You could call mine a ‘Roo Guard, since it’s an ARB, straight from Oz.

I had one on my 80 series LC and contemplating one for my 200 series. Great product.

    Fuck Legos

    Haha.. somebody stepped on one

No I just hate them. They fucking suck. The old ones where you used your imagination were fine, but the kits that are supposed to be specific things can kiss my rebel dick. When my kids get them as gifts it's like I've been sent to prison. You have to spend an hour putting it together (the kids can't do it themselves), leaving you with a shitty toy you can't play with, that breaks, and then the kids are upset. I figure I put one kit together four or five times and then just throw it away while the kids scream like I am killing their puppy.

  3. Anyway, Boston:

Italian in North End (I love Neptune Oyster, Daily Catch, Galleria Umberto for pizza lunch and rice balls, and Giacomo's; I really like Mother Anna's also, but get the chicken creation)

    Fenway

History shit. Definitely walk around the Common.

Union Oyster House is very cool but the food is meh to meh minus. Grab a pint at the Bell in Hand across the alley.

Omni Parker House hotel invented Boston cream pie and they are fucking incredible.

Pastry wars in North End are between Mike's and Modern. Both are very good. I prefer Mike's because I think it's cooler, but have a cannoli at each one and then report back.

    Bunker Hill is cool.

Legal Sea Food is overrated but the chowder is phenomenal.

Has anyone mentioned Boston sucks yet?

(I lived there.  I wish I'd only "just visited" because it's an amazing town to visit).

Hilarious and accurate. I feel the same way. I love to go visit but I was there for work a few years ago and by day five was ready to blow the fuck out of there.

I found a 4.5 star boutique hotel on hotwire for $88 with fees and taxes etc it's $425 for 3 nights.  Odds are its the Kimpton George Hotel behind the Capitol    Any reason not to jump on this?

Yes that area is fine plus you can drink at the Dubliner until you run out of money, and then at the Irish Times until you die.

  6. Arlington is easy to get to. As HenryJames said, there's a Metro stop there, and it's like a one mile walk from Lincoln Memorial if you wanted to do that. It's going to be hot, so factor that in.

You can definitely wear jeans to Rasika. At 13, he'd probably really like Old Ebbitt Grill, too. It's a cool old place, though the food is not exactly amazing. But it is good.

I would never rent a car in DC. Metro and Uber.

and the police cam footage would have been released  10 seconds later.     and everyone would say AHH yes- dude with big fucking knife deserved to die....

meanwhile, EVERY OTHER POLICE FORCE IN THE WORLD HAS TO DEAL WITH KNIFE WIELDING ASSHOLES, and manages to do it a huge percentage of the time where neither the perp or cop have serious injuries

Yeah, who cares? Shoot them and kill them and then move on to protecting people who are, you know, not wielding knives.

  8. If your kid is picky:

Old Ebbit Grill (not great but sufficient and a good scene; good oysters)

Cafe Mozart (german food and beer; it's a dive but I will continue to recommend it)

BLT Steak on K (short ribs and hangar steak are both good and cost effective)

Those are what are near you that are not exotic. If you want your kid to pound sand, go to Rasika. That place is fantastic.

The weight of that dirt might exceed the load rating for that elevated road. Not sure I’d want to be standing on the road surface near the slide.

    "Might exceed"?

Nope. I believe that's rated for 14 trillion tons.
