Even considering all of that, they still probably could’ve kept it going but they lost the UT contract, so that’s that. No way to keep that turd afloat without that contract. I have no insight into whether UT didn’t renew because of all of the above or just got better terms from the iHeartradio group, but either way, it’s done. I expect E Hogan and Craig Way to end up over there, although that’s not based on any inside info yet, not like anyone would actually give a shit about that palace intrigue at this point.

Who will have the UT games...102.7?  They're Waterloo Media or are they owned by iHeart?

Ward / Clements and Elling look to be the only locals now on 102.7.  It will be interesting to see who makes the jump from the Horn. Hogan and Babers are the only ones who deserve consideration. The rest of that crew on the station really is bad.

No, Surly's favorite Chip Brown is on during lunch time.

    Bump.

    We're back baby!

For the last year, I've been searching for "Stranger Things Season 5", with very disappointing results.  I think it's supposed to air late in 2024.  Anyway, I completely forgot that there were two more episodes to Season 4.  They're out now.  I think one is 1.5 hours; the other 2.

Eh, those 2 episodes also came out last year.  But, enjoy!

  3. We left the island at 6pm yesterday and it was about an added 15 mins of traffic. Going to the island at that time was really bad but all cleared up by 8:00 when we came back.

Enjoying the quiet beach while rest of the family is still sleeping.

  4. 2 years ago we were on N Padre and Scuttlebutt's had the Covid. Now I find out it's been closed due to fire.  Need an alternative for family of 6 (all 15+), and after a day at the beach, outside/patio seating is not preferred.  Nothing else really fits the bill for a larger indoor place, which is why we went to Scuttlebutt's in the past!  Port A I imagine is crowded...may have to go to Corpus.

  5. Tried to go to Valentina's Sunday at 11:30. The line was insane wrapped around the inside perimeter, and they were hanging the "sold out of brisket" sign already.  So much for a soft opening.  Awesome space, though, hope it works out for him and he's able to scale up with the same quality.  Well and people continue to visit one the new wears off.

  6. To yall who don't get acid reflux or heartburn. Fuckity fuck you.

About 3 years ago it hit me really hard. I used to cover pretty much any dish with salsa or hot sauce. Now, I can barely use Franks. Jalapenos are pretty much out.  Hell, even hoppy beer has to be limited to maybe two....
Guess I better enjoy my dick while I still can. Even if I am usually alone at the time...

They have pills for that. The reflux I mean, but for your dick too if necessary.

Finally took the keys over for our pool (will post pictures once landscape is done).

Chlorine levels are super high, but chalking it up to them shocking the shit out of it and having the chrloinator on full blast before handing over to me to maintain it.

My plan was to let it come down naturally (rain water, filling it with water and setting chlorinatior to min) over the next couple days. Especially since the pH is spot on. Am I wrong for this? As a kid, my mom spent so much time trying to add chemicals to balance out the other chemicals and it was a back and forth game. Where my dad would just end up draining half the pool and refill it when she’d go out of town and it would be spot on for months.

Another question is run times (rpm and schedules). I’m seeing several different things and they’re all conflicting. Any advice?

Any good recs on pool stores, where best to buy supplies, websites/message boards to follow? I live in Wylie for reference.

What are you calling super high?  Target level depends on your CYA level (I'm also a troublefreepools follower).  But yes, it will come down on it's own with the long hot days.

The "turn your pool over each day" is a decent rule of thumb, but not required. Run pump fast enough to skim properly, and long enough to produce enough chlorine and keep the pool clean and your good.

So, we are wrapping up a big kitchen remodel and a refresh of our living area, and as the last step, we’d like to resolve media issues we’ve been having for a long-ass time. Need someone who can help us with wiring, running some cables back through some channels, and maybe helping us update our sound hookup. It’s not super complicated, but we need someone with the experience and skill to just get our shit all set up and wired right, once and for all. And I honestly don’t have the time, inclination, or know-how for all of it.

Any recommendations on who to hire?

Do you not listen to The Horn?  They only have one sponsor:  Audio Visual Consultation.

I had them do our patio/pool TV and a new mount in the bedroom.  Was all nice and clean but not a complicated install by any stretch.  That's all I got.

Okay -- does anyone know a good site to set up a 64 team bracket, and then have people enter their choices/votes (as opposed to reporting who won each match)?

I'm distilling the list over the next few days, and will present 64 qualified sandwich competitors to a few of the posters on here to rank, to give us our seeding.  Then, I'll populate the 64-sandwich bracket and post it for votes.  Allow a couple of days for each round of voting, that sort of thing.

But really, if there's a site that will allow us to set it up as a 64 entrant poll, that's what we need.  I ain't counting votes by hand.

This looks pretty straight forward but is limited to 32. Can do 2 I recon, or google for other options.
