  1. Post was made at 11:40 a.m. CST, so roughly 17 minutes ago. Honestly, the Spurs text chat story more believable than the weed dealers and other "sources" we've got so far. Put him in the calculator. Edit: LotusCorn joined the 247 board in December 2017 and has ~260 posts there, one of them being the past "scoop" he mentions about Card being the starter - which was posted on 8/25. Too lazy to check where that falls in relation to when that announcement was made by Sark publicly.

  3. Any news? My f5 finger is getting sore.

  5. Don't think we're at the point where the program can wave a wand and directly/indirectly make that happen. Expect it will be a thing in due time, though.
  6. Such a disappointing storyline with that one. One of the guys I was most excited about (potential wise) from that recruiting class.
  7. I've never been on a PJ in my life but have extensive experience sleuthing them. DFW definitely handles private jets, though there's not a lot of that kind of traffic compared to other strips. From what I've seen, people flying private tend to set their plane's homebase at whatever airport is closest to their home, and, similarly, on trips they fly into whatever airport is close to their destination / reason for travel. All comes down to convenience. For this particular plane, the owner's home base is in Lubbock and the plane has only made a handful of trips to DFW all year (this is the first since early October), so the only thing I read into Love Field being the current destination (and previous departure) point is that whatever business at hand is somewhere closer to the Dallas side of the metroplex than Fort-Worth side.
  8. Not surprising, they're both big fans of mom jokes and this place delivers.
  9. Agreed, would add DFW as it's the closest to SL. This plane definitely left from Love though. So take FWIW, and can certainly dismiss based on that, though we're only talking a matter of ~20 mins between DFW and Love. And this has been only plane I've seen with this sort of LBK --> Dallas round trips in that last couple days that I could tie to Tech. I'm like Michael Buble and Mariah Carey, hibernate for 11 months of the year and emerge to see whether there are offseason shenanigans to jump into.
  10. For the four degenerates interested in tracking plane movements for a single recruit, have an update. Plane owned by Tech booster Sam Middleton. Long line of Tech grads, he's on the board of their equestrian center, very aggy-esque. Stuck out to me because the plane reported incorrect travel data to Flightaware (or the FAA log that Flightaware aggregates its data from) by omitting / not reporting a flight from Dallas (Love) to Lubbock on Saturday late morning -- can only see that flight if you use a tracker that relies on non-FAA data. Now I'm seeing it left Lubbock this morning and will be touching down in Dallas in about 30 minutes. In short, could be the plane that took Ewers to TTU and is taking him home now for the TCU visit later today.
  11. Thanks, Bobby. Incredible stuff. In other news, I have a hard time seeing this dragging out more than another day or two (and hope to God that instinct is right for my own sanity / productivity this week). Clock is indeed ticking if he wants to make any NSD1 impact that's now, what, 9 days out? Might as well call it a five-day window at this point practically speaking. One thing is for sure, the 9.95'ers are loving this windfall and are going to milk it for all it's worth (also 9.95).
  12. That seems...unnecessary.
  13. Womp. That’s what I get for internet sleuthing after Sunday Funday. I promise to be better, maybe.
  14. Looked into it for shits and gigs, and pretty sure I found the plane Sark took to see Ewers on Friday for this visit. Here's the plane. Touched down at DFW around 4 o'clock on Friday. Probably got to Southlake around 4:30. Return trip to Austin at 9:30. So almost five hours visit time. Plane ties out to Austin-based real estate billionaire and UT alumnus, David Osborne, currently of Waterloo Associates / Magnify Capital.
  15. To be fair, Ewers would be an get of epic proportions for Tech historically. They're desperate in this situation too. Pitting desperation vs. desperation is a good recipe in stewing up a bidding war. In that sense, to UT, the idea of Tech giving the kitchen sink + garage apartment for Ewers is more believable/leverage than if it were instead...say...Florida, USC, OU or one of many other programs cut from better cloth than TTU.
  16. Did you forget the epicness of jerseygate? Outcome aside, I never got the impression pursuit/push was the issue.
  17. Below is what we've gotten from Barbacoa re QE in this thread.
  18. *Sniff* *Sniff* Mass hysteria? Potential program defining moment? Columbus, Ohio? Message board intel from fourth-hand anonymous sources? Conjecture and emotions overpowering reason? Jerky talk is the new BBQ talk? Futureman making definitive proclamations and generally trolling the three surly users that haven't gotten the memo to put him on ignore? Yeah, I'm getting Urban to Texas vibes from this thread. Any flights to track, legal entities to dox?
