  1. I mean... ever for you, dude
  2. "Grand Canyon University" sounds like one of those schools that had to forgive all their student loan debt for being, well... not an actual university. Ouch
  3. The thing that Trev doesn't seem to realize is that aggy wasn't second, third, or even fourth. They were somewhere significantly to the right of the red arrow and no one knows where the fuck they were looking because they were well outside the camera frame
  4. I've heard lots of basketball and, with the new transfer rules, football coaches talk about how there really is value in finishing second in these things because, when a rival school breaks promises, isn't the right fit, or otherwise fucks up with the recruit that you wanted, that connection is there and ready Will it work out that way for us? Almost certainly not. That kind of shit never does. But hold your head high anyway. We're TEXAS and our academics are totally, 100%, absolutely better than Stanford. At least that's what I read on this board
  5. Maybe I'm still drinking the Kool-Aid but I think a few flips are a real possibility. I know it's been a very frustrating summer but, as has been pointed out, we're actually ahead of where we were at this point last year. I also wonder if maybe we have a bit of a target on our back after coming into the SEC and not only not falling on our face, but being a missed kick away from winning the conference (GOD FUCKING DAMMIT, BERT), making the semis (and in pretty spectacular fashion, given the way we beat ASU), being a halfway decent red zone call away from being tied with the "unbeatable" national champ Buckeyes, pulling the No. 1 class, and doing all of that while taking local guys away from UGA, LSU, Florida, Auburn, and USC. It also seems like it's worth noting that the staff likes Turntine (who's not exactly low rated), Okpala, Howard, Robertson, and Riley significantly more than the $9.99 crew does. Maybe Brown and Wright, too? I have no idea. At the very least, I'm hopeful for Howard But maybe that's just typical "my team just got beat for a bunch of highly rated guys" cope? Again, I have no idea - but I do know that Sark has pulled off some awesome flips and that some of his 3 star takes look pretty fucking good PS Fuck Lott and fuck Finley. Unless they flip. If that happens, they've always been incredible prospects with my complete support. Also, fuck aggy, OU, Tech, and Baylor. There's no caveat here. Fuck them always and forever
  6. "Dillingham said he’s seen contracts that also permit schools to end or reduce a player’s salary over the course of the deal, something reported earlier this spring by Yahoo Sports via Illinois law professor Michael Leroy, who uncovered more than 90 different player contracts through open-records requests. 'These NIL contracts read like employee handbooks that reserve a right of employment at will for employers,” he said. “They don’t use ‘at will’ but the concept is, they can terminate the contract.'” There's going to be a whole bunch of fuckery, some kids are going to get Jordan Addisoned, some schools are going to come off looking very bad, and some extremely expensive players are not going to contribute meaningfully - at least not initially - despite intense pressure to do so. It's going to be an interesting season
  7. Edit: sorry - shitty feed. I heard wrong
  8. Why does he look like he's part of a plot to murder Nucky Thompson?
  9. Are we definitely out of it for Gunner Rivers? Not that I'm complaining - Bryant seems great and, although I'm sure his ranking will change (up or down - who knows? It's really early), I certainly trust Sark and Milwee to properly evaluate QBs. Just wondering
  10. It's only been two hours but this is already a VERY underrated post
  11. Exactly this. If I saw a UT grad doing this, I would not only NOT give them a like, I would DM them, talk a TON of shit, and ask them to revoke whatever their association is with UT. I would be FURIOUS if someone did this in the name of my alma mater - and, no, I do not care that they sort of gave the impression that the were going to pick up and re-sort the shirts. 1) I don't believe them because aggy; and 2) even if they did hang everything back, they've still wrinkled merchandise and generally made a lot more work for people who are legit not making more than $15.00 per hour Get fucked, aggy morons. Hell is not hot enough
  12. Nothing cooler or more respectful than making a bunch of extra work for some poor store clerk/gas station attendant making $15.00 per hour. Stay classy, aggy
  13. Totally agree but with one small alteration. I know I'm only one of the 82,258 lawyers on this board who post dumb shit instead of, you know, actually working - but I do feel pretty safe in prognosticating on this
  14. Just... wow. Imagine thinking of that and being like, "yes, this is a really cool idea. We should totally do it to show everyone how awesome and totally not weird we are."
  15. I just can't justify getting it to myself. I've played 4 games for even a moderate amount in the last few years: NCAA, Elden Ring, Lies of P, and Bloodborne (yes, still - I love that game with my whole heart and will probably keep coming back to it until the day I die). One of these is very much not like the others and, although I enjoyed NCAA 25, the nostalgia of having one updated version is enough for me. Plus, I just haven't had time for any video games lately. Maybe eventually if the early reviews are earth shattering or something.
  16. For the folks wondering if he's an interior lineman: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/20147061/6508744ba676570578c06675 Full disclaimer: I'm not a scout, highlight feels ultimately don't really tell you a damn thing, and I don't know shit about fuck. However... his movement looks super polished and athletic. He seems more fluid than some TEs I've seen us recruit (cue the size complaints). Speaking of, from the highlights, the size criticism certainly looks overblown. Sure, he could get bigger - but most HS OTs can - and he's still heavier than Sam Cosmi and Connor Williams were. Plus, even if his weight is not ideal, strength certainly doesn't seem to be an issue. tl;dr: WATCH. THE. TAPE. We got the better player today
  17. Oof. The reps against KJ Ford and Jake Kreul were brutal. I know it's only a handful of highlights of one day of drills - but I think maybe the top tackle overall shouldn't get reverse pancaked by a guy half his size in absolutely humiliating fashion like that Edit: I also agree with the Sooner narrating that video - his body language absolutely sucked in the very limited clips we saw there
  18. Bobby: "Ojo's gonna be ranked outside the top 100 in a week or two."
  19. Seems like pretty good advertising for both the agent and Tech. But, yes, totally agree that we dodged a huge bullet here based on what he was telling the coaching staff
  20. That's a lot of money to spend on a prospect who's far from a sure thing just to be able to say, "see? we can recruit with Texas." I don't blame Ojo a bit for taking the money - and I also don't blame our staff one iota for deciding to pass on that potential albatross of a deal
  21. If it's true that he was telling Sark, as recently as last night, that Texas still led, I can't imagine he'll get anything less than the full Evan Stewart treatment
  22. Best of luck to this young man in his development - he's going to need it. Especially when there's intense pressure to play him early
  23. I think there's some symbolism for Tech here. They get to say, "see all the interviews where Ojo said Texas told him he was their number one target? Well: 1) we beat him for this guy; 2) we can outbid them for whoever; and we're just as good as they are." Spoiler: 1) we bowed out because they made a stupid offer for a developmental prospect (admittedly one with an extremely high ceiling); 2) they can't; and 3) they are not now, never have been, and never will be as good as us at pretty much anything except maybe tumbleweeds and STDs per capita. I will take all of this back if Ojo commits to UT tomorrow. In that case, he's clearly the second coming of Anthony Munoz, Orlando Pace, and Tony Boselli all rolled into one.
