Then he’s going to have the same durability problems. He is far too slight.

I'm just speaking to the point that Quinn isn't adding 20lbs of muscle this offseason, whether he needs to or not is not my point, it's that sans steroids it's not happening.  He can easily add 20lbs of weight though.

This whole "that's football weather" is puzzling.  Football starts at the end of summer and goes into the fall. Only a small portion of it is played in the true winter with this type of weather.

In the south it starts at the end of summer and goes through summer lite.

Can someone clarify a portal rule? It was my understanding that if a player enters the portal, the school can decline them coming back. Is that true? Obviously that wouldn’t be the situation with Bond. Alabama would definitely want him back, but just thinking about some other players on the roster.

There is no rule.  A program just uses their own discretion for accepting someone back.

Buffalo is spending over $1 billion on a new stadium WITHOUT a roof. With the cost of stadiums today the events you are willfully passing on, such as Super Bowls, Final Fours, CFP Championship games, it’s just negligent that the state of NY and city of Buffalo didn’t insist on a roof. Poor stewardship of tax dollars and idiotic to force your citizens to suffer in conditions like these.

Won't somebody please think of the well being of the bills fans?

So the Emmy's just send awards to whomever without even double checking who they are?

ESPN was trying to do something nice for their on-air personalities but concocting fake trophies for them is kind of embarrassing. Ah well.

Pretty much.  A show wins an Emmy and ESPN sends the Emmy's a list of names that work on the show to have trophies made.  There is probably a limit, so at worst ESPN screwed some camera man out of a trophy to give one to Kirk.

This but there is some issue with Samsung(I think it’s Samsung) TVs with Netflix app, not liking the “travel” mode of Netflix…

So for example my parents have a Samsung TV in front, a fire stick in the back room and my mom uses her iPad in bed to watch shows. She’ll bring her iPhone over to my house and connect to my wifi, when she goes back home and reconnects to her wifi, all the devices function except the Samsung tv, it wants to make it the home network… which ain’t happening

It's probably most tvs.  TVs aren't mobile so they want to make it a PITA for you to watch on a TV that is outside of your home to encourage just getting a separate memberships.

Explain this to me like I’m Derka.

Whatever device your out of home kids watch netflix on (tv, roku, phone, tablet) needs to connect to your home wifi.  Then Netflix will be back on the table for some period of time before they have to do it again.

Seriously how expensive could it really be to produce?

Oh man we gotta find some 70s era cars. Too bad nobody in Hollywood has any we can rent.

Nobody watched it.  Surly apparently was 100% of the audience.

Make sure you take your fucking ring doorbell offline if you are married and it has a view of your driveway.  I got busted like a month after I installed that thing

Their concern is that once 1 chain opens on Sundays they will have to follow suit. Effectively the law protects them from a moron competitor to the detriment of the consumer.

Why would they need to follow suit?  Plenty of businesses operate on a 24/7 basis while their competitors don't.  Every market is going to be different but just like every other business they would find a balance when it's optimum to be open.  If the store is in an area where the costs outweigh the revenue they should close, and vice versa.

The Texas Package Store Association is the lead opponent. TPSA has almost every liquor store owner as a member. It's their NRA. The convention is like a soiree that @immamac would have arraigned. Row after row of free samples and take home. The range ran from new flavored seltzers to a new release Highland Scotch that was fantastic. The giveaway swag is finominole.

Bottom line is owners are happy working 11 hours a day/ 6 days a week. Extra hours means extra payroll and possibly loss of profit from slow sales.

I am probably too stupid to understand any of the politics, but assuming it was legal to be open 24/7, what's stopping them from closing at 9 and on Sundays for profit reasons?  That's how other businesses operate.
