  1. He is big and quick. He won one of the offseason competitions with a 4.37 40. I can't imagine Milroe is faster than that.
  2. They did try. To keep the clock running.... They won 26-0. Are you upset they didn't throw the ball 30 times to run the score up?
  3. It was Iowa. They literally knew after they kicked the first FG that they didn't need more points to win. Iowa is also the number 2 defense in the country. There was no need to go air raid offense. Get a couple points, run the clock and win another b1g championship. Just like with Penn State they ran it 30 times in a row because they could and that was the plan, run the clock and end the game.
  4. Again I am confused where this Michigan doesn't have offense narrative comes from. Points scored this year. Michigan 477. Texas 470. Michigan also played the #2,#3,#4 defenses this year. Texas played zero top 10 defenses. Michigan has plenty of offense. They just don't need to use it.
  5. The thing with Michigan's run game is this year they haven't even attempted to incorporate JJ's legs in the game. Mostly because they didn't have to. Tough to get hat on hat when you have to keep a man on the QB as well. I am sure all fans think this way but I like Michigan's chances against any of these teams. Worthy is good but he is no Marvin Harrison Jr. The DL can stuff the run without bringing safeties up and so Michigan's D is going to keep it a low scoring affair. Michigan has done the slow slog offense this year because it is the style they want to play. Minimize possessions, grind the opponent down and come out with a win. No need for style points. I think people are confusing that with Michigan not having an offense. Which is not the case.
  6. Michigan has historically had major issues with mobile QBs. This defense seems to be solid all around that they should be able to prevent Milroe from completing a 4th and 31 to end the game. Michigan's offense seems like a good match up for Bama too. Bama can cover but Michigan will keep pounding the rock eventually bringing the safeties up. Going to go with a 31-20 Michigan win with a month til the game.
  7. Please put FSU at 4 and whoever gets in between Texas and Bama 3. Thank you
  8. IMO the less teams in consideration the better. Texas wants Bama and Oregon eliminated from discussion. Reality though is it likely comes down to winning and then Louisville winning for Texas to get in. The doomsday scenario for Texas is a playoff of Michigan Washington FSU and …… Bama. This place would implode, but even with the head to head I don’t see the SEC getting left out, especially since they will have just knocked out the number 1 team and Texas is playing Okstate
  9. Iowa has played one team with an offense ranked higher than 94th. That was pedo and they demolished Iowa. Maryland would be able to win the west easily. Poor wiscy. What a fall from grace for them
  10. I get what Iowa is and how they do it and have "success" but there is ZERO chance these guys can drive the field on Michigan. Michigan has played two top 10 defenses and came away averaged 27 points in those games, and both of those teams (O$U/Pedo) had semi functional offenses. Iowa could seriously end up with less than 100 yards off offense and like 30 total offensive plays. I know as Texas fans you are rooting for an upset but there is literally zero path for Iowa to win this game. Michigan turns the ball over 4 times in their own half of the field they still probably win 28-16. In little Ferentz's swan song could they empty the playbook and hit a trick or two? Maybe? But they don't have the talent to do that. The score won't be close. They game will be even less close than the score.
  11. 31-3 Michigan Iowa kicks a "you didn't shut us out" early 4th quarter FG.
  12. What possible reasoning could they give to have Michigan jump UGA for number 1 when UGA plays Bama and Michigan plays Iowa? Same for putting a team with 1 loss over an undefeated team. I am not saying the committee won't do it, but last year they could have given UGA the "easy" game with TCU and didn't
  13. Bama. I explained that 5 posts ago. My assumption is that Bama is NOT going to beat UGA. Which is why I said a win over 12-1 Washington is better than a win over 11-2 Bama.
  14. I agree with this. I just don't see Bama beating UGA. If Bama wins it makes things a lot more messy. As a Michigan Fan I want Oregon, UGA and Florida State to win (sorry Texas) because I think Michigan would crush FSU, especially with no Travis, and I think the only way Michigan gets that Matchup is if UGA/UM/FSU and Oregon all win. I think Louisville has a good shot of beating FSU, probably a toss up. If they do, Texas wins and they are in. Without FSU losing I really don't see a way Texas jumps in. *unless Michigan loses.
  15. I am not saying that Oregon CURRENTLY should be ranked higher than Texas, they probably shouldn't. I AM saying Oregon beating Washington this weekend is not going to make them drop behind Texas. Beating a top 20 team isn't going to jump a team over another team that would be beating a top 3 team. Washington being number 3 right now is more impressive than a team being number 3 in week 2 of the season.
  16. So could Texas. KSU went for it in OT instead of kicking the FG. So Texas could have 2 losses as easily as Washington could. The difference is that Washington currently has no losses.
  17. You can't seriously want to take ranking when played into consideration. Colorado, USC and A&M were all ranked based on preseason expectations. The current rankings have the most data, why would you make a decision off incomplete data?
  18. You don't think in the 6 weeks since this went down Iowa would have changed their signs?
  19. In my post I said if Bama Wins it is a different discussion. But currently Washington is ranked higher than Bama which is why it would be a better win.
  20. Because Washington is currently number 3 and Bama WAS #3. Washington would also be 12-1 where as Bama would be 11-2.
  21. This weekends game is going to be pretty funny. Both teams want to eat up clock and give the other team 5-6 total possessions. There are going to be a TON of Commercial/Kick or Punt/Commercial breaks in this one just for the sheer volume of clock winding that is going to happen. Michigan (aside from 1 game) has done a great job not turning it over. I don't see Iowa being able to move the football against Michigan's defense at all. I think it will depend on if Iowa tries to get on the board with a garbage time FG, or actually tries for the touchdown if they will end up losing something like 24-0 or 24-3.
  22. The reason Oregon would make it over Texas is that, IF they beat Washington their best win (Washington) will be better than Texas best win (Bama), and they will have avenged their only loss. Texas could get some help here if Bama ends up beating UGA. A 1 loss Washington team probably drops to 5-6, a 2 loss Bama is probably around 10. If Oklahoma would have won out and Texas would have had the same chance and Oklahoma was ranked in the top 5 it would be a closer discussion, but unless Bama wins Saturday Oregon would have the better resume. Oklahoma state being ranked in the high teens hurts Texas's chances unfortunately.
