Played a lot of craps this past weekend in Vegas. Alternated between a modified HG method and a 3 point Molly system when I was shooting. I'm not a big better but the low limit ($15 tables) are all max 2x odds so I preferred Place Bets when I could.
Had a few good rolls and did manage to hit the feature bet (High numbers/Low Numbers) three times over the weekend. Unfortunately one time I only had money on each end. FWIW I've seen that hit 4 times but never saw the full Fire bet hit so really liking that bet in it's place. Lost my ass playing blackjack and gave a lot of it back.

Encore Beach Club might have been the greatest show on earth

Anyone been to STK recently? Last time I went, I felt like it was slipping a little. Kind of dead. Seems like it might have been on a Tuesday or something though so I don't know if I can hold that against STK.
Went to STK this past Thursday night... was able to get a 9pm reservation. It was packed and a pretty good scene for sure.

I'm in Vegas right now and was told to not put the privacy please card out on my room for longer than a day or security would be sent to my room for a check. Anyone heard about this before? Is this a response to last October's shooting?
Funny that you mention this... was staying at Encore this weekend and as I was leaving my room there was a hotel manager that was knocking on the door next to mine. Told them he just wanted to make sure everything was good since their privacy light was on for more than a day. Did not seem like a big deal... and didn't even peek in the room.

Congrats Lurch! Looking forward to hearing more updates. I'm heading to Vegas later this week.

You mean new idiots. But what happens when you run out of idiots?
If you believe BTC and/or crypto in general is going a lot higher in the long term is it an idiot move to buy?
Buying after a big move up is for sure an inexperienced move but rather harsh to say idiots.

Has been a rough start to the year no doubt. Earlier this year I started to move much of my BTC/ETH into Alts as they fell from their ATHs. They have since continued to fall as BTC remains in it's longer downtrend. Optimistically I'm hoping that we are just retesting the touch of 5800 from Feb and can then hold steady in an accumulation pattern or perhaps climb back up a ways. So many are expecting the bottom to be a more violent "V" shape but I'm still holding for now.
I am considering adding a hedge short in case we are in a much large cycle dating back to 2014. Here is a chart I'm watching:
We could actually see this bear market drag on for another year with the bottom being somewhat closer to 4000 before we climb back up towards 20K. I'm really hoping that is not the case here but am struggling to find much good news and we need another influx of new buyers like we had late last year to break out of this funk.

First time with an actual lawn and I'm starting to learn a lot. My backyard is mostly Zoysia grass but there are a few areas where Bermuda is starting to spread. I've looked at numerous sites to see what can help beat back the Bermuda but so much is dependent on location and time of year. Wanted to hear from everyone here in central Texas on any tricks or things you might have done to help the Zoysia win.

Looks like bougainvillea that isn't flowering. Is that area shaded? Bougainvillea has a hard time flowering in the shade.
It's on the East Side of the house so gets plenty of morning sun through mid-day. It was cut down in the winter so this is all new Spring growth. I've heard this is more of a tropical plant... ok in Austin? I was considering pulling this out and planting Star of Jasmine to grow against the fence. This is next to a pool if that matters. My concern is the big thorns that are on this thing.

Also, anyone know what this is? It has rather large thorns

Looking for some help/advice on my yard... First, I’m not even sure what type of grass this is.(someone said maybe buffalo grass)
I have several areas I’m looking to improve. Bare spot:
And then some yellow area where I guess the dog was shitting
I read this grass may not do well with a fertilizer so was a bit hesitant to try anything without some expert advice.
I’ve also noticed several patches of clover... what’s the best way to get rid of those?

SWAY would like a seat at this discussion table, please.
I’ve always been more impressed at Sway versus Barley Swine.
Kemuri Tatsu ya was really good the other day and I thought Loro was really awesome. I still always find Uchi pretty unbeatable though.

I removed a couple in front of my house a few years ago... I used a chainsaw to take it down as close to the ground as possible then I took some concentrate poison and painted all the stumps where I cut. Killed it down to the roots and then just let it decay over the year or two and you can dig up. Other option is get a stump grinder and take it down below ground level after a few weeks.
