQ on Youtube.  Bradley does a lot of sausage videos (among other things) and although he's goofy, which seems par for the course with Youtube creators, there's no doubt he knows what he's doing and he has a ton of content.

That stuffer is very similar to mine. It works. Not fun, not easy but I don't get the sense that has anything to do with the type or quality of the stuffer.

Thank God. Freaking learn how to man block as Darrell Royal and Woody Hayes intended. I don't care if they're 6- never too young to learn how to take on a pulling guard.

That's not outlawing zone blocking, it means you can't run running plays in short yardage situations. It's usually you have a set of downs to get to midfield, and another set of downs if you make midfield to get into the end zone. You can "punt" on 4th down (or 3rd if it's a 3 down league) by just giving the other team the ball back and they have to start from their own 10 or 20 yl. It's a good rule for the purposes of safety.

I haven't watched a single episode of this show.

However, based on the posts in this thread, which I have read/skimmed it sounds like the show is basically turning into TWD.

    Thank you for your input.

  18. Why does it seem like 50% of the time during these reviews we get a solid 2 minutes of analysis and slow mo replays, even a kick to Steve Javie in addition to the broadcast of the ref's ruling (hopefully it's Kennedy)?

And the other half of the time they bullshit with each other about inane non related basketball topics, kick it to commercial or to a sideline reporter, and then come back and are like 'and oh by the way, Minnesota won their challenge'.

The first few times I noticed this I thought I was making it up but I think I see an instance of each pretty much every night.

  19. Great episode. Conrad is a useless blowhard. Kevin is just useless. If Kevin is smart enough to know Maeve ordered the bombing you have to think Harry is, regardless of what Conrad is saying. I think this may come down to a Maeve/Eddie alliance vs a Harry/Serraphina alliance. How many times has Conrad said 'It's not Harry!'? Definitely makes you think Maeve is going to be pushing the Harry is the rat narrative.

Characters that are too dumb to survive: Jan, Kevin, Conrad

Characters that are too smart to kill off: Harry, Serraphina, Maeve

Maeve and Eddie are so contemptible. That's good casting, writing and acting.
