  1. I was fucking around with a trade machine..... how about this three teamer which it accepted (and you guys balance with the draft picks to make it work -- I think Cleveland probably gets some)

Rockets get: Donovan Mitchell, Myles Turner

Cavs get: Buddy Hield, Jalen Green, and picks

Pacers get: Fred VanVleet and Jock Landale and picks

This requires that Pacers and Cavs have decided they are toast this season, and I think they say "no" anyway, but I was stunned this got through the algorithm.

Edited to add..... Cavs absolutely say "no" here unless they want to reboot again, tank, and hope they can pair a top 3 pick with healthy Mobley and rehabilitated Green.

Wow OKC beats Denver in Denver. Stole one, seemed like Denver was always in control

I believe it’s the first loss at home ever where MPJ/Murray/AG50 and joker all played.

I mean, the Rockets did it on 12/8, no?

The minute football players are officially recognized as employees and the universities are recognized as employers the sport as we know it dies.

I can just imagine wage and hour showing up at the local university.

This.  Then NFL panics because it’s subsidized minor league is threatened.  So it has to act.  There will be 30-60 minor league teams governed by NFL similar to G league but  leveraging the current college football infrastructure. The schools and NFL come up with a revenue share to allow teams to use college names and stadiums, practice facilities etc.  Student athlete idea is mostly gone but so is safety net for players.  Recruiting stays same but it’s totally for profit for everyone.

Very very weird feeling and watch. Was kind of struggling through it, and wondering where it’s going, but it won me over in act 3. Performances were great and I just love Natalie Portman, which helped my reception of the film.

The musical cues that come in are so out of place feeling and funny.

    Well it is Todd Haynes.

He’d say “I don’t have to,” being vague enough in his admission that there wouldn’t be another election if he’s re-elected, so that no one could insist that he definitely means that. But that’s what he would mean. And then he’d go on about how the 2020 election was stolen from him and how he deserves another term. And he also might bring up his heroes Putin, Xi, and Kim and what great, strong leaders they are and how he deserves to be treated like them. And he’d whine about how unfairly he’s treated. Again.

Any answer other than, "Of course I can't" should be 10x more alarming than the dictator on the first day shit of this week which has gotten some traction.  I get virtually his whole base would be thrilled with him bucking the consititution, but my *hope* is that something like that could get a chunk of apathetics/conscienctious objectors to voting to wake up.

And frankly, I'm interested in his answer.

_iaz to be next Duke HC.

Report: Duke finalizing deal to hire Penn State DC _iaz as head coach

    NO D!  Lulz.

Penn State fans seem to love him, and that D was pretty good this year.  Thing with Diaz is that (1) historically, he gets figured out and can't adjust, and (2) his schemes are so fucking complicated no one can play instinctually.  I think he's evolved some, and so long as he hires a DC and doesn't play both roles, it's not a bad hire, and Duke wasn't going to make a massive splash hire.  As a Duke fan, I'm not unhappy, and I also don't have to worry my coach is going to have a coronary.

The same people who voted for Dotard before will do it again. We need for everyone who voted for Biden to vote for Biden again, otherwise it's President Dotard, convicted felon.

I think (hope) there is a group of conservatives that sat 2020 out that maybe starting to see, a little late, the real danger Trump can be.    My Dad is one of them.  He is a life long Kemp/Bush republican that has never voted democrat.  He claims, and I trust him, that he voted for Trump in 2016 because "team" and trust in checks and balances, and left the president slot blank in 2020.

I had this dialogue last night:

Me: "You know, no one has asked Trump if he understands that if he wins, he can't run for reelection in 2028.  Do you think he understands/cares?"  [BY THE WAY - SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO THIS.]

Him: "Nope.  I think he plans to continue to be president."

Me: "So you'll vote for Biden given that's fucking crazy?"

Him: "I am hopeful he won't be the nominee."

    Me: "C'mon."

Him: "If he is the nominee, I'll vote for Biden."

Me: "Then you are voting for Biden?:

Him: "If Trump is the GOP nominee, yes."

If there are about 50K-75K people like this across the right geographies, I am hopeful.

It's odd for sure.     After the Tech game,  Yormark should've had a clue the presentation would go down like it did with the fan reaction.     Not showing up would've been obvious.   This is when someone who is quick to pivot on things would just say " Congrats to the University of Texas on your Championship and Good luck in the CFP",  then hand Sark the hardware , let the media gal  from ESPN take over the program and exit stage right.

Honestly I agree with the posters that think he’d been overserved.  Explains why he had this look on his face like he could talk the crowd down and butchering Sark’s name. Irrational confidence.

Someone needs to comfort this FSU fan. She was doing her best on the ESPN broadcast to shill for her husband.

Isn’t she a Liberty grad?  Probably was awkward yesterday given the rationale for Liberty over SMU.

How do you think FSU will do against Ohio State or Georgia if they get the Orange Bowl (assuming Georgia doesn't take the Peach) ?  How do you think FSU would do against Michigan or Washington for that matter?

I guess I don't care?  Look, the games are going to be better, so that's cool.  But had Georgia won, they would have taken FSU at 4 in a heartbeat.  That doesn't matter now, but I absolutely believe that would have happened.  We, as UT fans, would be upset, but it would consistent with precedent and just way to clean for the committee to go against 4 undefeated playoff teams.

Georgia lost, which meant we were in, and the SEC was placated with Bama because god forbid we have a playoff without the SEC.  It's as simple as that.

  11. I feel for FSU.  The committee couldn’t handle not having an SEC team in so they went against every precedent and made shit up.  TCU getting in over Bama last year was precedent enough and FSU had a better case this year.  Whatever. It don’t make a shit for UT. But fuck the committee for thinking the SEC is destined a it in the playoff.
