  1. What do they need all the tents for? Weather is perfect in LA and it's barely rains.

In all seriousness that Skid Row area is a complete shit hole and I've driven through it several times. But it does seem concentrated and not near major businesses. It's not like that downtown LA where all the "normal" people work and hang out. Austin is starting to have this everywhere that actually encroaches on people in their normal lives.

Anyone have season tickets in the terrace club area? Are they worth it?

I had seats in the Terrace Club from the time they first opened until a few years ago. Seatbacks are nice and they are high up enough to have decent views of the full field. The actual club has improved over time going from a somewhat private area to one that is now Temp controlled and includes food. If you are in section 13/14 you get a break from the sun for afternoon games but this year the first few are night games so that doesn't matter. Ends up costing you around $600 more per seat for included food so questionable if that's "worth it" versus getting something in another section.

I recently re upped my tickets and opted for Section 19 (new Longhorn Lounge) for considerably cheaper than the Terrace. And for those looking at the Home opener I may be out of town that weekend and open to selling.

Is the party over? It's been a fun few months.

Not over quite yet but I do think the top is in for this year. Guessing we revisit 8.8K - 9 and then grind back up slowly until next year halving. If we hold here and find a way back up to 12K we might have a shot at a new year high.

I've got positions open from mid 9's that I'm holding and will resort if we retest 10.7

One word, all you need to know:

    Bern’s

This... go here and then after go upstairs to the Dessert Room. I didn't do too much in Tampa, played a few golf courses while I was there but stayed at the Don Cesar in St Pete Beach which was a good spot for family.

  5. On this topic, I have a dual zone HVAC unit and on one of the zone I have a simple Thermostat so the dampers know how to control the air flow. I was trying to switch that to a smart version that would allow me to control the setting however having wiring issues.

The house is fairly new (2007) and there are several wires coming out of the all in that location however only two were getting any reading. So with two I can run the simple thermostat but with a smarter device I need 4 including the 'C" wire. At the unit in the attic there are plenty of wires running into it but it's hard to know what is happening from there to the ends coming out of the wall. Tech said they could open sheetrock or pull some new wire but looking to avoid that if I can. Anyone dealt with similar or have some ideas?

  6. I went with Masters weekend... only downside is that I ended up missing the opportunity to take kids to Orange and White game.

There are no regrets on my part now, but just don’t want anyone to go in blind.

Prior most people said "its no big deal" "super easy" which is comparison to other things yes however it's not a walk in the park and the lingering affect like you was something that made me wonder if something was wrong. That's all gone now so smooth sailing from here on out hopefully.

I don't think I got any post pain meds other than something for the day of. The Xanax prior was funny as my wife gave me a lot of shit for that saying you should try having two kids.

  8. Did my post test the other week and I'm sterile. Used Shaw as well and it was pretty easy. A little more than some people describe it IMO. Kind of like getting a staple gun in the nuts but mostly just uncomfortable versus lots of pain. It did seem that I had a lingering pain in my balls for at least a month... like the after affect of getting racked.

There seems to be a pattern that 13K is the ceiling, and then dumps to 11K.  I hate to attempt to take advantage of an obvious pattern but I may try it with some of my btc during the next run up to 13.   I'm sure as soon as I do that, it will jump to 15K.

Captain obvious here but the alts seem toxic right now.  When BTC moves up, they move up by less if not drop.  When BTC goes down, they go down by more.  I'm tempted to use this drop to load up on some alts, but I don't want to see it plummet.  Oh well you only live once.

Alts close to capitulation I would think... staying away from ETC/BTC and XRP/BTC ratios now that we broke below long term support there. Might get one final wick down but I would not buy back in until that start going to the other way.

In terms of BTC, 11.8 was the break out and we continue to test the breakout areas. Overnight went down to 11.2 and then another dip when Finnex came back online to fill trading gaps. I think there is still a change we go down around 10.3 - 10.8 so holding off on getting into any large long positions. Short at 13K would have been the better play (obvi) but not sure one more test of that range wouldn't result in a breakout.

If this thing break below 10K however we might be in a bad spot and time to start selling.

  10. I had North EZ seats for a while but got rid of them a few years back. Was looking to do that option again but saw there was a new Longhorn Lounge in Section 18-19 considerably cheaper. Looking like food would not be included but anyone with details on that space? More sun exposure on that side of stadium I guess but is the Lounge back behind the seats similar to the Terrace Club? It's the same price as the East side section right next to it but lots of inventory right now which makes me wonder.

  11. This list makes me realize I'm don't play enough golf. I've been to way to little of these courses. I've got a golf event at Olympia Fields in Chicago this summer... I guess I better go so I can check that off the list.

If you want to see how filthy it will get just drive under 183 via cameron road.

That entire underpass is a total third world shit hole.

I wish they would start setting up camps under Mopac going into Tarrytown... shit might actually change then

  13. I'm heading to SoCal for some customer visits next week and will likely play Torrey Pines... anyone played recently? South Course under construction for upcoming US Open so wondering if the disruption is worth skipping and playing North instead.

  14. Still ranging between 7.2 and 8K... we broke through a smallish support at 7550 but are rallying back today. I don't expect this to push past 8K this time as I'm still watching a double top but good enough to keep watching. Overall I still expect a trip back down into 6Ks at some point the real question for me is whether 8,500 comes before or after that. Longer terms $10.5 is the number to watch because after we break that I expect some serious fireworks.

Any reason you don’t want to just let the Bermuda take over? There’s a reason it’s winning after all. But if you just really don’t want it, then you can spray the whole damned yard, wait a few weeks, till and top dress, and resod. There are obviously times of the year where the conditions are more favorable for new sod, but you can still do it in the dead of summer. You’ll just have to be on the ball with watering.

The Zoysia grass is so much nicer and plush (plus covers about 80% of the yard). Yard is irrigated so watering is not an issue was justifying to figure out whether reside might be my only option. Bermuda grows so much faster, earlier and those stupid runners take over quick.

  16. The FUD is pouring out (Tether and now Binance) but the price is thus far unaffected as we now trying to break and stay about 6K. I'd still like to see something back down to 5.4-5.6 testing possible supports. I'm also not ruling out one more massive drop taking us back down into 3K where I'll be buying more and opening leveraged longs. For now, I've sold around 6K and hoping to start buying back mid 5ks.
