  1. I remembered a game against TCU about a year ago and Pierce got tossed for arguing. There was a rule then that a coach was suspended for one game, but if he didn't leave when the umpires told him to, he was suspended for two games. I wouldn't believe each conference like the Big 12 had their own suspension rules. I thought that was governed by the NCAA. It's hard to keep up with all the rule changes. I decided to look up that game and found this.
  2. If Texas had replaced Patterson with CDC at the time you can bet Schloss would have come to Texas, then. CDC couldn't save Schloss at TCU after what went down there. Thus, Schloss had to bail to Aggy even though he didn't want to. Then as soon as CDC comes to Texas, it triggered the countdown till they were reunited again as soon as the Texas job became open. CDC didn't do anything to slow down that timeline and then went and made a deal with Schloss that he eagerly agreed to in April of last year, during an Aggy series with Georgia in College Station.
  3. As soon as CDC became the AD at Texas the countdown was on for Schloss to become the head baseball coach at Texas. They have a special relationship that began at TCU and has remained ever since. Schloss turned Texas down when Augie left, citing the program he had at TCU. He didn't talk about CDC still being there and then came the unfortunate circumstances that led to him having to leave for Aggy. This has all been well documented too. He never wanted to go to College Station and left to rejoin CDC at Texas as soon as he could.
  4. This is very fair, you can be great hosts and nice to opposing fans on their visits to Austin. At the same time your athletic department can be ruthless in its pursuit of greatness and most SEC athletic departments do the same if they can.
  5. Big boy wants another review.
  6. Tulo went over and talked to Winfield after the homer, bet he has been telling Winfield to go with the pitch more often and stop trying to pull everything.
  7. As I was saying this time an oppo homer.
  8. Winfield not trying to pull everything is a better hitter.
  9. He was safe and now we know why Walker only comes in to face lefty hitters
  10. He looks more like a silent movie star. He could be a Keystone cop.
  11. Speedster strikes again, you really need to review that.
  12. Texas would be one several they would lose.
  13. It's about the only poll that has them that high, put them in SEC and see how many series they lose.
