  1. Yeah but it’s way better if we just suck each others dicks and talk about how bad clemson must be
  2. that first post-Georgia result is what really concerns me. An otherwise season-low in non-sack rushing yardage (133, 4.4 ypc) with a (non-Georgia) season-high 4 sacks. A week after we’d been exposed. Fucking Vanderbilt. Or the 3.74 ypc vs Arkansas? We beating top 10 teams with that? Clemson, clearly the 2nd best team we’ve played, can’t reproduce the results of Vandy and Arkansas, can they?! *pussy rubbing intensifies*
  3. someone that wants to bring a supported-argument to the table for why we’re 2 score favorites. We have to run for 150+ yards imo
  4. My point is that Texas, playing the way we have the last 2 months, could fuck around and lose this game. We need to actually play better, not just talk about playing better. Our defense is a fucking rock. Our offense needs to execute better in/near the red zone. Either setup Bert on the left or send in Arch. Our special teams have to be a reliable net positive. TLDR, if anyone really wants to give me 11-14 points for a friendly, I’d love to lose a small wager.
  5. Dumb post. By the time aggy game was played, it wasn’t even a considered an elimination game anymore. Texas could’ve lost and been the 9 seed or some shit. This is an actual elimination game being played by a team with national championship or bust expectations against a team with a solid roster that’s ecstatic to be there. If Texas comes out hot, yes, it can turn into a laugher. The longer Clemson lingers, the more REAL pressure, unlike anything Quinn has faced this year (maybe ever?), builds. Expectations are a bitch. In a close game, the crowd anxiety will not help our offense. Texas has to get a 1st quarter lead and be up by at least 7 points at half time. We need to be stubbornly running the ball in the 2nd half.
  6. Man, I hope I’m wrong but Texas has only covered Vegas’ spread in 3 of the 8 games since QE came back. Just 2 out of the last 7 if we’re being argumentative dicks about it.
  7. Sorry for mentioning things that happened.
  8. Texas missed Bama, Tennessee, Ole Miss, South Carolina, LSU (most of the top of the SEC) and played a lot of ~.500 teams close. Quinn was averaging 5 air yards per pass attempt until our last game, is immobile, not clutch at all, and our running backs wouldn’t start on any Texas team since 2008-2009. Clemson should be suuuuuuuper worried coming into DKR with a gutted student section and the expectations of the world on Texas. Edit its bizarre how you people keep bringing up the week 1 UGA game as proof. The half time scores of each team’s first UGA games were 0-6 and 0-23. The gap between Texas and Clemson is smaller than 11-14 points.
  9. LSU is probably more complicated, but Aggy and OU both missed on (or failed to develop?) and benched their 5 star QBs. Nothing will hide talent like bad QB play. As bad as the UGA beating was, Clemson only trailed 6-0 at half time.
  10. 2 weeks ago, South Carolina was as hot as any team in the country and Clemson was in position to at least force OT with a chip shot FG but threw a game sealing pick. Clemson didn’t show up against Georgia — shit happens week 1. They controlled the ball but couldn’t finish drives against Louisville (SMU’s best win, mind you) to take their only bad L. The 2024 Team Talent Composite rankings suggest dismissing this Clemson team as inferior “up and down the roster” is ignorant. Dabo may not have used the portal, he may not be the recruiter he once was, but that’s still a high quality roster that can cause us problems. #1 Bama #2 Georgia #3 Ohio State #4 Texas #5 Clemson #6 Oregon #7 Oklahoma #8 LSU #9 Notre Dame #10 Aggy https://247sports.com/season/2024-football/collegeteamtalentcomposite/
  11. Shitting down our legs is a good summary of the offense since the OU game. You think we want this anxiety? List the QBs we’ve faced this season that are better than Klubnik. Put his 2024 stats against Quinn’s. He's a better QB than 2024 Quinn. In the last 2 years, in games against similar talent, where it comes down to who executes, Quinn is 1-4 (Bama - OU, Wash, UGA, UGA)
  12. Wait so it was the McRib that brought him down? He is one of us.
  13. So you’re saying we won’t have the pressure of expectations? And Clemson isn’t playing with house money? Clemson’s DL looks solid. They get sacks at a rate like Michigan and Tennessee. We’ve given up 28 sacks this year but 13 of those were against Georgia. The last time QE and our OL got humiliated by Georgia, the following week, Vandy got 4 sacks against us. I’d wager Clemson gets 3 or more in this game. If there’s something that gives me hope, it’s that their rushing defense, statistically, is like Kentucky’s. We should be able to run the ball. If we can’t do it consistently, or we fall behind early, watch out.
  14. Maybe we shouldn’t return kickoffs from our own fucking end zone and give up 15 free fucking yards? A man can dream, I guess. Banks’ special teams absolutely fucked away that SEC championship they better get their shit together.
  15. Anyone who disagrees with this is a fucking liar. Clemson is going to be so up for this game and we’ll be playing under pressure of expectations. Our offense struggled with Arkansas, Kentucky, Aggy, Vandy, Miss State, and actually really good defenses like OU and Georgia. The only way this game ISN’T competitive is if we get a defensive TD and/or a special teams TD. Our offense isn’t scoring more than 20. I trust our defense to hold Clemson under 20.
  16. Get this milquetoast shit outta here dawg. We all understood you the first time you said it. Since then, it’s like you forgot where you were, judging us from your high horse. You know why you’re here, sorry or congrats if this hit too close to home.
  17. 3… 4… 1?… 2?
  18. Is this a humblebrag? How many nervous executives we got in this bitch?
  19. *zooms in to see where the Texas offense ranks*
  20. Lots of elite D getting played in the B12 all of the sudden?
  21. UGA has struggled with mobile QBs
  22. It’s a shame we hadn’t recently discovered a package for a mobile QB that could have been effective in the red zone
  23. So the explanation will be, “we’re punishing these teams for making their conference championship games because the computers told us to” …? Not being mindless machines is the entire point of the committee.
  24. Yeah but other than that!
