Nashville for sure next season. Easy to get into and out of. Plenty to do around the game. The stadium is not great but the campus is cool. I'd love to go to Knoxville. Baton Rouge I think I will opt for as a game with LSU and aggy. Auburn could be decent. Kentucky will be an easy trip. I think I can live without going to Gainesville, Starkville, and Columbia, SC.

You might want to reconsider Columbia. Underrated road-trip imo, not in the top half but not at the bottom either.

im guessing the jackrabbits got the northeast by beating South Dakota who beat North Dakota state who beat Maine in week 2.

    Nope…

Maine isn’t FBS so they weren’t on the map.

    That territory belonged to…
    Boston College who lost to
    Northern Illinois who lost to
    Southern Illinois who lost to
    Youngstown State who lost to
    South Dakota who lost to
South Dakota State who rules with an iron fist

They should have to change their mascot if they want to be in FBS.  Blue Hens???  That's sounds like a women's lacrosse team!

Yeah they should call themselves the Wildcats, Cougars, Bears, Bulldogs or Tigers. We could always use more of those in FBS football.

This is 100% true and my bet is Bjork will be fired in the next couple of months.

    Yep.

Extended Jimbo then fired Jimbo without a plan. Embarrassed aggy (not hard to do) having to hire a fall back option’s backup plan.

They’ll promote ‘eRod’ to full HC, give him a $2-4 mil/yr contract for 5 years with a tiny buyout to reset the market from their overspending lunacy.

They then fire Bjork. Hire a new AD that quietly sets up a need HC behind the scenes and they pull the trigger after loss #4 next year.

  5. Crazy how all these coaches with big guaranteed contracts are going to leave for a low base high incentive contract at aggy where they have admitted that they are cutting football expenses, support staff, and reducing salaries for their assistant coaches.

And if they beat Washington to win the Pac 12?

Maybe that will be a push with our best win. What’s their 2nd/3rd best win. What was the outcome in games against common opponents?

Texas - 8-3 K State (maybe 9 wins if they take care of business against ISU), and presumably 9-3 Okie State. Beat TX Tech 57-7

Oregon - 8-4 Utah, 7-5 USC and Beat TX Tech 38-30

Texas has a better resume. End of story.

    edit:

Oregon has 4 wins over bowl eligible teams (5 if Cal beat UCLA tonight) prior to their CCG.

Texas has 7 wins over bowl eligible teams prior to their CCG.

I'm not disagreeing with you on anything. My post was stating that I don't see why people get upset at others on this website who question possibility and probability when looking at this. It's like they are being treated as outcasts because they are accounting for possiblities that (gasp) may not favor Texas.

Fair, I think there are a few posters on here absolutely assuming the worst case. I think if you can review the facts most reasonable people would realize it will be difficult to keep Texas out (not impossible, but improbable).

The Bama win was huge, without that we’d very likely be on the outside.

Can’t it be said you’re rubbing your pussy too hard here as well? No one is denying what you wrote above rather people are just questioning why Oregon has continued to be ahead of Texas in spite of all of the above. If both Oregon and Texas win their CCG and Oregon is already above Texas, it’s a valid question to ask why would the committee all of a sudden move Texas ahead of Oregon with the same record and same result after having beat a higher ranked team in their CCG? That isn’t denying what we’ve accomplished rather it’s just a valid question to be asked—that’s all. There’s nothing wrong with that yet people are getting upset about asking the question and accounting for probability/possibility. You’re 100% correct at the above, though.

And if the committee does move Texas above Oregon and we both have Conference Championships, then it makes me question the credibility of the committee yet again because why didn’t you move Texas ahead of them weeks ago if you’re justification is one or more of the accomplishments posted above?

That’s really it. It’s not that big of a deal.

The committee absolutely will adjust as needed especially when there are shakeups in the rankings.

    New data points this week:

Texas secures it’s spot in the Big 12 CCG

Texas destroys Tech and team that shares a common opponent with Oregon

    Ohio State loses/Michigan wins

Regular season will be complete and they can accurately compare conference strength

They’ve stated that the margins between the one loss teams was very slim, I think they have a better argument now versus next week to move teams around.
