  1. I don't know what he was talking about because he refused to elaborate on it. He just farted in the room and walked out.
  2. I only took it seriously because I heard Brian Jones on his radio segment on The Ticket in Dallas earlier in the week saying many of the exact same things quoted in that article. I listened to it live and, although I don't remember him specifically saying race was what was driving the boosters meddling, he did say many of the exact same things quoted in that article. Almost verbatim on a lot of it, as if he's on some kind of campaign. And he definitely insinuated the race thing by mentioning some of the emails he'd seen associated with The Eyes' controversy. Anyway, that article might be from a shit source or written by a shit "journalist" but, assuming they aren't completely misquoting what Jones said, the source of the article and inaccuracy of other supporting "facts," doesn't change what Jones said. I think the bullshit part is that if Brian Jones is going to go around talking publicly on air about the problem being meddling, over-stepping, racist boosters, then he needs to come out with it and elaborate on what's leading to those claims, instead of backing out of the cul de sac like this...

  4. Wife had her first girl/girl experience with a chick we met at a Bennigans in Florida on industry night. So, this post hits close to home.
  5. Ah, yeah. Same for me. Very special occasion for my family growing up. Then my college roommate got a job there when we were 19-20. He got half price food and we could drink there because he knew everyone. We put a hurtin' on some half price, all you can eat crab leg specials they'd roll out from time-to-time. Thought we were big time ballin.
  6. Yeah, exactly. The business concept is charging suckers like me $100 just to check their application over and send it on to the government and spinning that as some kind of "expediting service" while having zero role in or accountability for the actual processing or speed at which it's done. Easy money.

Cool, judge away man. Weird, I know very few people who have the exact same view on covid as they did in, say early April 2020, for example. We must know very different people. That...or one of us is just seeing what they want to see. But whatever. Again, you do you. Not trying to turn the Dallas BBQ thread into a covid debate.
  8. So, am I reading this right that all they have on him at this time is that his girlfriend asked about getting a fake card several months ago? Obviously, they should be able to prove this thing out, but as it stands now, doesn't seem like a lot of damning evidence there.
  9. Man was it ever. I remember one time just out of college, I was broke as a convict and somehow ended up going on date with a girl who worked for their corporate office. I didn't like her/wasn't attracted to her at all, but she said we could eat at all of their restaurants for free, so I took her to Steak & Ale for the free meal, fine dining as it were. Well, I proceeded to obnoxiously order way too much food and pretty much the most expensive things on the menu. I also proceeded to way over order scotch and a couple bottles of wine, which, barely having two nickels to rub together, might as well have been Johhny Walker Blue and Opus One to me at that time. But hey, it was all free right? I'm so hammered and full I can barely stand up. Then the bill came. And alcohol wasn't included in her free food employee deal. Dick move backfired. Did not go out with her again. /csb
  10. Haha yeah woulda been a lot cooler story if I'd finished my pie, set down my fork, asked the waitress for a dance, and took her back to my trailer house and fucked her brains out.

Gotcha. I've made it a personal policy not to judge when it comes to people's views on covid, so you do you. I also know that most people have shifted their POV when it comes to covid over the last year and a half, at least to some degree one way or another. So, it's possible he no longer feels that way.

Even cooler if they'd reopen and cook good BBQ. It was shit the last couple times I went. Yeah, my first thought as well. Plus a break-in IIRC.
  13. Yeah, I know who she is. Just wondering why you brought her up for this? Figure there must be a backstory, no?

Okay, fine...I'll say it... Well, are you going to tell us what happened or what? Or at least post a link to the interview?
  15. In full disclosure, it might have a bit of nostalgia factor for me. First time I tried it, I was a kid in a really cool old small town Texas diner (don't even remember where) surrounded by a bunch of old Texas ranchers, who to me, felt like a bunch of real cowboys which might has well have been super heroes (spurs on, sweat stained cowboy hats, etc). One of those "grandpa said I could get pie and ice cream" type moments that kids love. It showed up and I turned my nose up at it because of the cheese. I think the waitress or my mom or someone probably said something like, "that's how real cowboys eat apple pie" or something like that. So, I ate it. And I loved it.
  16. Well, not sure about either one of those two things. But, yeah...it's definitely that whole sweet/savory thing that can be magical. Like dunking your fries is your milkshake or salted caramel whatever.
  17. Yeah, I don't know about that because from the looks of things, once it's in the government's hands, it's really completely up to them and there's not a damn thing the expediting company can do. Like I mentioned earlier, maybe they check your shit before it goes to the government to be sure you did everything right. I'm guessing if you did something wrong or forgot something and sent it straight to the government, the government would probably take about 4 weeks to let you know your application was declined, at which point you'd have to start completely over. Whereas, rushmypassport.com would have caught it up front, let you know right away, and you would only lose a couple days instead of losing 4 weeks? That's about all I can come up with to justify the $100.
  18. Ugh, I hate almost everything about these. Maybe it's just bad pics, but that design is hideous. Horrible execution of eclectic (I guess that's what they were going for). Does not feel luxurious at all and just looks like they had no idea what they wanted it to be, trying to be a little bit of everything to everybody. Looks like they did it on a serious budget and tried to keep as many elements as they could, while adding a bunch of random cheap shit that doesn't work with the existing stuff they kept. Is it traditional, is it retro mid-century, is it boho? And what's up with the wood paneling inspired wall covering everywhere? They were badly in need of a remodel, but they missed to mark here big time. Damn that place has gone downhill since Steve got ousted. Or maybe I'm just getting old and resistant to change.
  19. I think most people who voted no to the cheese have never actually tried apple pie with cheese.

I was wondering what the green sliced cucumber looking things and the white raw strip looking things in the pile above that were? Also that wedge of green citrus looking fruit on top of the elotes, what's that?
