  1. i'm not sure how you can say that they weren't better on D also or at worst a draw. they complete stoned us all night except for 2 40 yard drives. our ST(kicker, punter, and punt return) won the game for us with what I would call a hockey assists from the D and Stoops idiocy. Kentucky missed a FG and had ST coverage issues. if Stoops just kicks 2 FG's instead of going for it on 4th down twice he likely wins.
  2. nobody is blaming the refs. Texas O sucked ass. Kentucky was the better team and because we sucked so bad on O all night the refs had a chance at some ref fuckery late. It never should have been that close but our offense is 8th grade B team level.
  3. the funny thing is usually what ends up happening is they change the call to holding instead because then "catchable/uncatchable" doesn't matter. these guys didn't give a fuck and just said DPI.
  4. I dont see how you can overturn that call on the field but whatever, game over.
  5. don't see how this is a smart challenge. Also considering where the Bucs are on the field. give em the first and play D.
  6. ha. there was some pretty sneaky ref ball going on for the last 12 min and OT of that game. very fortunate our D stopped those last 2 runs of OT well short of the goal line so it was very obvious he didn't make it. I would like to understand at what point refs consider a ball uncatchable. I rarely see it happen anymore. It used to get called more often IMO.
  7. once Arch leaves the 40 I suggest we merge the Arch and Quinn threads then, if either wins the super bowl we lock the thread.
  8. his left forearm without the ball in it hits first in bounds and then his right arm and hip hit. he was down in bounds.
  9. holy shit. I would ask, "why aren't we, in turn, running plays that the D is not expecting coach?" I realize that we only know what we see on TV but why is no one getting with Arch between drives and talking about said "unexpected looks". this thing is gonna get really ugly next year after we pancake this year down the stretch. you can't fix the OL problems quick enough and Arch just isn't good enough to YOLO. I'm not sure Sark is ready for what is coming. Mcwilliams 2 is very likely scenario with just one extra year. PK could save him from that fate though. It would be funny if someone looked at Kentucky's previous games the last 2 years and documented where they showed the same looks against similar alignments. the fact he is rolling out this excuse after losses or bad O games every time is pretty damning.
  10. from what I can tell we don't have anyone fast enough to do orbit and stress the D on that play. 5 wide means 5 blockers. Arch will have no chance to get the pass off 1) the OL will ole' at least 1 DL and 2) Arch likely won't recognize the D well enough to hit the right receiver and hold the ball(sack or strip sack incoming). We basically need to max protect most of the time. Arch is really very meh on the RPO/Zone read as well, IMO. the Mannings were promised Sark's mostly pro style O, which we do, without the OL or the QB or the run game to do it. so we got that going for us....
  11. again, Kentucky sideline. would you want Stoops red face, with dickmunching breath, in your face by calling him down inbounds?
  12. that was a) due to all the bitching Stoops had done throughout the game and we ran it to Kentucky's sideline, if I recall. you can bet he was yelling at the refs, during the play. b) the refs trying to do Stoops a solid to try to help him recover from his idiocy in going for it on 4th.
  13. will have to beat 2 of philly, chiefs, Lions. they have to have the toughest schedule left. It would be a miracle if they make it to even 9-7-1 IMO. only 5 teams in NFC have losing records.
  14. they will have to go 7-3 to finish to have a chance at playoffs. just don't see it with this D and the schedule we have left.
  15. easily 5-2 with an average to just below average D.
  16. So Schott does Quinn a solid by not kicking a record FG and Quinn decides to go for the block which could hurt our punter. fuck Quinn and Schott should remember that. Fuck Schott too.
  17. nice. great throw and hey, Lamb decided to catch it and worry about the TD later.
  18. he had time. he just dropped his head and got happy feet. it wasn't horrible, it happens.
  19. what the fuck? just a waste of a TO. this HC is a fucking idiot. hell, take the 5 yarder.
