  1. Can't believe I forgot to do this. But anyway, better late than never, right?
  2. The Aggy of soccer pulls defeat from the jaws of victory yet again. LUL
  3. Goddamn I love this game.
  4. What an awful attempt by Rashford. Like laughably bad.
  5. Hoping to see England lose just for the luls.
  6. Told this story before on the old Shag, but it's worth a repost. I'll leave a TL;DR at the end if you wanna save some time. So this was way back in like Fall of '06. I was just about to graduate UT in the Spring and was living off of Rundberg (yeah, it had its moments) in condo with my girlfriend who, since she wasn't in college, was dancing at Perfect 10 to make herself some walkin' around money. She had a cousin that was trying to become a police officer or some such and was doing training in Austin. His girlfriend was this other chick named Jane (names changed to protect the innocent and the guilty). Well my GF and Jane end up becoming sorta kinda friends and going to parties together. At one, they meet this other gal with ginormous natural tits named Stephanie. Well my GF and Stephanie really vibe with each other and they become besties. So much so that Stephanie and her huge tits also start dancing for cash. Needless to say, I'm thrilled with this entire arrangement. Many fun times were had. Anyway, the fly in the soup on this whole deal is that Stephanie has a boyfriend. And he's from Kentucky. No idea how this Austinite girl met a guy from Kentucky, but his name is Harold and he's coming down to visit her. Ok, great. He'll come down, we'll wine and dine him, take him to the club, out on the town, and it'll be swell. Except Stephanie is like really hesitant to talk about this boyfriend. We can't really get any info on him. But whatever. No big deal! So Harold comes to town from Kentucky and he and Stephanie show up at my place. Shake his hand and at first he seems like a good dude. The girls go upstairs to finish getting ready, I crack this dude a cold one, and chat him up as you're supposed to do. Well things are going alright until he just out of nowhere starts negging everything about Austin, my place, the Longhorns, etc. Like out of left field a switch got flipped and he turned into this huge asshole. And we haven't even made it out of the damn house yet. Fuck. Well, nothing to do but soldier up, act like everything is cool, and get on with the night. Oh, and he won't shut up about how he's a cook at some restaurant owned by the Dixie Mafia and it won't be long before he's in with them and a made guy or some such nonsense. Like, would not shut the fuck up about how important he was because he cooked for the Dixie Mafia. Fucking weird. We swing by the club for awhile and hang, but for some reason the girls wanted to go bowling. Fine by me, I'm just trying to get this night over with since this Harold guy just won't let up on being a cunt. We head to the bowling alley by 183 and while we're bowling, this guy tells me that Stephanie isn't anywhere near the hottest chick he's fucked and that he's been trying to hook up with another gal in Kentucky. Who the fuck says that to basically a complete stranger while your girl is six feet away bowling? To a guy who knows and is friends with your girl? Oh, and Stephanie wasn't a 10 or anything, but you weren't kicking her and her perky double Ds out of bed for eating crackers. So I'm getting more and more skeeved out by this dude as the night drags on, but hey its finally time to leave! Awesome! Well, Harold brings a beer with him from the lanes into my truck. Whatever, I'm driving and I'm sober, it's fine. Until, on the way back home he throws it out the back window and almost hits another car with it. So that happened. Then the girls wanted to stop at a sex shop as a goof. Fine. Except on the way out, Harold trips Stephanie on purpose after they have an argument over something. He gets back in the truck and leaves her there on the ground. So I get her up, ask her if she's ok, get her in the truck, and ask him what the fuck his problem is. Stone cold silence from this guy. Won't look at me or say a word. Awkward as all fuck. We get back home and are walking in and I'm dreading this dude coming in and staying for awhile longer. I'm going over what I have to say to this prick to get him to bounce while not being too big of an asshole since he's Stephanie's boyfriend and I don't want to cause problems, etc. Luckily, he says he and Stephanie are going to head on back to her place. Thank fucking Christ! As soon as me and the GF get the door shut we just look at each other and shake our heads while agreeing we're never having that dude anywhere around us ever again. Fast forward a few years. Stephanie, being the genius she is, hasn't dumped this psycho. She's actually moved to Kentucky to live with him. Except, of course, he's a psycho so it doesn't work out and she bails. She's working as a cocktail waitress at some big club up there and she ends up hooking up and living with some guy she works with there. Well, ol' Harold doesn't take this very well. He calls her hundreds of times a day. He slashes her tires. He spray paints the house her and this dude are living in. Well, rightfully, Stephanie is freaked out about this so she calls her parents to come up to Kentucky. The parents get there and instead of involving the cops, they decide to invite Harold over and have an intervention. Tell him it's over. He's gotta leave Stephanie alone or they will get the cops involved. Except Harold brought his gun. He plugs new boyfriend with five shots, killing him. Then he turns the gun on himself and blows his brains out. So I spent an entire afternoon/evening with a future murderer and I knew almost from the jump he wasn't right in the head. Tl;DR: Stripper girlfriend's stripper bestie invited her boyfriend down to hang, he was a psycho, and eventually ended up murdering stripper girlfriend's bestie's new boyfriend before killing himself
  7. Ain't gonna lie. I wish I was in Cancun right now instead of dumping snow into the toilet tank so I can take this shit I've been holding in since last night. When I do get to take it, I think I might name it Ted Cruz. Seems right.
  8. When I went out on trouble calls with my pops as a kid, Limbaugh was on every trip. He was pissing poison in people's ears back then and he kept it up until the Big C finally booted him off the planet today. You listen to other conservative talking heads and they've all adopted the same Limbaugh-isms. It's a constant pushing of "Liberals hate you. They want you to die. They really believe you're evil and want to eradicate you and your way of life!" And just like pretty much everything in America, it's all a fucking grift. I can't tell you how many otherwise decent people I know who have had parts of their brain rotted away by listening to this stuff day in and day out. And that isn't to say there aren't people like Limbaugh on the left, but that motherfucker was Patient Zero on infecting our political landscape and lighting the rocket of extremism.
  9. Hope you malcontents are staying warm. Power was out at my place in Abilene all day Monday. Got up for work Tuesday, still no power, but the car wash right next door was lit up like a Christmas tree. Donut shop had power. Every residential complex around me had power. Saw a dude watching his TV both mornings as I drove by after freezing my ass off in the dark all night. Basically everyone had power BUT the small area I'm in. Same thing this morning, but when I got back tonight everything was back on. Seriously hope you're all doing well.
  10. I think we magically pull out a decisive win. Then predictably shit the bed versus KState to end the season with a meaningless game against the hapless Jayhawks. And hopefully end Mensa's career here.
  11. Watch Cowboy Bebop. Then realize nothing else will ever come close to that so you don't need to watch any anime ever again. Profit.
  12. Also, they really don't need him anymore. The GOP was supposed to get wiped out in this election. Instead, they killed their Senate races and held it. And surprisingly, they look like they're going to gain double digit seats in the House. They won't own it, but still. With Cocaine Mitch at the helm in the Senate and with Biden being seen as squeaking this win out, the Democrats/Biden administration ain't gonna get shit done. The Republicans are going to go right back to the obstruct and blame it on Democrats plan they were on in Obama's presidency. Oh, and now they also own a big majority in the Supreme Court. Don was useful to them and got them way more than they ever expected. Turning the SC wildly in their favor would have been enough. But the electorate hasn't even punished them for backing this guy the past four years. Their only worry now is if they abandon him will the Republican base which seems to have eaten Trump's shit up hook, line, and sinker bail on them in the future? With how hyper-partisan politics has gotten in the last decade or so, my guess is they'll be fine. Trump is about to be cast out into the cold and Mitch and the GOP are gonna turn the lights off and act like no one is home.
  13. Just want to congratulate drugs on winning the drug war. Great job, guys. Knew you could do it. Wish you had fought harder here in Texas, though.
  14. The thing is, who the President is shouldn't really affect you if things were working as intended. The reason people go fucking nuts over these elections is because we've given the Federal government way too much power. And the Commander-in-Chief has basically become the King-in-Chief. People should really be caring about their state and local elections and not, in Mack Brown's words, "scared to death" of how people in other states are voting because of how it will change which idiots are running D.C. But here we are.
  15. Biden still has a significant lead in PA and they count election-day votes first, IIRC.
  16. Author of the 1994 crime bill might have had something to do with it. Also telling black people that they aren't black if they don't vote for him. The biggest Joe gaffe out of all the crazy Joe gaffes.
  17. Supposedly a water pipe burst and kept them from counting votes. So get ready for the conspiracy theories.
  18. That's his entire shtick. He claims to be a leftist and just can't accept them now that they've gone super far-left. He makes his money off conservatives who eat that shit up. His takes are an inch deep.
  19. I just cringe at that kinda shit now. I remember our players doing the same thing to Charlie when he managed to beat OU. Didn't change the fact that he couldn't coach worth a damn and the team sucked. I enjoy the wins, especially because workhorses who are getting screwed by Mensa's ineptitude, like Sam, deserve them, but it's just lipstick on a pig at this point. Back the Brinks truck up to Urban's house. I was advocating for doing the same thing with Saban when Charlie was about to be gone. We should have gone after a proven winner then and we didn't. Let's hope the powers at be don't fuck this up yet again.
  20. I'm happy and I'm sad. Why can't we have a legitimate coach where I'm happy whenever we win and where we win all the time?
  21. Well we know who the refs bet on for this game.
  22. And this is why the very idea of No-Knock warrants should have been painted as idiocy from the get go, much less make it into actual practice. When you give law enforcement Gestapo-like powers, you will inevitably find yourself in completely fucked up situations such as this one. You break down someone's door in the middle of the night. They have no idea who it is and legally have a right to defend themselves and their home. The cops are acting legally and they also have a right to protect themselves. Now we're having shootouts in the dark where innocent sleeping people are being killed, bullets are flying into adjacent homes with pregnant women in them, cops are being shot, which all culminates in the taxpayers having to foot an enormous civil lawsuit bill and the city eventually burning to the ground from riots. And no one can really be held accountable because everyone is technically doing the legal thing. Or, ya know, we could just have police do actual fucking police work. Stake the place out, wait until the suspect leaves the house, and then corner them at their vehicle, etc. in broad daylight where you almost entirely control the situation instead of barging into someone's home where you don't know what is waiting for you. Then, after the suspect is in custody you can waltz in the front fucking door anytime you please. All these years later and I still remember this video of a poor schmuck getting murked in his own home holding a golf club for defense because the police busted down his door in the middle of the night. He wasn't a violent criminal who had hostages in the basement or some shit. He was a suspected drug dealer. They could have gotten this guy at anytime with zero issues, but nah, lets just bust down the door in the dead of night and shoot first. Who in the flying fuck thought those kind of tactics were acceptable in what is supposed to be the land of the fucking free? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WV6Bq8xeQrU
  23. Now they're using bow and arrows? https://twitter.com/uhgoosetoe/status/1266909397453697024
  24. Finally got the news today. The folks we've been hooking up wells for are postponing the last five they had on deck. Gonna finish out the two we have pretty much everything done for and the disposal that goes with them and that's it.
  25. The real play is to wait until later this year when maybe we finally find a bottom and then dump your life savings into TQQQ. Sure-fire way to become the next Jeff Bezos.
