  1. If he plays it’s going to be tough. I like the stats that the 9ers are like 15-1 with CMac, Debo, and Purdy and without any of them they are 2-4.
  2. I really hope cinderella's story doesn't end this weekend. F the 9ers
  3. They would be wearing Buffs instead of aviators but pretty damn close. Probably be wearing pairs of gators instead of sneakers.
  4. They were closer this year. Monday to Monday between semis and final. Thursday and Friday to a week from Monday gives and extra 3 days for both teams.
  5. I hate the Monday night championships. Friday or Saturday. Or start it earlier. I don't love that Thursday semi-final, either though. It is going to be tough to schedule no matter what, so I will take it, but damn I hate those late games on the weeknights.
  6. The issue right now is that there is not enough time to really do much. If they keep Sherrone, they will keep the majority of the team in tact. If they go with anyone other than Sherrone there will be an exodus that makes Bama's portal hopping after Saban left look like a hiccup. You can't really make a decision strictly focused on one year, but Michigan is going to be really good again next year. Their defense will be number 1 in the country again, and they return the battery of the offense with Loveland, Edwards, Mullings and an experienced O-Line. They pick anyone but Sherrone, and they go from competing for the B1G and getting into the playoff to a full on rebuild. The timing sucks because I really believe that if he got to pick between Michigan and Bama that Deboer would be coaching Michigan. Following Harbaugh is shitty, but following Saban is lunacy. If it was me, I would throw a line out to Lanning and make him say no and post another cute video. Maybe Jedd Fisch since he has ties. Give Sherrone 5 years. He has to at least perform to the Shaw post-harbaugh level to stay longer, and then you pray that there isn't a drop off like Shaw had after the first 6 years. 3 Big 10 championships, and what would likely be 4 playoff appearances would get the job done. It is a high bar for sure but, coming off a 15-0 championship, it should be.

    2024 NFL DRAFT

Then you trade him. He isn't Mahomes, Jackson, or Allen. I guess I am in the minority but to me Herbert may be fringe top 10 but not worth $270million dollars. That is eating so much of their cap.

I don't think he was ever going to be offered the Atlanta job. That seems like its going to ole billy B.

    2024 NFL DRAFT

So he's gonna draft JJ instead of keeping JH? Bro! He is a weird dude. I don't think Herbert is that good, and their cap is fucked. Tear it down to the ground and build it back up. Acquire draft capital for Herbert and do what the lions did.

    2024 NFL DRAFT

JJ going top 5, lol. Come on, ain't no way you can say that with a straight face. Its Harbaugh, he wants his guy. Maybe if they trade Herbert for like the 10th pick they could get JJ later, but really feels like JJ is going to join Jimmy in LA.

    2024 NFL DRAFT

I would say the Odds of JJ going at pick 5 are pretty high. The biggest challenge will be getting someone to take Herbert's contract. I could see Harbaugh pushing for 5-6 Michigan players in this draft. That cap situation is fucked and JJ, Corum, Zinter, is a solid core 3 for him on offense. Late round picks of Roman Wilson and Michael Barrett and you have Ann Arbor west.
  12. How do you fuck this up so bad as an athletic director. You just won the natty. Give him what he wanted in December and there is a chance he is still the coach.
  13. They literally should have given him anything. Fuck it. It’s fake money. The school isn’t paying for any of it. Give him a title like his royal highness of the wolverines. Jim would have loved that. Pisses me off so much that Michigan offered him what he wanted only after he was dotting his Ts and crossing his Is with the chargers.
  14. Yeah, I want to believe in Sherrone, but would much rather have had Deboer. Maybe Harbaugh will have worn out his welcome in SD and he can come back for another bail out.
  15. I told myself I would be alright with it. And I do think Moore will succeed. But fuck. I’m bummed. Thanks for the natty. I hope the chargers are the worst team in football for the next decade. I guess it’s better than it happening last year with no championship. Bummed.
  16. Well he was… but he was there to tell the team he was leaving.
  17. Welp…. Thanks for the natty and rebuild. Sherrone time.
  18. These were the revised terms he was offered today. Previously they had not been included. Contract would make Harbaugh the highest paid coach in college football. Elevator clauses to ensure Harbaugh remains the highest paid coach in college football immunity from termination for two current NCAA investigations (this is similar to the provision in Bill self’s contract excerpted below)

  20. He was literally just live in Schembechler Hall. So yeah. Sure about that. Pretty much the textbook definition of "back in the building"
  21. After all the smoke yesterday about his second interview, and his family being in LA with him, I said if he comes back to Michigan without a contact in place with the Chargers, I think he stays. He is back in the building. If the Chargers really wanted him, he would be their coach today. If it was a flake on their part by deciding that maybe Crazy Jimmy isn't their guy, or if it was a flake on Harbaugh by him saying, I won't work for any of these people only these people (hands a list) we may never know. Jimmy isn't some up and coming coordinator, you don't need a 3rd interview with him if you know he is your guy, also if you know he is your guy, you don't let him leave the building without hammering out that contract. Could he still go to LA? Yeah for sure. But I feel a heck of a lot better about him staying today than I did for the past few weeks.
  22. Looks like he is staying. Michigan going to make him the highest paid coach by an enormous amount, also giving him a clause that he can not be fired for cause for the current ncaa investigations. Unable to come to terms with the chargers on who Harbaugh would directly report to. Back in Ann Arbor today and reportedly telling staff get your passports ready for the spring trip.
  23. He will come back and tell the team for sure, but unfortunately with the way NFL reporters are these days someone will leak it if they finalize a deal.
