  1. If the country had done a better job getting vaccinated and we didn't have the current Delta outbreak, would we still have the 8 month booster recommendation? Or would they have likely waited longer?
  2. It happened and was the catalyst for the Oregon Health Authority to change their guidelines. They were the only state requiring masks for track and field. Maybe I'm just an idiot, but it seems like common sense. We've all worn masks for a year and half. Most of us live in hot humid environments. This isn't a study where people got on an exercise bike for 10 minutes inside and had minimal effect. Did those people even sweat? Did they have unlimited masks? Put on a cloth mask or surgical mask like the study above and tell me how long you make into full pads football practice in Austin before that thing is completely soaked. 15 minutes? Tell me about the studies that show how there's no effect on oxygen flow through a wet mask. There isn't one.
  3. The Boss encored with it during the entire European leg of the Tunnel of Love tour.
  4. All three of my kids played soccer and football outdoors last season with no masks (like pretty much the entire country). They also had no positive Covid cases on the team.
  5. Well, if an Olympian did it, then that translates to kids. Here's a real world example of a high school athlete passing out while running track. https://ktvz.com/news/coronavirus/2021/04/26/summit-hs-runner-collapses-at-finish-line-coach-calls-for-revised-mask-mandate/ BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Maggie Williams, a junior on the Summit High School track team, broke a school record in the 800-meter last Thursday. Her moment of glory has been somewhat overshadowed a by moment of concern – Williams passed out as she stumbled her way across the finish line. She and her coach say the mask is to blame, and now the Oregon Health Authority is updating its guidelines. Williams ran the 800-meter race in 2:08:45, which beat the previous school record of 2:10:54 set in 2019. “I found out a couple minutes after my race, when I had recovered from my fall,” Williams told NewsChannel 21 Monday. “So super exciting for me.” The fall Williams is referring to happened during the last seven meters of the race, just as she was about to finish. “I felt like I just wasn't being able to get a full breath,” she said. “Multiple times of that happening, not being able to get enough air -- I just felt super dizzy, and then eventually passed out."
  6. Wearing a mask while playing or practicing a sport is stupid and dangerous. On the sideline, locker room, etc. is different. While playing football or basketball? Get out of here.
  7. Cant imagine a worse thing to wager on.
  8. Doubt they were Trump voters.
  9. I actually am surprised Steven Tyler is only worth $160 million. Aerosmith has sold as many records as the Rolling Stones, with him being the primary songwriter (minus their only #1 song - that song from Armageddon). Plus he does a ton of advertising and TV appearances, American idol etc. Maybe he pissed a lot of it away on drugs.
  10. I would think you're as close to fucking invincible as someone can get. I wouldn't worry about a thing.* *this is not medical advice.
  11. Didn't you just have Covid, or am I confused?
  12. The ticket scanners check, I guess? I see a few arguments going down when people are turned away. But this has been implemented elsewhere, right? Didn't Lollapalooza supposedly do the same? Isn't Jason Isbell doing the same? Aren't NYC indoor activities requiring the same?
  13. "Let me check us in real quick and we can go up to our rooms and drop our bags off." "No, honey, remember we are members. That means we get to bypass this desk with no one in line, we take the elevator up to the 44th floor, check in there, then ride back down to our room on the 35th floor and drop our bags off." "Ah, that's right. Expedited."
  14. All I'm reading is there are still people in 2714, so not that worried.
  15. Huh? Those are the CDC guidelines as I understand. As his symptoms first appeared 5-6 days before his positive test, I would assume he only has 4-5 days of quarantine left. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/quarantine.html I think or know I had COVID-19, and I had symptoms You can be around others after: 10 days since symptoms first appeared and 24 hours with no fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and Other symptoms of COVID-19 are improving*
  16. Since you started having symptoms last Thursday, and didn't test positive until Tuesday, and your symptoms are improving with no fever, does that mean you only have to quarantine for 4-5 days?
  17. What made you decide to get tested? Did it get worse?
  18. LOL. It seemed a little too over the top to be real. You'd have to be a brave/insane soul to yell that.
