I know the strips aren't 100% reliable, but I'm always testing to the far right (good end) of the scale. Plus, I had a soccer game Sunday and I haven't run that effortlessly since about 2005 so something's working.

Is there some sort of formula that can put my mind at ease re: changing fat to muscle and the subsequent effect on weight?
I went from 224 and extremely sedentary (for about 3 months before Jan 1st) to keto a couple of weeks ago to keto + lots of activity/workouts a week ago. I droppred down to a low of 207 last Fri. I'm actually up to 210 today. I'm trying to convince myself that I've lost fat and added muscle, but I don't want to make excuses.

These people would be really pissed if they ever turned the channel to Top Chef or the Food Network.

aggy kind of reminds me of the time I broke up with a girl in high school. We had the same friends, so we had to sit near each other at lunch. She would go out of her way to let everyone know how happy she was and how many guys she talked to and how she was in such demand. Everyone around her just snickered the entire time. Joke was on her similarly to aggy.

I've cheated like hell the lasr 24 hours. Partially because I needed a break but also paryially because I wanted to get a sense of how my body feels after 2 weeks.
Now I know it won't be that hard to get back on the horse plus I start a much more rigorous exercise routine tomorrow to get me ready for soccer and cycling races.

Our offensive rebounding has turned to shit lately with 1 guy down there when we aren’t hitting shit.
Rub it in.

After I typed that, I realized that the "if" wasn't necessary. If TN gets to the FF and, say, loses to a 2 seed, I guess we'll all be partially satisfied.
-
This thtead is going to be so awesome if TN gets upset in the tourney OR wins it all.

Is that what fun basketball looks like *NC State)?

I'm thinking of a weird conversation I had with the parents of my 12 year-old's best friend in Knoxville a few years ago. Dad is a VCU grad; mom is actually a UTTexas grad. He swore up and down Shaka would never go to Texas. She took my side with the "We're Texas" meme. All three of us kind of chuckled that TN got Barnes. Weird.

Having lost quite a bit of my appetite while doing the keto thing, I could see how fasting might work. My issue/question is how do you get over the loss of energy or fatigue? I've never had much of an appetite in the morning; however, if I don't put something in my stomach, I'll get all fainty and weak.

LULZ. Just about all the remake had to do to make money was plaster the Ghostbuster's symbol onto the screen and throw in a scene with slimer. And Leslie Jones is going to complain? The WNBA analogy is spot on.

I don't know Goo. I'm about 90% ready to cede that you were right about this guy; however, the last couple of games seem like warning signs. I can almost hear the, "And the number one seed goes down" in my head.
Regardless, all my friends back in Knoxville (and my wife) are sky high. Can't believe TN is a basketball school right now.

Disclaimer:
New Orleans daytime = cool historical stuff, great food.
New Orleans at night = disgusting, penicillin shot needed

Most of the players we signed between February 2010 and Mack Brown's firing were huge disappointments to me. Gray is the best example.
Reaching back a little further, I would say Malcolm Williams was one-- I thought that 91-ydr against Tech presaged bigger things. Nope!
Edorian McCullough was another. I don't follow recruiting closely, but I seem to recall McCullough being touted as the best DB prospect we'd ever signed (or on that level), and that didn't turn out to be the case.
Interesting in that both were from the city of Garland.

If this works out, kind of odd how Kingsbury both screwed us and ultimately helped us.

I thought we were in the Trust Tree...the safe nest. Are we not?

Yeah, I'm not.
I thought the Hulu version was better. It wasn't made by people who were complicit in the fraud.
I liked the Hulu one better as well.
I'm curious as to why there was virtually no coverage as to what happened between the first plane leaving and what happened with the rest of the people. IIRC, some of those stuck on the island were strong-armed by the local security and things got pretty shady.

But... I brought the comb.

LOL was out taking a walk this evening with the headphones, caught the last 3 minutes.
I knew we would lose, so I had no aspirations, but it was pathetically funny listening to Way's call. You could hear him getting frustrated within the last minute, and then especially the last 30 seconds. On that klanker last 3 attempt that landed somewhere in Amarillo, you could hear him almost saying behind his breath, "fuck this shit." I'm not sure I ever heard him that.. what... frustrated? Pissed off? "Here we go again" type stuff.
Anyway, that's something I guess I've heard from him before but mostly earlier in his career. It's almost as if he was Bob Uecker calling the Indians games in Major Leaague.Other than Lowell Galindo, I've noticed quite a few announcers wondering (out loud) what the f is going on during the game. I have no idea who was announcing tonight, but they seemed perplexed as to what Shaka was trying to accomplish.
-
The lack of hustle/focus was what pissed me off tonight. DO watched at least two balls go out of bounds that he easily could have handled. (That's what she said.) I started to watch the lane to see if anyone was even trying to box out...not really. If DO and Simms are going to play like little bitches, put Hepa in. At least the guy tries. He may not be as good (right now), but I'd rather watch us try and lose and not try and lose. And of course the final shot is some bullshit prayer that hits the top of the backboard.
