  1. This conference is a shit show this year
  2. Frank has been around a lot of great baseball minds, when Vitello got hired it sorta stuck out to me that he would want to hang around with a 37/38 year old 1st year HC and rebuild an SEC doormat that hadn't been to the NCAA Tournament in 15 years. Certainly opinion, but you could argue he has done the best coaching job of anybody since he took that job in 2018. Frank is 65 but he is one of the best in the business and would just be an added bonus if Vitello is the direction CDC goes. Plus he is going to ride out the rest of his days as an assistant so you have stability on that front.
  3. Curious as to why? People still not over the 2021 prop celebrations?
  4. O'Connor is good to, my list was also centered around guys that I feel like would have no problem leaving their current situation. Anything is possibly but I have a hard time seeing O'Connor just up and leaving a place he has been 20 years.
  5. I like Canham, Oregon State is his home but the demise of the Pac 12 probably makes him more attainable than he otherwise would be
  6. I like his track record as a pitching coach, success on the mound has followed him everywhere he has been. He is more of a change of pace addition as he is 52 years old. He is more of a shot in the dark hire of the 3 for sure.
  7. Feel like this thread is appropriate for this discussion, so I’ll ask. If CDC pulls the trigger at the end of the year, who are your top 3? Just curious to see what other people are thinking For me it’s: 1. Tony Vitello 2. Rob Vaughn 3. Wes Johnson
  8. No, Schloss was there before CDC got there
  9. I agree but this team has issues that go beyond tweaking. Lebarron’s issues are as much between the ears as they are ability. Same could be said for much of the pitching staff. This team doesn’t have much of an approach offensively, just several guys who are individually talented that can hit the ball but don’t know how to navigate an AB. You can see us guessing a lot which is fine when it’s disciplined guessing but we will swing at shit in the dirt in hitters counts. Trying to pull a pitch on the outer third of the plate when the shift is on. I’ll always support the players who give max effort. This team unfortunately has some guys who are probably very good people, but pussies in the context of sport.
  10. Team has more issues than that unfortunately. Wouldn’t want to do that to some poor goat
  11. The two guys you suggested have 2 CWS appearances in 38 combined seasons as head coaches, come on now
  12. Steve Rodriguez has the 2nd best job in america
  13. I think what sums up this season perfectly is that are 1st base coach still has eligibility
  14. Pierce really wants that buyout money
  15. I almost feel bad for some of these pitchers that have some talent, Pierce fucks these kids by not using the entire strike zone
  16. Be real nice if that was a 2 run HR
  17. Getting picked off 1st in the 2nd down 4-0. Yikes
  18. You almost have to respect the juevos on Pierce for backing himself into the corner he did this season. Emphasis on almost
  19. Team hasn’t had many wins like that this year, pitching finally stepped and told the offense “we got you”
  20. Sucks that for the 2nd year in a row we are talking about how different this teams ceiling could look with a true Friday night shut down arm, whiffing in the portal again.
  21. Lebarron is taking a massive dump on this teams season
  22. He also has not been able to buy a double play even when he gets ground balls
  23. Good inning, sad at bat by Powell
