  1. Shaka managing to field some decent regular season teams at Marquette has been the saving grace for him being milquetoast rather than borderline disastrous.
  2. I wouldn't assume Lloyd is the hire but I'm willing to take it on faith that whoever the replacement is will be at least solid.
  3. Surprised St. Mary's didn't foul but it worked out.
  4. St. Mary's v. Vanderbilt is where the action is.
  5. Reading through that OTF thread and thought it was interesting that Gerry said 1) he would be happy with either Sean Miller or Tommy Lloyd as the hire and 2) he thinks Sean Miller is a much better basketball coach than Will Wade.
  6. CSU was the betting favorite.
  7. UNCW says not so fast my friend...
  8. Omaha-SJU looking like the only hope for entertainment for the rest of tonight.
  9. Don't feel like quoting the relevant posts, but someone mentioned Erik Spoelstra? What the fucking fuck?
  10. A Chip Brown report that RT is expected to be let go isn't "official", although we all know what's going to happen.
  11. Usually the media is so in the dark there aren't even leading names thrown around.
  12. This is the most obvious "he gone" situation since Strong in 2016. Edit: in the major sports
  13. My point isn't necessarily to dress up a Sean Miller hire as "could be awesome". It's that if it happens, it's another data point that when we have to hire a coach in a sport that the entire college athletics world invests in, it's suddenly not so easy to get a "home run hire", even with CDC at the helm with Texas resources. And I will again point out that almost every hire by top 25 programs of late has been an up and comer, exceptions being disgraced coaches (Beard) or sitting head coaches looking to get out of Dodge (Musselman, Calipari).
  14. Sean Miller would be the first hire that wouldn't immediately ignite the fan base at the outset since, well, Sark.
