  1. What an absolute self destruction to end that drive. Horrible.
  2. Wow that's a garbage call and throw for 2pt conversion yikes.
  3. Unhappy about FGs but also understand we avoided two very reasonable INT chances too. I think we'll be ok if we settle down a little.
  4. Wow, Bijan really has a chance to be very special -- even in the NFL. I'm not even sure how to comp him...he reminds me of different parts of great RBs.
  5. LOL kicker MVP. How many points lost now?

I know this shouldn't be the real reason, but I wonder if the combination of the radio from Max and the close call with the halo kind of tweaked the stewards a little too. I'm not a racing expert at all, so I don't really know if Max was fully alongside (they said he wasn't at the critical moment) Hamilton. I leave all that to smarter people than I about the sport, I'm a casual...
  7. At this point, I'm ready to let Beard coach football.
  8. Missed FG and dropped punt, quite a performance.

I don't follow as much as most here -- but I was curious what people thought of Russell next year. Will the team let him really race or is he kind of going to be a #2 there? I'm not too caught up on the sport (got in it for family interest in it basically) but enjoying it now casually.
  10. Yeah, that's fair. I like the Gale Sayers comparison as I think that's pretty dead on even though obviously their running styles are very different...but I still do kind of see Earl as someone who could have done a lot more, which is also how I feel about Shaq despite his great career. I'm not as sold on Terrell Davis as an equivalent talent, but he was pretty good too.

Nope, especially Gordon. I was very wrong about him. I thought Butler wouldn't stay in Houston, but if he would have long-term, maybe I would have thought differently.
  12. I kind of think of Earl a little like a lesser accomplished version of Shaq -- amazing peak, completely dominant, but his career resume didn't really match his true talent. I think Shaq to a lesser extent also didn't fulfill his true potential. It's hard for me to compare baseball players so easily given the specialization, but obviously Clemens' career accomplishments are about as good as they get for a pitcher. I tried off the top of my head to rattle off ten great running backs and literally right now had Brown, Sanders, Payton, Emmitt, Dickerson, Campbell, Faulk, Tomlinson, Sayers, and O.J -- probably missing someone important or two, (like I just thought of Bo Jackson, another great RB cut down by injury) but I think Campbell (for me) belongs there.
  13. This kind of response is usually why I mostly lurk in this specific forum -- nothing negative mind you and even an understandable response, but it doesn't really make me want to engage very often in meaningful discussion if it turns into the poster versus the content/issue. I was legitimately surprised about the one bedroom stat, not so much the two bedroom home. I'll quietly see my way out.
  14. The National Low Income Housing Coalition published a report this month that showed a full-time minimum-wage worker can’t afford a modest two bedroom rental home anywhere in the US. These workers also can’t afford a one bedroom apartment in 93% of US counties, the report said. This statement kind of got my attention enough to read up a little.
  15. I really am not a fan of this trade for the Lakers. I have always respected Westbrook's motor/effort, but I don't think he's a good fit at all. I'll try and put the best spin on it with a few ways. Maybe Westbrook can let LeBron rest a lot more during the regular season, although I don't think Westbrook is a good passer/decision maker (I know he has a lot of assists, but he turns it over a lot too) and a gigantic drop off from LeBron. (still one of the best passers in the game today) LeBron would benefit best from more shooters and a great decision maker to take the load off him at PG. (Schroder/Westbrook ain't it -- a healthy Rondo was decent for spot duty, someone like that, etc.) I just can't get past how poorly Westbrook shoots from 3/charity stripe, and some other inefficient areas of his game. I think the best hope for the Lakers is that Westbrook meshes well with/motivates AD, because to me the Lakers true chances to win a title rest on a healthy AD being a superstar player, not just really good. I think he's the only one that can elevate to another level if healthy/motivated. He's got to clearly shove control of the team from LeBron as it's not realistic at this point that LeBron can even replicate say a 2018 Finals Game 1 type of performance when it comes playoff time, etc. Despite Westbrook's inefficient basketball play, I'd take Westbrook's effort and motor ten times out of ten over AD, so maybe he can rub off on AD a little. So I guess the hope is better team chemistry, some nice vet minimums? I think it's going to be entertaining for sure, but Brooklyn's pieces fit better to me.
  16. This is the best chance for aggy to go 14-0 and claim an undefeated record somehow, but they will blow this and go 13-1.
  17. I'm shocked Wright has someone other than LeBron at the top. I think Jokic should move way up (and I do mean way up more than most I bet), I don't have an issue with Kawhi/AD given the injury/reliability context. I wouldn't put Giannis at the top personally, (right now, I think KD is the best overall player) and highly doubt he wins a title again next year if certain other teams are healthy, but he has a damn good resume at his very young age, so I am curious where he goes from here. Defensive Player of the Year (LeBron has never won this), 2x MVP, 1 title/FMVP, 4x Defensive All-NBA already (Durant has zero and LeBron has 6 which Giannis likely passes), and he plays both ways pretty consistently. His advanced metrics overall this past year I would put him #2 behind Jokic if you look at everything. Yeah, he can't really shoot, but he's more Shaq than LeBron/KD anyway in a lot of ways. If he gets to say 3 titles in the next 7 years with more accolades, he would be getting up there in some pretty elite company. But he might not win another title either.

Wow, I wonder what will happen. I don't know the racing rules for that crash that well, just casually watching. But I enjoyed watching the first lap.
