  1. To be arraigned on Thursday
  2. DOJ statement within the hour per CNN
  3. Here it is https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.258149/gov.uscourts.dcd.258149.1.0_1.pdf
  4. Had a cool stat on Sunday: more 1-putts (10) than 2-putts (8). Personal best 26 putts on the way to an 81.
  5. Yep. It’s all water, of course. When we’re in perpetual calorie deficit we don’t store carbs at a significant level because our body prefers to burn it as soon as possible. Once we move to maintaining, our body has an opportunity to store carbs that are no longer almost immediately used. Carbs are stored with water molecules at a 1:3 ratio, thus an effective quadrupling of that stored weight (the carb PLUS 3x it’s weight in paired water). I don’t think a gradual increase would have solved for this, imo. It’s not reasonable for us to expect to never store carbs, so we just have to embrace that they will come back when we come out of deficits. How fast really isn’t that interesting to me. An excellent example of why focusing on weight is less preferable to fat mass, though if your scale is like mine it probably interprets this excess water as fat, too, so who knows…
  6. That’s probably just the source image being removed from its host, which is why imma suggests we always post images directly to surly rather than linking
  7. The head security guy would likely have the rights on their security system. The IT administrator would not grant rights to an underling without the security head’s permission.
  8. Probably not referring to legal rights, but rather IT permissions
  9. It’s the “Ends Justify the Means” party
  10. What’s wild to me is he had boxes delivered from storage to his suite so he could filter through them preemptively, and then had them returned to storage for the planned lawyer “search”. The lawyer then STILL found tons of incriminating shit in them! JESUS, WHAT THE FUCK DID HE FILTER OUT!?!?!
  11. Bump for those that missed it last night, re pool flooding
  12. I’m not stunned by his actions, but I am stunned how he gift wrapped this Recording your own crimeing, enlisting your valet to participate in subsequent crimeing, and then failing to crime sufficiently so as to avoid getting caught on first crime is absolutely breathtaking
  13. For those wondering, THIS surveillance tape slapdickery occurred in June 2022, and the FBI received the tapes in July 2022. The pool flooding slapdickery didn’t occur until October 2022, after the FBI requested another round of tapes. https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/05/politics/mar-a-lago-pool-flood-suspicions-prosecutors-trump-investigation-classified-documents/index.html
  14. The latest indictment if anyone was looking https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.flsd.648652/gov.uscourts.flsd.648652.85.0_2.pdf
  15. While we may drop an http link (and the forum may display it as such), the forum software is actually decoding it and making an API call for content. It’s not using the source’s web services for that content.
  16. I believe it takes: 1) the platform makes their content available via API 2) the forum software providing a widget that displays content it collects from that API. #1 likely occurs when they release a web version, as their web version will probably leverage APIs itself #2 might take a while depending on demand from the @immamac ‘s of the world who buy forum software
  17. A lot of it is, thanks to posters double posting. Will be even more once they get web app up. We need embedding here, though
  18. Or it was a plant, he knew it was coming, and that’s STILL the answer given.
  19. The perfect reference does not exis…
  20. Nice place you have here. Would be a shame if anything were to happen to it. Need security?
  21. I was indeed under the impression that Imma (or maybe bl) had flat out stated it as a rule here. That the mods were willing to put up with a lot of juvenile shit, but not the N or R words. Those would earn a timeout. I’m fine with that. There are lines on virtually all boards. They must get drawn somewhere and their placement is often debatable, but I think this one is reasonable.
