  1. Go Navy! An actual explanation of the Armed Services given to me by a Marine Master Sergeant: The Marines exist to hit the beach and die when somebody fucks up. The Navy exists to steam around in godforsaken circles when somebody fucks up. The Air Force exists to stand around and look spiffy in their blue uniforms when somebody fucks up. And the Army exists... to fuck up.
  2. Beating Aggie took us from "certainly not in the playoff" to "almost certainly not in the playoff." It is what it is. And that's not surprising. I mean, forget the resume talk. From an optics perspective, team really only looked good in the 2nd half vs OU, the first three quarters vs Vanderbilt, and the 2nd half against A&M. Be grateful for 9-3 given how poorly we played at times and hope we worked it out of our system this year.
  3. Gruesome, but not ultimately surprising. We haven't played a complete game on offense and defense all year. Unlikely to start now. There needs to be a serious, objective autopsy to plan for next year.
  4. We just don't like games that aren't heart stoppers. Too bad. It was a solid victory most of the way.
  5. I have no expectations of anything great ever. It's too bad. With Jerry's financial acumen, the Boys could have been something top drawer for a while if he'd just hire a good GM and a real coach that other teams want. Instead, he's an ego-fueled hobgoblin always in search of a camera, and Dallas is trapped in purgatory.
  6. Felt like more of a win than last week.

Very true. There are maybe a few things to be learned from Herman's tenure, but the only thing to be learned from Strong's tenure is, regrettably, that he was in over his head from Day 1.
  8. You've got a stronger stomach than I do. For safety's sake, please allow the appropriate interval of time between viewing "street-pure" videos of the Texas offense. On the plus side, though, it's only addictive for the hardest core masochists.
  9. Why not both? With an offense that putrid, it's just sane to be desperate at the start of the game. But yeah, it was way to early for that shit.
  10. It beats our heavily-sedated penguin approach to offense.
  11. To clarify, our offense plays like they all met each other fifteen minutes before the game, they hate each other, they were all given different playbooks, and someone drugged the QB.
  12. They;re gonna roll us if the offense shows up looking like it did at Kentucky.
  13. Arch threw it at the barn's foundation. The barn should have stretched out for it.
  14. I honestly don't think we should be entertaining any hope for the playoffs absent sustained improvement on offense. We did not evidence competence on offense against Kentucky. If we show up like that at Starkville, we could definitely lose to the lesser Mississippi.
  15. What a novel concept.
