I find the whole situation horribly sad - no lol from me.  Mom at her wits end with daughter, daughter making terrible life decisions, and now family's business on blast to the world.

And you have to kill and dismember a teacher. It's just a big mess all the way around

I think if neither chickens out, winner is determined via battle damage.  So 3-0 and not particularly close.

No way. Has to be the opposite. It does not take courage to run over a toddler with a SUV. But to sit there and take the L instead of "chickening out"? That's the stuff right there.

Quien es mas macho? La SUV es muy macho, PERO........bebe is mas macho!

Quoting myself here, but the LC checked out and is now sitting in my driveway.  It's really something how well these are put together.  Still drives and rides really nice.  Will get it offroad in a week or so, but I'm pumped.  Thinking I'll pull off the running boards, maybe do a mild lift and some 33" BFG KO2s.  Want to keep the mods mild since this will primarily be my son's car to drive.

They are excellent vehicles. I had an 80 series in high school (that I kept until about two years ago), and having all that space in the back is something your son will really appreciate.

Don't get me wrong, the Marvel movies have been consistently better than the DC ones but it's a self-fulfilling prophecy at this point.

This is only true if you omit the Nolan Batman trilogy from "DC movies." Those movies were far superior to any of the Marvel movies.

I could not disagree more. I'd much rather hear said dildo talk about Ireland than about the HEB renovation a general contractor is doing or the loan profile the mortgage underwriter is currently reviewing. I guess if your job is the only thing that defines you then you might not be super interested in hearing people talk  about non-job related topics.

You should meet more interesting people.

I disagree with being interested in what people do. Most people don't like what they do. I'd rather ask what they are interested in. There will, of course, be the rare happy person who actually has a job they enjoy, and that's great, but the majority of your conversations will be much happier if you don't frame it that way.

Or, as the Buddhists would say, "Don't just do something, sit there!"

I don't give a fuck what people are interested in. That sounds like a recipe to listening to some dildo talk about Ireland or some shit for an hour. I'd much rather find out what they do. If they do something, and they don't like what they do, then you know everything you need to know about them, and don't have to hear about how the Blarney Stone is actually super hard to reach or whatever.

  7. And most of them suck. Omni Parker House? Sucks. Fairmont Copley Plaza? Sucks. As far as I'm concerned, you're better off just grabbing the Hilton or whatever closest to where you want to be. The rest are too expensive and not very nice. They do have some boutique places that are okay (like the Envoy over by the District/Circuit Court), but they are expensive and weird.
