I don’t even know how it’s possible for pefok to miss by that much on the ball from Reyna.

Azteca is going to be absolutely bonkers. I don’t think Tata can remain the manager if they lose. The team will be out for blood after 3 straight Ls. Can’t see Greg pulling out anything but a 4-3-3, but he could very well bunker down and play for a draw. A loss and the Panama game is huge. Definitely see Zardes and Acosta starting in Azteca. Would not surprise to see Dest on the bench for a more defensive option. Yedlin? Hard to keep Pulisic and Aaronson out of the 11 right now. Gio won’t be back in time.

Acosta will be starting in mid w Musah and Adams. Big, big loss.

You answered your own question. Looking forward to Zardes starting in Azteca!

Whatever the question is, CCV, Arriola and Morris are not the answer for the USMNT.

It's also ridiculous that the excuse was travel time. As if flying charter from Columbus to Hamilton to Minneapolis is more taxing than Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville or Northern Florida. Greg consistently outthinks himself. The camp was in Phoenix, and apparently flying to Columbus was fine.

He's the only other CB on the roster.

So tonight we've got: Acosta in for Adams Chris Richards out, Zimmerman reportedly less than 100% with a hamstring. Do we see Miles Robinson + Mark Mckenzie? I'd still think a 80% Zimmerman plays. Do we get the Zardes Trifecta? I think Pepi will start with Pulisic and Weah up top. It will be below zero in temp and with wind chill somewhere around -26. Absolutely scandalous that USSF chose to put the game here. Honduras sucks. In normal conditions this should be an easy win. Let's see what magic Greg can conjure up.

One would think he's gonna stay in the RB family and move up to Leipzig.

This is exactly correct. He was a middling mls coach (zero trophies, won 38% of his games) who thinks he is the smartest guy in every room and is totally out of his depth. Our game plans comprise of a bunch of ponderous possession with the end hope that “Pulisic can do something” on offense and “hope Tyler Adams cleans everything up” on defense. It’s laughable. We started 5 guys who are starters (I know Pulisic and Dest may not qualify) for Champions League squads and lost to Larim, Buchanan, David and 8 guys named Gord. National team football is not club. It’s about establishing an identity and implementing simple tactics in short windows that put your best players in positions to succeed. Does anyone think we are doing that? Remember when Greg started and wanted to play Tyler Adams at rb and run everything through him? Fun times.

Greg is a walking mediocrity as a coach who consistently has no game plan. We can’t score in any first half and are always behind the eight ball hoping that one of our generational talents pulls something out. It’s why pulisic is always pressing. Same with Mckinnie who was playing 1 on 3 half the time today. USSF should demand a higher standard, but as long as the $$$ keeps rolling in, they won’t.

I agree on Arsenal. Horvath can’t get on the field at Nottingham Forrest, so I think that ship sailed.

Also, Gyasi adding tons of attacking punch, as per usual. Dribbling out of touch trying to go by the defense is almost too on the nose.

Great save by the dude who looks like he’s playing in a Sunday league. Reffing is approaching peak CONCACAF. Looking forward to Greg looking down the bench and saying “Paul Arriolla is what we need now” around minute 60.

When you have a guy who hasn’t played a meaningful game in 2 months and has always been a stiff, you have to play him if he played for you in club years ago. I don’t make the rules.

Super stoked about zardes starting. Maybe he’ll have a goal bounce in off of his body.

Our midfield was/is extremely strong and deep. MMA is the most talented midfield in CONCACAF although for a big single game I'd still favor the experience of Guardado and Hererra. I wish Musah's club played him centrally, but in a year, that trio will should be even more formidable. Would love to see Busio get more the squad as he's getting real time in Serie A for a bad Venezia team (so is Tanner Tessman, who's only 20 and a physical beast when I've watched their games). Acosta is great as a veteran sub that can cover DM and full-back and I can understand Roldan and Lleget as experienced pros to close out a game, but there's zero reason for Zardes, Morris or Arriola on the squad other than to include MLS-ers. I can't fathom thinking Zyardes gives you more than Sargent, Dike (hurt for a while), Pefok, or frankly Jozy. I'd take all of those guys over Ferreira too. I guess Zardes was Greg's guy in Columbus, so we'll always get him on the squad. He plays hard and holds up play well, so that's something. One of Morris or Arriola will be replaced with Gio when he's back to full health, but we have such depth on the wing I can't see why those two are there. I hope Hoppe gets back to his Schalke form and finds some time with Mallorca cause he adds a totally different dimension than other options at wide F.
  19. This had promise but was trash. Disappointing. Apparently Season 2 has been ordered. Maybe it will have a point
  20. There's no getting around this issue. My wife is a pediatric sub-specialist. I have to constantly assure her that our toddler does not have exceedingly rare disorders that I have never heard of that she only learned about in medical school. Wife: "Tell me [kid] doesn't have agranulocytosis." Me: "I have no idea what that is. Is it common?" Wife: "No, very, very rare blood disorder." Me: "[Kid] does not have it." Wife: "Thank you." This happens twice a month.
