  1. I’m guessing the colors are the different price ranges.

Exactly. Not one price for “upper bowl”. At this point it doesn’t matter but it gives a point on how low sellers will go before desperation sets in.

    Cool cool cool…

More on the victims near Circle C and the circumstances around their murder. Mother and her special needs daughter. Jesus. Heartbreaking. 💔

An arrest affidavit for his final act of violence on Austral Loop in the Circle C area revealed he broke into a residence, where Katherine Short, 56, and her special needs daughter, Lauren Short, 30, were present. Both victims suffered fatal gunshot wounds.

An Austin Police Department detective responded to a burglary call at the address after the caller said a live feed of his surveillance system showed a man breaking into his home. When the detective arrived he saw James trying to flee through the backyard, who then opened fire on the detective, hitting him multiple times, court documents said. James then stole a vehicle from the home, leading to a high-speed chase that ended with his arrest after a crash at SH 45 and FM 1826.

Recovered from James at the time of his arrest was a .45 caliber pistol and ammunition matching the spent cartridge cases found at the crime scene. A review of the surveillance footage from the home showed a man holding a handgun and kicking down the back door.

I also included a picture below of Sabrina Rahman who was shot while walking with her 12 month old daughter. Her handyman Emmanuel Pop Ba was shot getting into his vehicle at the same time. Most articles suggest she pushed her baby’s stroller out of the way of fire and ran to Pop’s aid and was also shot. It is not known if Shane stole his vehicle.

Says a man made the call.  Was he there and not shot or saw it on camera remotely?  Talk about a hopeless situation either way.

  3. Just got this:

Thank you for your loyalty and support of Texas Athletics. Your passion is unmatched and has directly helped elevate our football program to its first College Football Playoff Semifinal appearance. The future has never looked brighter for our Longhorns, and you have been with us along the way all season long.     We received your request for tickets to the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl on January 1, in New Orleans. The demand for tickets from our donors and season ticket holders was the most in Longhorn Foundation history, and that doesn’t even include the demand from our nearly 20,000 UT students with the Big Ticket.   Congratulations!!! We are excited to inform you that we will be able to fulfill your request based on your ticket request and priority limits. We will notify you of your seat location and price by December 15 when we charge your card on file.   You will receive your mobile tickets to the Allstate Sugar Bowl via e-mail the week of December 18.   If we are fortunate enough to advance to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, we are excited that we will be able to fulfill even more Longhorn Foundation members’ requests as we would receive approximately 20,000 tickets for that game, compared to only 13,000 for this CFP Semifinal game. If you requested tickets through Texas Athletics, we still have it on file and will notify you by December 22 whether we are able to fulfill your request should the Longhorns advance to that game.

So Dec 18 before any unused hit the market. Anybody know when Washington gets theirs?

Can any math wizards make sense of the rankings below?  If there are 40,581 total accounts, wouldn't the top 10% be account 4,058 and lower?

Actually the % is based off the "Rank Out of FB STH" column.

There are only 16k Foundation members with FB season tickets, and 24k without?  That seems odd.

I got nothing regarding what those % are trying to say.

  6. At least 5 incidents in connection with Texas shooting spree:
    - Before 10 am: 2 people killed at a home in San Antonio
    - 10:40 am: ISD officer shot and injured at a high school in Austin
    - 11:59 am: 2 people shot and killed on Shadywood Dr. in Austin
    - 7 pm: Incident at a home on Austral Loop in Austin (no further details yet)
    - Afterwards: Responding police officer shot and injured
This was followed by a police chase, which ended in a crash. The suspect, a man in his 30s, is in custody.

so the guy was wiping out people he knew? And taking target practice at police as well? Possibly also a mountain biker near the Alamo theater? The above from what I understand is limited. That there are likely a lot more victims? Wow.

I don’t think you can get from SA to north Austin in 40 mins.
  7. Domenica had some good mentions in this thread so I have that for NYE, and definitely as Sazarac or 2 prior.  We were just in NO a month ago and had plenty cajun/seafood so the wife thought Italian would be nice. Y'all got me wanting to try that clam pizza though.

For Jan 2nd have both Compere Lapin and GW Fins. Will decide which one to cancel soon enough.  Jan 1 is totally wing it, but probably Felix or go get a sandwich at Cochon Butcher or the like while day drinking plus whatever Immamac comes up with perhaps.  Brennans brunch on the way out on the 3rd.  Just one last detail...yeah, game tickets...

Ok serious question I’m not going to go through the effort of organizing something for less than 500 people showing up this time because everyone is just gonna do their own thing then go to the game. There’s nothing wrong with that but I’m investing a significant amount of time already in this and I’m getting a pretty mixed response.

If there is a full game day experience package I can put together that includes food and beverage from 11AM to 5PM and either transport or a second line to take everyone to the stadium. Would people be in for $150 per person? This will include a donation to TOF or Burnt Ends your choice. This will include live appearances by Bobby Burton and the On Texas Football live show guests, likely some former players and coaches etc and of course a place full of longhorns.

I got to Erin Rose late last time and just missed you guys.  Probably wouldn't do an all afternoon event, but if there's a bar meet up like that, I'm definitely stopping by on time this year.

We had this issue too. Those fuckers will drive up and, if they don't think anyone is there, they'll just drive away. We had to have a person at the house constantly during working hours when they were supposed to show up so they couldn't pull that bullshit and actually do the inspection.

When our pool was built, we had to put a huge note on the front door (so there was no way it could be missed) saying it was ok for them to walk to the back yard.  Otherwise, one knock and gone.
