  1. I’d have to assume commodity at this point. There’s nothing sophisticated in a base model (don’t really need slope or vibration reduction) and I’d assume even the cheapo brands do their single task well enough? That said, my bushnell is like 15 years old and behaves/looks identical to when it was brand new.
  2. That’s incredibly fucked up. Only justification from a business standpoint is that you know you’re not winning any return customers so milk them all you can one last time.
  3. They charge you for parking now? If so, holy shit no
  4. I eagerly await the inevitable email from MGM telling me to change my MLife password and that my cc # should be replaced
  5. Break the cycle of expectations. The annual gift traditions are bullshit. Better to address it now than wish you had 10 years from now.
  6. Nothing, we still gotta lot of games to win. We still going to roll, though
  7. I don’t know what to do with my hands
  8. I could have caught that and have some eligibility left, coach
  9. Keyword search is now out. Kill/restart app to see it. Searching for “longhorns” introduced me to a few new follows that didn’t have that In their name/description, ie thedailytexan
  10. I actually stopped watching him because it bugs me so much, but another in the group last weekend later told me he counted TWENTY SEVEN waggles before one of his tee shots
  11. What’s your move when a regular in your group develops a freeze over the ball while struggling to get their swing back and now, routinely, takes an excessively long time to pull the trigger? I only see him immediately before our weekly round and don’t want to get in his head pre round or during it. I’m thinking I need to bring it up immediately post-round this weekend. Another regular took a video a few weeks back and sent it to him “to help evaluate his swing” but he completely missed the point and his only takeaway was that he was over swinging. Face palm.
  12. Same intent in both situations? For me, scramble drive is necessarily different than an own-ball drive. In scramble, I'm either swinging out of my shoes "because we already have a ball in play, so no risk" or I'm being super conservative "because we need to get a ball in play, even if short". An own-ball drive for me is typically somewhere between the two.
  13. Ah, yeah, it looks like he could have gone backwards towards that parallel fairway too for just a one stroke penalty
  14. I'd guess the "right" play would be two consecutive unplayable lateral drops. Should be enough distance to get him a decent lie
  15. Still Wynn, Aria, Venetian with some liking Resort World, though I’ve not tried it. Wynn is most comfortable/highest quality. Aria is most packed (can be to its detriment as fish aren’t as likely to wait for a seat). Venetian tends to have more availability. MGMs room is dark and low stakes only. I’d avoid it unless others were out of reach.
  16. Walked four consecutive days this weekend: 88, 80, 80, 84. ~25 miles, ~6500 calories burned, 3 birdies, 1 eagle, 127 putts (1.7 per), 1 very sore ankle/planter fascia
  17. At ARIA it’s not uncommon to see a team of dealers standing around an empty $100 table, while a packed $25 is going off right next to them. Clearly they’ve done the math and know a big fish will come along eventually and they’ll actually make more money with this strategy.
  18. Ron Filipkowski declares Trump “meltdown” more often than CNN declares “breaking news”
