Correct. If heading north by all the official tailgates, it's last, up the hill.

Well anyway. If anyone at the tailgate sees this, come say hi. Wearing the TX Columbia hat. With my son. Playing catch.

Wasn't up to a committee with nebulous criteria
It kind of was. Didn't we get screwed by a couple of coaches and writers when it came to the poll calculation?

okay, now do the same calculation for our peers, as in the top 4 contenders in the Big 12. If our opponents' percentage of good blocks is 99.6% or something like that, get the same number for the peers.
I would imagine the % of peers' opponents would be something like 98% or less.
Then, and this is drawing from my Stat for Paych class at UT in spring 1986, run a T-test based on the idea of disproving the null hypothesis, null hypothesis being the % should be within the standard error margin, etc. (That old man was a pretty good stat. professor, but of course I've forgotten most of it.)
I thought about that. Holding is called less overall in the Big 12 as compared to most conferences. My argument is that it's going to have a far more negative effect on a team like TX. Hence, point #1.

This is what I can't get past.
- Texas' front 7 and backups have several NFL prospects - some possibly 1st day picks.
- Texas has played 10 games w/ Big 12 refs. (I think this is correct. Taking out Bama as I know that was SEC.)
- OU ran 80 plays against us, so I'm going with an average of 80 defensive plays a game.
- On any given play, there are between 3 and 10/11 blocks. So, I'll go with an average of 6 blocks a play.
- 10 games X 80 plays X 6 blocks = 4,800 potential blocks.
- Apparently, *4,799 of them have been clean.
* I can't recall the exact # of holds called. I know one was offsetting against Baylor. I only recall one hold that was called and accepted.
I'm sure my effort and math can be picked apart. Regardless, there is no excuse for our team - giving 100% - to have to play above and beyond the 11 on the other side of the line.

Everyone needs to put the crack pipe down. The biggest brand in college football losing in the last 12 seconds of a top 3 rivalry game to a then top 10 ranked Oklahoma at a neutral site in October when their starting center and several key players go down early in a self induced shitfest of a game then running the table and winning the conference outright with so much parity and a strong ooc schedule which includes a win by double digits away at night against a top 7 ranked Alabama who’s only loss is Texas is not getting left out if the playoff. That is actually a billion dollar fuck up if they leave Texas out. Do you realize the economic impact of having Texas in the playoff? Have any of you run the numbers? On this site alone it would probably triple revenue for 3 weeks if not more and the chance to have Texas play in Houston for name your price tickets + additionally economic impact around and attributed to that specific fan base is absolutely astronomical and cannot be ignored.
Tell that to 2008.

Sweet. I have a miniature lawn Bevo of my own. It's about the size of a golden retriever. Wife got it at an estate sale. It goes out front for both Halloween and Christmas.

seems like bad business for a taco place to be racist towards Mexicans but it's Lubbock so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I saw this on Twitter and still don't get the gist. I would guess UT has more Hispanic students/grads than any other college not in San Antonio or El Paso.

Lol. Was it July Fowdy? I was sick, and had just finished off a couple of bourbons. I fell asleep in the 1st half thinking about what a disaster this game was turning into. I wake up at halftime hearing Fowdy's voice, so I assumed I really was just having a nightmare.

I can't recall which side it was, but the lawyers did not want anyone experienced in accounting. The defendant was gaming the system by moving this purchase over here and that car title over there. During selection, anyone with accounting experience was eliminated. I thought that was odd.

Wtf with the refs?

3 fumbles that have bounced their way.

Only 4 linemen downfield on that pass.

IIRC, TX played something like 7 straight qtrs against OU w/o a penalty. Was 2-3 yrs ago.
