  1. When it comes to a UT QB's foray into the NFL, certainly nobody comes even close to the long storied career of Bobby Layne. I suspect he engineered dozens and dozens of miracle comebacks both at Texas and in the pros. He was also a great college pitcher, as was Street. Pretty sure Layne won an NFL Championship or two. That said, different times... Vince was a phenomenon. And he engineered a last second comeback in the greatest college football game ever played against two-peat USC in front of a massive audience. He refused to let us lose. How bout "co-greatest" ever. C-GOAT. Colt... Colt. Too bad he got injured against Alabama. Too bad our fucking coach hadn't given his backup many real-time fucking snaps. We'd have won that game. With a healthy Colt, slam dunk Street... Maybe fourth.
  2. Once they get the first down, you let 'em score the TD. That's your best bet, at least until offenses figure out that the 40sec clock is a bullshit rule and begin taking a knee at the one yard line.
  3. I think I've figured out what's going on with the hiring of these coaches. I'll let you fill in the blanks, but it answers a lot of questions. Here's a clue: I've alway wondered about that year McCarthy spent in his "barn" studying "trends and techniques."
  4. It's all about money. Schott has the worst resume in the league. Jones must be the cheapest SOS on the planet. He is the proverbial king who sits on his throne counting his money while the world around him goes to shit. He must be greedy beyond belief. An embarrassment to all of Texas. Three guesses why Jimmy bailed, and the first two don't count. I think Jones secretly hates Texans. Possibly because the Longhorns beat his precious Razorbacks so many times. He is a bane on the state of Texas. Fuck, he may even hate Cowboy fans
  5. Shoulda let him score. They may not get the ball back. When are these coaches going to figure this shit out?
  6. With his heritage he could be another James Street, who never lost a game as a Starter. Something like 21 strait wins. Couldn't be stopped. Took over games. Running QB - small in size, big in heart. Tough sonofabitch.
  7. One fucking yard line. Fuck Fuck Fuck. We'd be celebrating winning the National Championship tonight. Fuck. The whole country, except for Ohio and Indiana, would be celebrating. Even New Yorkers. Hell Europe would be celebrating. Fuck. Here's to next year! Go Horns.
  8. There were probably five better options than that fucking abortion of a play call, not that it matters anymore. Hopefully next year Sark will be ready.
  9. Absolutely no doubt about it, but we needed that one fucking yard and didn't have one fucking play ready to go. It was the old "run what we brung" mentality.
  10. We were fuckin' on Ohio State's one fucking yard line... Nice call, Sark, especially in light of all the successful tactics used to in the last two weeks by other teams to make that 1 fucking yard appear to be very easy to make.
  11. We don't need some fucking boy scout to try to motivate these lazy fucks. We need a kickass sonofabitch - and that ain't kellen m
  12. Throw a flag. Fucking refs
  13. Everyone does pick plays. That was shit call
  14. Put that in your playbook, Sark.
  15. Stupid fucking decision. Pin the Chiefs deep in their own territory, hope for a turnover or maybe a quick punt. At least they'd be 80+ yds from a TD. Stupid
  16. This motherfucker looks like a winner. Success at SMU and elsewhere. Has a big, in your face, kinda nose. From Ark. This is what you want if you're looking for a young up n comer. Prior to UConn, Lashlee helped Auburn to the 2013 SEC Championship, a BCS Championship berth and the 2016 Sugar Bowl, managing one of the more prolific offenses in college football during his tenure. The 2013-14 seasons were the best back-to-back offensively in Auburn history, and the 2014 squad set an Auburn record for total offense. Lashlee also served as the quarterbacks coach and demonstrated impressive ability to develop talent. In 2013, Auburn had the second biggest turnaround in college football history. Starting QB Nick Marshall did not practice until August, but Lashlee tutored the junior college transfer to 3,044 yards of total offense (1,976 passing, 1,068 rushing), 14 TD passes and 12 rushing TDs.
  17. Don't leave Chan Gailey and Bum Phillips out of the conversation. Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys have become the sports equivalent of an elephant graveyard for coaches. A few escaped, notably Sean Payton. Wouldn't be surprised if Jones approched him before his epic run with Drew Brees. That coulda been us. In fact, didn't the Cowboys have a shot at Brees and passed on him? In any case, I wouldn't be surprised if Payton told Jerry Thanks but no thanks. Jerry will never spring for a proven Super Bowl caliber coach. Never. Best we can hope for is a budding kick ass motherfucker. That could be a Witten type, maybe, but sure as not that lightweight Deion. Fuck him. The one quality I want to see in this new coach is someone big enough and mean enough to scare the fuck outta his players.
  18. Well Colorado got its ass kicked by BYU, so it's a sign fucking Sanders would be a perfect fit for Jones. At least we'll be getting high draft picks for a while. Regardless of who he hires, it's a good bet Jones will be doubling down on fucking up. Start the new thread - The God in Heaven, Make It Stop. Maybe he'll answer our prayers and Surly will get some respect
  19. He's superstitious. If I was a coach, I'd be concerned.
  20. I've seen instances where it looks like the coach has told his team "if they get the first down, let them run it in..."
