I'm generally of the belief that Looch is in on the conspiracy. He generates much of the hype that leads to the unrealistic expectations. He feeds the inability to think critically by pumping up an overly optimistic message that is then repeated until it becomes truth so no actual assessment has to be done. No critical thought required. No self assessment.

Ags are easily brainwashed... It starts with fish camp and you can see it on the political forum where they are susceptible to repeated taking points. They are susceptible to group think when an inspiring leader repeats the message over and over again. They don't deal in facts, they wallow in fiction.

This leads to inflated self worth, inability to actually assess and address issues, and reliance on conspiracies to explain their failure to meet expectations.

I think the school is in large part to blame for cultivating this this culture, but Looch as the "Sip" mastermind has taken it full throttle to generate a ton of income for himself and continue propogate this victim complex.

It would make a fascinating book.

    For Looch it’s all about…….

I love the convenience of being able to buy a tickets off the secondary market and immediately having it on your phone. But the fees that these secondary sellers add to the purchase are fucking ridiculous. If you buy now, and Bama and Washington are the two teams left, you are going to lose your ass because you’re not gonna recover the absurd fees you dropped in the initial purchase, and the prices for the actual tickets will be lower than they are now.

Fees are a fricken scam just like $40 plus parking.  The drug cartels should be proud of this racket

Hung with those Calallen teams? Not sure, different eras and all that. Calallen was as smashmouth as they come. But those Calellen teams back then did struggle in the playoffs when they played teams that… you know, had a lot of players like Miller has.

La Marque was stacked those years back in the mid 90s.    A couple of those years, the State title game was our game against  because La Marque went on the following week and just abused the opponent like no one’s business.  I would compare them to  Modern day Northshore or Duncanville because if the number  of players they had who signed to play college ball.    Now they are a shut down ISD taken over by Texas City ISD and a shadow of their former selves.

When was the most recent Region champ Calallen squad? 2016?

2018.   Lost 19-17 to Fort Bend Marshall, but held Archane to a season ,ow.

2016  Lost to Aledo 24-16 . Held Aledo to somewhere around 200 yards offense and season low in scoring.   Damn we had our chances to win that game.

Oh right they had two different divisions back then, one of them had an additional round. But yeah Edinburg was the Region champ after I think three rounds. Brownsville Vets has advanced four rounds but to be fair none of them have been SA teams.

@Nueces River Rat how would you rate this year's undefeated Miller team compared to the stronger Calallen teams of the past?

EDIT: Yeah three wins were Brownsville Hanna, Eagle Pass, and SA Taft, before falling to Eisenhower

Kind of hard because their styles of play are different.    Calallen has always been power football and and strong defense to complement it.  Miller on the other hand is spread it out and score quick and defense be damned for the most part.   They dare you to get into that game with them and they’ve had the athletes on offense to it too.    The problem is when they get socked in the mouth by a team that plays D and they lose their composure.

It's odd for sure.     After the Tech game,  Yormark should've had a clue the presentation would go down like it did with the fan reaction.     Not showing up would've been obvious.   This is when someone who is quick to pivot on things would just say " Congrats to the University of Texas on your Championship and Good luck in the CFP",  then hand Sark the hardware , let the media gal  from ESPN take over the program and exit stage right.

Dan Beebe was pretty fucking terrible. This guy is just not hiding his hatred for us.  Beebe just hid it.

Didn’t aggy accuse Beebe of being a UT tool?    I guess had aggy been in the Rig 12 right now, they’d accuse Yormark of being a UT tool, so that probably answers the question.    lol.

  8. That was glorious yesterday and being there in person was even more of a treat.    I’ve been to many gyms, arenas, and stadiums in my life and that was the most gratifying moment of displeasure I’ve ever seen.

That delay of game call on Texas just before the half was idiotic.  OSU slow in substituting and ref pulled his hand of the ball with 1 second on the play clock and he was still right next to the DT with zero on the play clock.  Gamesmanship by Gundy, no problem. Refs gotta be smarter than to call that on Texas.  Literally a fraction of a second to snap the ball with a ref still right in the middle of the DL.  Stupid call

It’s a trend I’ve seen in other games.   Anytime the defense does a last second sub, they need to add five seconds to the play clock.    Problem solved.

At the time, didn’t the announcer (Joel Klatt?) say that the way they called it, review really couldn’t fix it? And the review result (Bama keeping the ball but punting) was kind of bogus but the best they could do in review to unfuck it?

I didn’t understand that explanation either.   Especially since the same conference Refs at one time penalized us via a review for a spot or something  a few years ago.   Maybe I’ve missed it, but I haven’t seen or heard a team since then getting flagged in such a fashion.

Only two more days until we say adios to these corrupt clowns.
