  1. Apparently homeboy wasn't watching from 2010 to 2017 (or during 2021). The path from Colt to Sam was not fun.
  2. Man, when did Chance Mock become such a racist.
  3. Texas wins 41-13. Texas Defense gives up 279 yards.
  4. I dunno man. Alabama white sauce is delicious, even if it looks like you got a rotisserie chicken from Krispy Kreme. Don't fear the BBQ Bird Bukake.
  5. Yep. Between defensive scores, decent punt returns, and the unfortunate INT on the first drive, the offense didn't have a lot of opportunities to produce long drives before giving the ball over to Card, who went straight into shell-shocked-by-Arkansas mode. It wasn't the prettiest 52-10, but lets not pretend that that there wasn't some improvement. Last year this game would have been more like 41-24, easily, and Sark would have had to dip deep into his bag of tricks to get it there.
  6. Nah man, we're moving Blue to safety.
  7. Of course we don't have a KICKer! That's what happens when you fire a COACh who's never had a losing season and replace him with 7even Win Steve, who proceeds to shit the bed in historical fashion! How the hell are we supposed to get champion special teams recruits at KICKer and PUNTer and LoNGsnaPper when we lose 6 games in a row, including to KANSas at HOME!!! I think I'm gonna mortgage my house and take it all to VEGAs and betting it all on the uNDER!!! (Is that better?)
  8. You know, it's threads like this that drove me to go ahead and pony up for an IT subscription. I think I'll just go back to enjoying the expensive Kool-Aid and living in relative ignorance.
  9. Yup. That is the most rational position to take. Better than just hoping Sark's a sure thing and destined to take us to the promise land, for sure. But also way better than the attitude that we should have done better than Sark after Urban Meyer burned us. We're in it now, may as well ride it out and hope for the best.
  10. So, somewhere between Lane Kiffin and Jimbo Fisher? The list of proven college coaches that deliver better than what you describe is incredibly short. Nick Saban (unobtainable), Urban Meyer (eliminated), Kirby Smart (dream on), Dabo Swinney (nearly unobtainable), Brian Kelly (new contract), and Lincoln Riley (new contract). A coach that can routinely pull 8-4 in the SEC is a great QB away from a title.
  11. I'm saying that we signed Sark to a prove-it deal because of the flaws you have identified. It's priced into the contract. If he hits, he hits. If he doesn't and we want to upgrade to a more sure thing, we're looking at a ten year contract. Whether hiring him was a mistake will play out, but everyone can agree that his contract was a hedge. Texas didn't sign the next Jimbo by choice because Texas didn't like the candidates available at the time. If we miss on Sark, we're not going to have that choice again. If Sark can't get it done, Texas is going to have to roll the dice on nine figure deal on the best coach we can find and live with the consequences for a long time. And if he does start winning, we're going to have to extend him in to 2033 to keep him. So where we are right now isn't so bad, really. It's the next step after this plays out that is a doozy.
  12. Michigan State signed Mel Tucker to a 10 year, 95 million dollar contract extension. His head coaching record is 18-14. David Shaw makes 9 million a year at Stanford and hasn't won the Pac-12 since 2015. Every coach in the top 10 in salaries is making at least 8 million per year and is signed for 10 years. If Sark is a sure thing, we'd be paying him sure thing money. But I'd rather see how this plays out than pay the next Cristobol 100 million dollars hoping that they can turn the program around and be stuck with them for 6 to 7 years.
  13. It sort of makes you wonder what else was going on, behind the scenes, doesn't it?
  14. I can't tell if you're referring to or predicting this tweet.
  15. I'm pretty sure if Alabama had it's way they'd probably still pick Auburn as their number one rival, but their other two picks would be Vanderbilt and Kentucky just for a competitive advantage.
  16. This must be the "GM of the portal" that some of the $9.95 sites have been "predicting" that Texas would need.
  17. The most significant point of the entire article is about not expecting every 5 star to be a instant starter. It sort of works out that you have long development and short development players in the same cycle who are all highly ranked, don't you think?
  18. About time the offensive tackles get put on blast. OLB and safety rooms too.
  19. We shall see. The advantage we have is that we don't really have an OC with Sark calling the plays, so there's room for Marion to grow here more than elsewhere if he can successfully collaborate with Sark and maybe coach from the booth at some point.
  20. You also get the advantage of an extra semester that doesn't burn eligibility, making it easier to grad transfer should you need to.
  21. My theory on the bodybuilder types and fragility is that their muscles seem to grow stronger much faster than the ligaments that they're attached to. Kirk Johnson seemed to have the same problems Whittington has had. Whittington definitely needed to re-evaluate his regimen.
