Did the storm knock out the actual cameras for this game? Everything’s is super zoomed out and high up.

I think the ABC camera guys union must let them abandon their posts if they don’t feel safe due to weather.

This is a "my dad can beat up your dad" type of argument. Do better.

    No, it's not.

You called him a dipshit.  I pointed out that the "dipshit" is a self-made billionaire.  Not sure you can cast dipshit aspersions unless you are also a self-made billionaire.

Imagine a UT regent logging onto Orangebloods posting shit like this. Fucking amateurs.

Well, the field is named after him, he started the NIL collective, and he played football for Tech.  So to compare him to an average regent isn't exactly apples to apples.

Hopefully this is an interesting matchup, and not a blowout with Shough facing his former team and Nix finding  redemption in Eugene.

I'll be in attendance.  Not real optimistic after seeing our lack of speed and scheme last week vs. Wyoming.  But at least I may be watching the eventual Heisman winner for the first time in-person since Robert Griffin III.

I played in HS in Amarillo where the wind chill was like -25. Wanted to KMS

I played junior high football in Amarillo (we moved to the coast before I started high school).  That ground when it gets cold is hard as concrete by November because the grass has been torn up and it's just solid, rock hard frozen tundra dirt.

They keep talking about the recruiting hit when Aggy joined the SEC, but Texas has been reeling in Top 10 classes the whole time, right?

Texas football the last 15 years seems like more of a case study in the importance of coaching than anything.  It doesn't matter who you are, if you don't have a good coach, it don't make a shit.

    This.

Texas and Tech both made some really bad coaching decisions in the past 15 years.  Texas had the talent to still have winning seasons, but the results were subpar for their expectations, resources, and the talent on hand.  Tech was a combination of bad coaching and poor talent, and the results played out exactly as you would expect...losing seasons and some horrific blowout losses.

In 2021, Tech fires their coach and Sonny Cumbie takes over as interim, getting them to and winning a bowl game.  Then Joey takes the piece-meal team and gets 8 wins and a bowl victory last year with really not much of an upgrade in talent.  Coaching matters.  See:  Jimbo Fisher @ A$M

If Cal & Stanford go ACC is Football & MBB & maybe WBB, doesn't that violate Title IX rights of girls soccer & softball ect.?

I don't think so.  Title IX just says you have to have the same number of intercollegiate opportunities for women that you have for men.  As long as they are still intercollegiate sports, conference affiliation doesn't matter.

  8. I know I'm beating a dead horse, and I've said this eleventy-two times.

The only change we needed to stop the 4 hour games was to CHANGE THE DAMN INSTANT REPLAY RULES.  College football's biggest waste of time is instant replay.  Adopt the NFL replay rules verbatim and you fix everything.
