You can never have enough good jalapeño cheese sausage
  7. I just cook white rice, throw it on the griddle with some oil. Let it "fry" as you stir. Add the soy sauce to your liking. Then scramble the eggs (3 in this one) in the middle of the rice and mix in. You can add peas and scallions if you want. Add a little of the red pepper/garlic sauce for heat. Also, fried rice is best made with rice made the day before and left in the refrigerator overnight. The rice firms up and will not be soggy when fried.
  8. I think the concern is adding another factor to the mix and increasing the risk, which it will. Look, personally, I am in favor of pushing forward and trying to play. I can also assure you, as a lawyer, that there are plaintiff’s lawyers already preparing marketing for soliciting and strategy for pursuing claims. Just what we need — more Thomas J. Henry ads.
  9. Don’t forget Dam Son and Da Phuc

Yeah, I don’t get why they do that, other than they are too lazy or cheap to pay someone to trim it in advance

  13. What is the benefit of that design as opposed to the traditional position?
  14. Why is his smokestack on the same end as the firebox?
  15. You know, I gotta admit I chuckled at first, but it is a typical a-hole Cowherd comment

Now we know who is buying the old railroad ties
  17. So what are the chances there is actually a full season if it's moved to the Spring? Are college presidents really going to sign off on 12+ games in the Spring followed by 12+ games starting 4-ish months later? Yes, they'd want the money but are they going to have players play 24+ games in that short of a period?
  18. That’s good — just couldn’t see it
  19. Only modification I would suggest is that you need cheese on the patties as well. Something about melted cheese actually on the patties....
  20. You mean the one from the commercial where the guy pronounces it "PICK-O?"
  21. Depends. Last couple of weekends hav been active for protests. No clue for this weekend. if you are worried, I’d avoid Congress (or anywhere just off Congress north of teh river) or 2nd Street area. Rainey STreet area (Kimpton Van Zandt) or even the Fairmont should be fine. If you want to spend the $$$, go for the Four Seasons. No worries about protests there. Plenty of places to get great BBQ awayy from teh protests — Terry Black’s, Valentina’s, Leroy & Lewis, Mickelwait, Stiles Switch all well away from any protests

Good choice on the Ruinart. Of the NV rose champagnes, it’s my favorite, followed by Laurent-Perrier or Billecart-Salmon. A vintage Taittinger Comtes is my top for rose.
  23. Agree. Can’t hate on Van Dyke.
  24. Rough Creek has a lot to do outdoors, and good food, but it's going to be pretty hot this weekend. However, it's a relatively short drive for you compared to the other options you mentioned. As for the others, I'd personally take SA (La Cantera, Hyatt or JW) over Galveston. They have the pools/lazy river. Horseshoe Bay is another option.

Yeah. I tried them once on a lark. They aren't worth the trouble.
