The new house for his mother and sister, who suffers from cerebral palsy, might be his best moment of 2018 yet.

“How I look at it, every time I wake up in the morning, a lot of people complain about the situations that they’re in,” Goodwin told ESPN in 2013. “We have practice this morning or we have weights [to lift]. How I look at it is what a good opportunity I have, because my sister, she hasn’t been able to walk or do anything physically for herself, really. So for me to have an opportunity to come out here and do sports and be able to just wake up and go look at myself in the mirror every morning, I realize that I’ve been blessed in my life and that I’m blessed with an opportunity to be able to do things for myself. She lives through me, because she’s never been able to do anything like that. We live vicariously through each other.”

Dude has been through some shit the last year. I'm glad the 49ers rewarded him this offseason, and look forward to seeing what he can do with Garappolo/Shanahan for a full season.

  2. It's really courageous of Cruz to venture into the liberal stronghold of College Station and take on the tremendous challenge of convincing all those aggy libtards to vote R in Nov. I'm sure it wasn't fun, but Cruz's tireless efforts in this regard may make all the difference this fall.

EDIT:  I'm sure that we will soon hear Cornyn and Cruz publicly disagree with Trump.

It will be difficult to discern anything Cruz says with Trump's cock and balls lodged all the way down his throat.

There's been talk of him running for Speaker of the House.   And he's a Trump nutlicker.

The "Trump Nutlicker" coincidentally just happens to be Pence's favorite wrestling move.

Come on.  O-C loved Bernie.  You're falling into the same trap.  At the end of the day, all these Congressman have to govern a wide range of people.  There is simply no way for O-C to stay a purist.  Bernie didn't stay a purist.  Crowley didn't stay a purist.

Take the ACA.  Would she have voted against it because "single payer or bust?"  She acts like she would have, but single payer simply wasn't going to pass then so all she would have done is support the status quo.  Its going to take consensus building to even get it close to the table now.

My point really had nothing to do with what O-C does in office, and my expectations are fairly low. She may have far more value in the runup to November. Especially if the GOP continually hammers on her with all of the subtlety and grace that a bunch of 60 year old white guys with Trumps cock in their mouth are capable of. If (and its a big if) the Dems can just get the 18-30 demographic to show in force, it's over for the GOP in November.

Her real problem is that she has little to no real world work experience.  I like her, but I would be surprised if she's effective in Congress.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if your prediction turns out to be accurate. Her real value is in giving youth a sense that their may be hope and hopefully they will feel compelled to participate in the political process.

Rolling out fucking fossils like Hillary, Bernie, Biden ain't gonna do shit to drive young voter participation. But the more the GOP attacks  Ocasio-Cortez for being everything the GOP is not, the more they will rile up the one voting demographic they do not want to wake up. If the under 30 crowd shows up in force, Trump, Mitch, and the rest of the GOP are proper fucked. The olds already showed up in 2016 and dotard still lost the popular vote by 3 mil.

Seeing a number of older Surly posters in particular freak out about Ocasio-Cortez has been particularly satisfying.

Kimberly Clark should come out with red colored Depends emblazoned with MAGA. Their stock would skyrocket come Q3/Q4.

  8. Just read an article on this earlier. Bonilla's agent negotiated an 8% interest rate on the deferment, and at the time the Wilpons had a bunch of money with ole Bernie Madoff earning a smooth 12-15% annual return. What could go wrong?

  9. Motherfucking mongoloids that can't chew with their mouth closed. Sitting at Pluckers watching the World Cup game earlier and some fresh off the boat Long Duck Dong motherfucker squeezes into a spot next to me and starts eating wings with a fucking fork. Over the sound of a World Cup game in a sports bar, I could here this dude eating food. Sounded like the Houston 500 over there.

And in her last written post she had shared a video warning about the risks of using a mobile phone while driving, writing: “We never imagine that something like this can happen to us. But accidents do happen.

Alannis Morrisette, please pick up the courtesy phone.......

According to police, Ms Maiochi had been sitting down on a sofa holding her mobile phone in one hand and sipping wine from a crystal glass in the other.

What about somebody who knowingly and deliberately tried to mislead investigators with his SF-86?   And who somehow still ends up with access to classified information.

    Here's a quote from Kushner's lawyer

    Quote

White House Senior Adviser Jared Kushner has used both a private email account and an official email address to communicate with other government officials, according to his attorney. Responding to media reports about Kushner's email habits, his lawyer said, "All non-personal emails were forwarded to his official address."

I guess it's different because Jared promises that he forwarded non-personal emails to his government address. I mean, if you can't trust the Kush, who can you trust.

  13. Driving voter turnout in November is all that matters, it's the only cause worth expending energy on. While I personally don't give a shit about the emotional well being of Huckabeef or any other reject from Trump's admin, calling for public harrassment of these people seems more likely to galvanize the GOP than it is to drive votes to the Dems.

November is huge for many reasons, and the Dems better not fuck this up. Escalating rhetoric and calls for public harrassment seem like pretty good ways to manage to fuck up. Trump loves the mud and dividing the country. Following him down that path is a mistake and I can guarantee that the dotard is jerking off his cheeto dick over this weekends events.
