  1. Not anymore. Used to be routine charges would be dropped by girlfriends/ spouses/ even Ex's. I worked as an intern at a large county DA's office one summer in the early 1990s in the intake section where the victims of domestic abuse would come to drop charge after it had been submitted by the Police to the DA's office. Unless it was an attempted murder situation, they often got dropped. How some of the abuse cases were not listed as attempted murder still puzzles me to this day. And the number of repeat requests by the same victims was sad too.
  2. Welp.... When does Baseball season start? Softball promises to be good too. RIght?
  3. UIW takes care Sacramento State in the FCS Quarterfinals 66-63. UIW was up at the half 28-17. Both teams scored a combined 57 points in the 4th quarter. Crazy!
  4. Cuero 27-18 at half.... The Wimberley announcers on the Texan Live broadcast must 15 and 18 years old respectively
  5. As long as the UIL is tied to the hip with this deal at Jerryworld. All about the Benjis and kissing the hand of Superintendents in the North Texas/DFW area ISD's.
  6. And $14 to park in the Dome Parking lot. But I know of a secret spot close by you can park for free. If you cash app me $14, I’ll tell you where it is.
  7. Not so much whining just to whine. I really believe depending on how a coach approaches it, getting in the Refs ear can help get a bone thrown later in a game.
  8. Right there with you on the NBA. That league lost me about 20 years ago when the Spurs got robbed by the NBA and their darling Lakers in the playoffs. It was evident the NBA wanted the Lakers to get to finals for TV ratings.
  9. The Rig 12 Refs have not respected our coaching staff since Mack left. I know Mack wore out his welcome with many of us, but at least he knew how to work the Refs. We've had zero coaches since then who have done this consistently. Or even showed a brief outburst of rage when getting the screw job save that one time Charlie got flagged against Okie State. Look at our conference and the coaches that get some calls to go their way are the ones getting in Refs ear early and it might be a legit call too as we saw Dykes do exactly that when we played TCU with a penalty early in the game. He worked that side judge for almost the entire half and I guarantee it paid off later. Campbell is a whiny bitch, but it's worked for him too. I don't think Gundy gets in the Refs ear that much, they just know to screw us when we play Okie State so Gunday might take the night off with that one.
  10. All these kids today have hours of YouTube videos to watch along with the stuff on ESPN like 30 on 30 to get them up to date on the legends of the past like Deion. I'm thinking if you asked many of us who grew up when Deion was "Prime Time" if he'd be leading a major college program, the reaction would be a laugh, a roll of the eyes and maybe a choice word or two. Not sure these kids at CU were that moved when they heard he was offered and accepted the job.
  11. MSU is never going to win the SEC with or without him. They need to just keep him. Just like Tech was never going to win the Big 12 with him, but they would’ve saved themselves a lot of heartaches had thy not let Craig James and Kent Hance fire him. MSU will be a respectable 8,9 and maybe ever once in awhile 10 win team
  12. This is kind of what I got from Deion telling everyone to hit the portal. Things are going to change and it's not business as usual. I know it was a movie, but it's kind of like the scene from the Hoosiers when Gene Hackman walks into the gym and the team gives him the roll of the eyes and this is how we do things and he proceeded to tell those who thought they were the badasses to leave. For which they did, but later crawled back to beg to get back on the team. And the CU football program is pretty much a huge dumpster fire and has been this way for almost a decade going back to when they went PAC 12. I have a very close relative who until recently worked at CU at the Athletic Dept who pretty much confirms it was a dumpster fire and then some. He used to work with an up-and-coming athletic department at a school we are all familiar with here in Texas (not aggy) as an intern before he took that job in Boulder, and he said their attitude about football is what ticked him off the most. Growing up and going to school in Texas he saw how things were done right and he'd get blank stares and the such from the Einsteins who run the show up in Boulder. I hope Deion is a bull in the china shop up there.
  13. I miss this show. It was actually entertaining and informative at the same time unlike most of the stuff on ESPN now. This interview is an example.
  14. This is either going to be a spectacular success or a spectacular failure. If it's a spectacular failure, it might doom CU football to the point it will never recover which won't take much in its current condition. If it can actually get somewhere in the middle (which I doubt) and Deion moves on to his next gig, then maybe the program will be in a better position for the next man up.
  15. @Helobiousis a cholo from the Rio Grande Valley.
  16. And they will count it as a win in this years record too.
  17. The Cotton Bowl screwed themselves by not having a fall back type tie with the Power 5s in a non playoff hosting year similar to the Rose Bowl. Guess that all changes in the future, but this matchup kind of sucks for attendance and hype for sure.
