  1. It's probably a piggy-back tune that consists of a harness and electronic box that fools various sensor inputs to induce an artificially-inflated boost target. Boom, mo powah. BMS JB4 and Racechip are fairly popular on these platforms. Reality: You gotta remove the cowl and a few other bits to get to the harness where the piggyback installs and you really shouldn't show up for dealership service with the piggyback installed. While the knock sensors still work, the piggyback can't alter ignition timing to account for better or worse fuel.
  2. It's Sunday night and Kevin Sumlin just fired his former DC (Yates) and LB coach (Rushing), who followed him over to UA from aggy. You hear that, Tom? It's just business, and if you intend to share your opportunity with your friends, you are held accountable for their performance. Pick up the phone.
  3. I think most have respected Phil Snow's tenures and he shows you don't need a lot of flash and youth to produce a talented defense. Hell, just this past weekend in Stillwater, he turned Sophomore Terrel Bernard into the conference Defensive Player of the Week, a former WLB who was moved to ILB when Clay Johnston went down. In that game, he tallied 9 tackles (5 solo), a fumble recovery and TD.
  4. Does "very beatable" align with "very good?" Watch the fucking games, I'm not anointing OU with some juggernaut label when they have glaring chinks in their own armor year in and out.
  5. I'm assuming you've been around as long or longer than most of us, albeit not on this message board. OU has backed into more conference titles and bowl games than we've had the luxury to play for due to various levels of ineptitude and fuckery. By and large, the talent gap hasn't been significantly greater for OU but they've coached within a discipline that more effectively plugs the next guy in, while we were switching identities with a revolving door of schemes and assistants. OU isn't a "very good" team for the theoretical ceiling they keep bumping into during bowl season. They might have all the play sheets figured out and can put up points but year in and out, a gap was revealed in depth, physicality, defense and/or special teams play.
  6. Sadly, we won’t get the RS4 Avant and there’s a chance the RS6 will be priced at a premium over the E63 Estate. Not helping the cause for wagons in the U.S.
  7. Rhule just signed a contract extension through 2027.
  8. Put enough miles on that S6 and you'll have to do turbos anyway. The stock IHI units are far too brittle and the oil screen issue makes them even more sensitive to maintenance.
  9. The turbos are a practical bargain, considering SRM makes a cartridge section and compressor cover that drops in. It's having to spend the same amount of money on downpipes and again in labor to get it all buttoned up that's frustrating. I have a friend at SRM who's writing their tunes now. You should see what our cars are capable of on E85. Then again, it now takes a Stage-2 RS7 to keep up with a M5 Comp and a flash to the Bimmer results in low 10s, nothing else needed.
  10. Aside from the terrible play calling and clock management at the end of the first half, I don't entirely blame Tom for the LSU loss. There were too many other factors at play and he tried to get out the gate aggressively with 6 points instead of 3. Three drives ended with 0 due to execution, not play calls. OU is not a 'very good' team. Texas has enough talent to win this conference with its current roster, even with the walking wounded. They didn't have a low football IQ when they were recruited, so why are they playing like it now? Who's the goliath in our conference? The formula for beating OU hasn't changed over the last three years and Tom has done better on bigger stages.
  11. Watch tape of other teams tackling? Build a campfire or jump into an apartment community swimming pool to exchange stories about how they were tackled in games long ago?
  12. 11.80s @ 113, 0-60 in 3.5, 450HP. Probably felt faster than it was with no noise or shifting going on.
  13. Sounds like a Model 3 Performance if it had a carbon fiber decklid spoiler. It took Tesla nearly two years to complete that spoiler, which should have been a factory-fit option to the M3P, and was only recently released. Impressions are opposite for me. I prefer the Model S, especially now with the full, uninterrupted pano glass roof that made it over from the X. The design is getting long in the tooth and I think the center console looks cheap, but prefer the design of the dash to the too-minimalist take on the Model 3. Exterior-wise, the Model 3 looks like some Chinese knockoff company with no brand identity in the design. The Model Y will be even worse and I have no interest in their short wheelbase offerings. Model S Performance or go home.
  14. I could have drawn up four different ways to beat OU by the first quarter of that game yesterday. Unfortunately the team has to overcome stupid scheme overshadowing fundamentals, depth chart priorities (despite injury), sensible play calling and B12 officials with an agenda (see last year). Sooo... good luck? I'm still buying that ticket to Arlington.
  15. Yeah, this thread is bullshit. Talk about the coaching, not the rosters. Texas has enough talent to win this fucking game. Jesus shitdicks, we've won this with Case, Ash and Swoopes.
  16. He's not even 6'2" like his bio states. Far too much noise made about OU receivers.
  17. They're not out-recruiting Tom currently. That's the whole goddamn premise of this thread and the game we play in October-- not to let them recruit to that level. Texas still has a recruiting advantage in several key positions (not associated with skill players on offense), among geographical and academic. Fuck y'all pessimistic shitbirds, nobody is out-talented, this rivalry is about coaching, development and being prepared.
  18. The entire Texas two-deep? Do you have any idea how much of a two-headed monster DD and CJ would be with Lincoln's playbook? Don't forget about the backs, always a staple of the OU offense. They might be deeper in that category but only by way of injuries on Texas. Who the fuck is CeeDee Lamb? There's always some second-rate midget at WR or RB they turn into a carver merely from yards after catch/contact.
  19. It's not asinine. Watch the games, follow the depth charts, get into recruiting. If I had a blank slate of player development and scheme, with the offer to coach with either roster, I'm taking Texas.
  20. Coaches aren't on the field, if you want to believe they're part of the team. They're also responsible for talent evaluation and development. Texas is the deeper and more talented team but they failed to execute. Talk to the coaches about that.
  21. Notre fucking Dame's defense would have held OU to 20 or 21 points by now. Those fucks are frauds.
  22. How the hell do we get six on the next two possessions AND a stop on D?
