  1. All this time and Canada STILL hasn’t fixed their internet infrastructure?! Embarrassing.
  2. If you view Wyoming as a genuine comparison for that point/argument, and think Nebraska does not have the history and (theoretical) potential to build back a program of current tOSU-esque caliber, I think we are too far apart on foundational things here to have a worthwhile discussion.
  3. I thought to make note of that in my last post expecting someone would bring that up as if it totally dismisses the possibility. A perennially contending Nebraska led by Matt Rhule would almost surely make poaching TX a focus (along with other national hotbeds).
  4. Nebraska is different for many reasons. One being the fact that they used to have notable success poaching TX talent. For example, they took 29 TX recruits between 2007 and 2010. There's plenty of competition as it is both in and out of state, so let's not support the Huskers rebuilding a platform that would let them restart the tradition. Fuck 'em. If you want parity, root for Minnesota, Pitt, Miami or a slew of others we dgaf about to build a contender.
  5. Excerpt from this article: "In its response, the UT System also pledged that SFA’s name, mascot, colors, logos and all identifiers and traditions would remain."
  6. From the Sugar Bowl website: The Allstate Sugar Bowl will host the champions of the SEC and the Big 12 unless either or both of those champions are selected for the College Football Playoff. If either of the champions do qualify for the playoff, another highly-ranked representative from the conference(s) will play in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. In the case of the SEC, the replacement team would be the top-ranked non-playoff team. In the case of the Big 12, the replacement team would be the next non-playoff team with the best record in the regular-season standings.
  7. Is it me or are they not stopping the clock for out of bounds and to move the chains?
  8. PSA: This is bait. Please do not engage with the above. It will auto-detonate "Sark should have brought in transfer OL talk not going away."
  9. Wasn’t that @Katfid54?
  10. "Ewers looks as close to normal during practice since sustaining the injury" / "his soreness is less painful than the discomfort he endured previously" Written in a way to suggest he is close to 100%, but in reality all Anwar is saying is that Ewers continues to recover from the injury. Beyond confirming that he has not experienced a recent setback, a lot of words to say little. In other news, listened to Josh Pate this morning and he went over the slew of defensive categories in which OU is ranked dead last in the B12, including yards allowed per carry, missed tackles and yards after contact, and rushing TDs allowed per game. Meanwhile, UT (team and Bijan individually) is first or second in-conference for many of the corresponding offensive categories. Game is set up for our rushing attack to feast in spite of our run blocking deficiencies.
  11. He seems to have developed at least some pocket presence, such that he steps up (or scrambles a bit) to sometimes buy himself another second to make a read/throw. A second that's pretty critical given his tendency to hold on. Also appears to do a better job keeping his eyes downfield while doing so.
  12. Weak to very meh first post. Profile photo suggests nerd or furry (maybe both?). Do not want.
  13. The response was directed at the premise that Manning would, hard stop, be unwilling to take a snap in a B12 contest, whether that's limited clean-up duty in 2023 or as presumed starter in 2024 (in unfortunate scenario where we are still in B12).
  14. Would love to see all levers pulled to bail the B12 after this season. Lay the groundwork to clear up some of our OOC schedule (incl. noted SEC matchups) for potential home-and-homes with some of the R8. Leverage the value of those open spots (both for the individual R8 teams that would get a spot and the B12's future network value) to whip up necessary votes for a negotiated early exit. Seems like we don't have many other bargaining chips as things stand.
